CHAPTER 95

Naomi on the other hand had spotted Purist on the town where she had gone to trade the clothes for her business. She spotted Purist and tried to follow her but Purist immediately disappeared. Naomi decided to go back home to give Ruth the great news even though she was not sure that Purist will be interested in it. 

Naomi found Ruth and Faith seated on the garden and decided to join them. Faith noticed that Naomi was as happy as a lark and therefore decided to ask her. 

" What lightens your mood today Mama Naomi?" Asked Faith filled with lots of curiosity. 

" I decided to go and trade my clothes in Mambo town today and I luckily spotted someone. I spotted Purist and she was dressed like a married woman in that community. This is a good opportunity for us to go and search for her in that town. I am sure that we will be able to find her" said Naomi smiling. 

" That is so far great news that I have heard ever since things went wrong. I agree with you Mama Naomi. We will go and find Purist then bring her back home" said Faith who was overwhelmed. 

Ruth was silent. It was clear that she did nkt want to participate in searching for Purist. She left the garden and silently went to her room. She locked her door room as soon as she entered. 

" Please try to understand Ruth since I know where she is coming from. She still remembers the threats that Tere gave her and is afraid to go to jail. I am a hundred percent sure that her wish is her daughter to be found" said Naomi smiling. 

" It is important that I go and have a conversation with her" said Faith who left Naomi in the garden .

She went to Ruth's room and found that Ruth's room was locked. She kept knocking on the door but Ruth did not bother to open. 

" It's alright if you don't want to open the door. I just want you to think about this. I know that after we find Purist then we will definetly go to jail. Are you not the one who taught me that risk must be my number one priority in life? Are you not the one who taught me that as long as you fight for what you want in life then you will never loose. Are you not the one who told me that good people never get harmed? I understand that you are doing this because you fear the threats that Terd told you. I guess that I do not understand how you feel because I was never there. But if you change your mind then I am right here waiting for you so that we can draw a plan on how save Purist" shouted Faith while she was still by the door. 

As soon as she wanted to leave, she heard the door open, Ruth  came out and immediately hugged her as tears welled down her eyes. 

" We are going to bring my daughter back home. You and I both know that we did not kill those innocent men. Thank you for making me understand that I taught that good people don't usually get into any harm or hurt" said Ruth smiling. 

Ruth and Faith immediately left in Ruth's car. They went to Mambo town to search for Purist. It was a town that belonged to a completely different community. In that community, people hid their hair by wearing scarfs and their feet by wearing stockings. 

Unfortunately, Faith and Purist were not dressed like that which made them not to be allowed to enter the town. Naomi was allowed to enter since he was a business woman who was allowed to trade. 

They decided to go to the nearest shop to buy the items but did not find them. They came back to the boundaries of  Mambo town and beg the soldier to allow them to enter but the soldier refused. Faith decided to give him some money to allow them to enter as they pretended to be traders. The soldier agreed to their terms and was as happy as a lark to be given the money. 

They therefore went to the market and bought the items that were needed to be a full member of the community. They started looking for Purist without asking anyone or showing a picture of her since they did not want to be recognized that they were not from that town. 

They searched for Purist till nightfall but yet they decided that they won't leave. They knew that once they left then it would be hard to come back. It was already getting cold and yet they were still walking around the streets of the town since they left their car at the garage in the town center which was far away from where they were. 

It started raining which made them to look for umbrella and buy it but there were no umbrellas around. Luckily, a car stopped Infront of them. The man in the car offered to give them a lift. He decided to take them to his own apartment. As soon as he arrived, he ushered them tea and immediately made a coffee for them. He finished making coffee and decided to serve them. 

" Why were you people walking while it was raining? Don't you have your homes to go? Ares you people really from Mambo community?" Asked the man as he served them coffee.

" No! We are not from the mambo community. We are from the most richest comment known as the closer gates. We have come to find my niece who was sold in this community. Her mother married her against her own wish and without our concern yet she was a minor. We have come to save her from this injustice" said Faith filled with lots of confidence. 

Faith was saying all these simply because she thought that the stranger man would help. The stranger man immediately went to the kitchen and started to sharpen his knife. This made both Faith and Ruth to be filled with lots of worry. They could not stop wondering why the man kept sharpening his knives. There was only one option. It truly meant that the man was trying to get rid of them by sharpening the knife. They immediately opened the door and ran away till they saw the man no more. 

" Do you think the people in this community eat people? That man wanted to cut us into pieces and fry us in the pan. Wow! That was too close. I guess these are some of the challenges that we are going to face while searching for Purist and there are more to come. Do you think that Tere might had already know that we are searching for Purist?" Said Faith filled with lots of curiosity. 

" No! If she could have known then she could have already called the police to arrest us. We have to find a hotel where we will sleep tonight. I am scared of sleeping in the streets. It's raining too much and might catch some cold. I think that we should go to a nearby house and seek for a shelter" said Ruth in a pellucid voice. 

" You want us to seek a shelter? What if that person ends up cutting us into pieces as if it's a butchery the same way the other person tried to do"

" Not everybody is bad in this world. My heart  tells me that if we go and seek for shelter then we will get sonebody who will be able to else. Who knows? That person might even help us to search for Purist. Am sure that they might have known that she got married. Look at that house. Don't you think that we should go forward and try it out" said Ruth smiling. 

Ruth held Faith's arm and led her to the house since she knew that Faith would resist. As soon as they arrived at the house, they rang the bell. The gate was immediately opened. They entered and went into the main mansion which they could notice since it was the biggest mansion in that plot. They immediately saw two soldiers coming out of the mansion. They were led to the owner of the mansion. 

They were astonished to find out that the owner of the house had pierced all over his body and had filled them with golden earings.

" What do you both want?" The man asked in a commanding voice. 

" We just want shelter for the night. That's all sir" Ruth replied. 

The man agreed to give them shelter. He immediately asked the soldiers to take them to their rooms and lock the door once they enter. Both of them were taken into extra guest rooms. They were astonished that there were no beds in the rooms. They had never seen such kind of living before.
