CHAPTER 39

Ruth went to the kitchen accompanied by Purist. They truly found that all the ingredients had been put in place already. She started giving Purist instructions on how to cook them but later on was surprised to see that Martin had been seated in the kitchen all this while watching them. She started cooking in a slowest and a linient manner. 

" Allow me to do this mama. I want to know how to cook more all the foods that we have cooked are very delicious especially the green leafy vegetables. I would like us to keep cooking them so that they be the best. Please....mamaaa" Said Purist smiling. 

" It will all depend on your father and what she exactly wants. If she really wants it to happen then it will so happen. You know deeply well that I do not have any say in it" said Ruth smiling. 

Martin nodded her head in agreement which meant yes. He left the kitchen since he felt that the ladies were not really comfortable. 

As soon as they finished cooking, Ruth requested Purist to go ahead and start setting the table ready to prepare the meal. 

She had been taught by Lady Nana how to really do it. Therefore, she knew how to set the table perfectly. 

" Perfect! Perfect ! My sweet little child. I am so much honoured to have you as my daughter. Therefore I know that you will be the best elder sibling to my baby. Although I am not expecting your younger sibling right now. Your father and I will plan it soon" said Ruth smiling. 

" Thanks mama. I will now go to the study and inform Papa that the foud is ready. I am sure that Papa will have no choice but to come and taste our sweet delicious meal. It will all be so sweet. I think we should call the servants to taste the meal too" said Purist smiling. 

" I believe so too but I do not really think your father will like that. I believe that you know how much he values our family. I am a hundred percent sure that he would not really like this to happen. Believe me because I am the one who is truly telling you" said Ruth as she accompanied her to inform Martin that the meal was ready. 

Martin silently followed them to the dining and was astonished to see the meal that she had prepared. 

Martin was astonished to see the table transformation. He had never seen such a tasty meal prepared before even by his own servants. 

He sat and requested his wife Ruth to serve him. Ruth served him passionately.

Martin felt the transformation of love. The kind of love that he had never seen before. He could hide the fact that he was falling in love with the delicious meal. 

" Please add me some. You cook very delicious green leafy vegetables and I do believe that it is healthy for a great family like our. Since we postponed going to the mall today, we will surely go to the mall tomorrow and but the schools uniform that you really need. I do believe that it will be accepted" said Martin smiling. 

Ruth moved away from the dining and kept jumping while clapping her hands. She could not believe that the awesome thing had finally happened. 

" Thanks so much love. Don't you both look at me like that. I am still a wife and a mother and more than that. I am a perfect chef that no one could have believed that I was. Anyway, I am still that awesome person. I think we should share this delicious meal with the servants too especially Lady Ruby, Lady Nana and Lady Akeshia" said Ruth smiling. 

" Are you out of your mind? Do you want me to call out the servants to eat at the same table with me? That will never happen so long as I am alive. I would rather that they eat the remainings of the food. I cannot waste my time letting them be happy. This matter has made me feel bad" said Martin who stopped eating at once and looked at Ruth angrily. 

Ruth widened her eyes in disbelief as she looked at Purist and then looked at Martin. Purist's face was filled with sadness. She regretted the fact that she had requested Ruth to ask her father about the situation. 

" I.....did..not mean to really ask you. It was just something that I really thought. I am deeply sorry Martin if I have indeed offended you. I believe that you will do forgive me. See the nice delicious meal that I have made. I hope that you are indeed enjoying it" said Ruth who seemed to be very apologetic. 

Martin did not really want to listen to her. Martin immediately called her out of the dining and led her to the room despite the many times that Purist had pleaded with her. 

" Listen to me. Do you not have anymore respect for me simply because I have asked you to prepare the meal? I will never want you to prepare some other more meal for me. You will spend the rest of your time in the matrimonial bed and that I do really assure you. Don't ask me to be your testimony because I will not really be one" said Martin angrily.

He did not even really know what he was really saying. Ruth was already devastated by the situation. All he wanted to do was to just remain where he was. He was shocked by the situation. He quickly left the place filled with so much devastation. He slapped Ruth till Ruth fell on the bed. She wailed a svream that awaken Purist who had been ordered to go and sleep in her room. She came as quickly as she could as she kept knocking on the door. Martin did not open the door but instead sat on the floor as tears fell down her eyes.
