CHAPTER 82

Then I woke up with the feeling of a palm moving on my cheek and as I open my eyes I saw it was Mike and I quickly sit right and I stood up and he just stare at me and chuckle and he tucked his hands into his pocket.

I quickly check my time and I see it was 10: 30pm, "sir please i need to go home to my husband and my kids"

" Alright" he answered. I quickly pick my handbag while I rush into the elevator and I bring out my cellphone , 20 missed calls from my husband. quickly dialled my husband number.

" Hello"

" My queen, where are you, what's happening? Are you alright? He asked.

"Am sorry my king, it's work, I just left the office, how are the kids?

" They must have cried to sleep" I said.

" I and mom was able to put them to sleep, please my queen be careful, I would wait for you outside the gate.

" I love you" he said

" I love you too" I said.

"They are already asleep" the elevator opens and I rush out if I could still find a bike or taxi and as I was still standing, Mike pulls up beside me.

" I will take you home" he said as he wines down .

"Sir, I will take a taxi" I said.

" It's not safe out there, God forbid, what if armed robbers think you have some money on you and attack you" he said with what he just said I became extremely scared and quickly enters into his car.

The incident inside the office waking to his palm on my cheek kept playing in my head, " was he being caring or was he trying to......No I don't want to think things this way. I said in my mind.

I could see him stealing a look at me and smiling while I face outside then my mind was on my kids and my husband, how much my kids would have cried and how worried my husband and mother in law must be .

Finally he pulled up in front of our house, I  rushed to embrace my husband.

" Am sorry, there was lots of job and as a personal secretary I had to wait for my boss to be through" I said.

He kissed me " alright, the most important thing is you came back home safe" he said and held my hand we both enter the compound and he closes the gate. " You know my queen when you didn't pick your call I was beginning to think if something has happened to you" he said.

" Did you had something for dinner? I asked.

" Yes baby, I made something special, your favourite" we entered into the house and I could see my mother in law sitting on the chair watching her favourite daily soap opera.

" Good evening ma" I greeted.

" Welcome, you scared us when you didn't pick your calls" she said.

"Am sorry ma" I said.

" I use to put my cellphone on silent mode at work that's why" I said.

" How was work today? She asked.

" Fine ma"
