CHAPTER 96

Both Faith and Ruth were taken to extra rooms on that guest mansion. They were astonished to find out that the rooms did not have bed. They had never seen such kind of life before. They looked around the room and were astonished to see a mat at the corner of the room. They immediately took the mat and put it on the middle room so as to enable a balance in the room while they slept. 

At that instant, Ruth felt that she was angry and needed some water to drink. She went towards the door and tried to open the door but the door did not open. She was astonished at what was going on. After a few minutes, one of the body guards who were guarding at the door immediately opened the door for her. Ruth angrily opened the door and went towards Faith's room. She arrived there and tried to open the door but they body guard who was guarding Faith's room stopped her. 

" What is going on here? I want to have a conversation with my sister right now" said Ruth angrily. 

" Let her see her sister" said Ryan the man who had given them shelter. 

Ruth immediately opened the door and was astonished to find out that Faith had already slept and could not stop shivering. She immediately went towards her and raised her. 

" I need warm water" said Faith as she suddenly woke up in Ruth's arms.

" Sir! My sister is feeling unwell. Is there any hospital that is near this place? I cannot let her spend the night like this" said Ruth filled with lots of worries. 

" There is a hospital nearby. We can take her there but we wonder who the person will be who will be responsible for her hospital bills. She might be suffering from pneumonia after being rained on outside before you came here to seek shelter" said Ryan who seemed a bit serious. 

" I will think of what to do. I can even sell my car since I don't have enough money that I could have carried along with me"

" Where is the car parked?"

" The car is parked at the town center. If you take me there then I will be able to get my car and sell it. Please help me Sir" said Ruth. 

Ryan immediately went towards them and carried Faith as Ruth followed them closely behind them. Ryan entered the car and asked the bodyguards not to come along with them. They arrived at a nearby hospital and Ryan immediately commanded the doctors to attend to Faith. They left all the other patients and attended to her. 

" Take good care of my patient. The two of us will be back in a short while to check on her" said Ryan. 

Ryan held Ruth's arm and led her out of the hospital. He therefore opened the glinding door if the car for Ruth to enter. 

" What are you doing Sir? I need to be there for Faith immediately the doctors have finished treating her" said Ruth hesitantly. 

" What did I tell you? Have you suddenly forgotten what we had agreed on? We need to go to the town center and get hold of your car and sell it. It will enable us to pay the downpayment for Faith's hospital bill" said Ryan as he entered his car and drove off. 

Ruth was able to realize that the hospital and Ryan's home was not far from the the town center. They only felt that it was far because they had trek for a long time. They arrived at the place that Ruth had claimed she left the her car and did not find it there. Ruth nodded her head in disbelief. 

" Who could have stolen my car? I wish I did not leave my car here. I had no idea that Mambo community have thieves who steal. At the closer gates and around the closer gates town there are no thieves. Why is this town different?" Said Ruth as tears welled down her eyes. 

Ryan went close to her and hugged her. As soon as Ruth was able to calm down, they entered the Ryan's car and left to the hospital. They immediately went to see the doctor who claimed that he was treating Faith. 

" The patient has pneumonia. She also has a cold allergy. We are glad that she has been brought to town on time otherwise then her situation could gave worsened. I am afraid to say this but the patient needs to be admitted right away. We need to monitor her health" Said the doctor. 

" Thank you doctor. We agree by the fact that she needs to get admitted right away. We will pay the downpayment at the cashier's office" said Ryan who held Ruth's arm and led her out of the doctor's office. 

Ruth got angry at the decision that Ryan had made without consulting her. They went to the cashier's office and as Ryan wanted to pay, Ruth took the money away from him and left but Ryan quickly followed her and stopped her. 

" What are you doing? Does your sister not need to be admitted? Why are you suddenly declining my offer to help? Do you think........." Said Ryan but Ruth suddenly interrupted. 

" Why would I actually need your help? I can cell my bracelets and pay the down payment" said Ruth smiling. 

Indeed Ruth had bracelets in her arms and around her neck. They were golden bracelets and Ruth felt that it would cost a lot of money if she sold them and it would enable her to be able to pay for Faith's hospital bills. 

" Listen to me carefully young lady. Your sister has not yet been admitted in the hospital and she will not be admitted not unless we pay the money. Where do you plan to sell your bracelets in the first place? People of this town do not like bracelets and there are no such shops. People buy them in other towns if they want to. So! Are you going to allow me to help you?" Asked Ryan smiling. 

" Yes! But I will pay you as soon as I go back to my home" said Ruth who agreed to Ryan's help. 

They immediately went to the hospital's cashier and paid the bill. Faith was immediately admitted in the hospital and taken to the ward. Ruth entered the ward as tears welled down her eyes. With this, all her plans were ruined. She had neither money nor anything that would take them to town. Faith immediately woke up as soon as she heard Ruth's cries. 

" I am sorry" said Faith as tears welled down her eyes. 

" No! You do not really have to tell me sorry. I am not the one who you should apologize because of your sickness. Besides, I do not blame you for anything. What I want is for you to get well soon and that will be enough for me. Then we will go ahead with our plans of looking for Purist" said Ruth smiling. 

" Wait a minute! How have you been able to pay my hospital bills? The last thing I remember is that we did not carry any cash along with us" said Faith filled with lots of curiosity. 

Ruth was silent for a while. She did not want to tell Faith the truth that it was Ryan who paid for her hospital bills. 

" Do not worry about the hospital bills right now. You should only worry about your getting well soon. I want you to get well soon. Ryan and I will go later on to the chemist and get the medicines that the doctors have ordered that you be brought for" said Ruth smiling. 

" But......" Said Faith but Ruth suddenly interrupted. 

" Say no more and just get well soon. Then you will be able to tell me everything that is disturbing your mind sister"

" What about Aunt Naomi and grandma Magdalene?"

" My phone went out of battery but I will call them as soon as I charge my phone. I am sure that they must be worried about us right now. That is why it is important to me that I should call them" said Ruth. 

Ryan who had been listening to them all this while took out his phone and gave it to Ruth. Ruth kept wondering the main reason why Ryan was good to them even without knowing whom they really were. 

Ruth took took the phone and went outside the ward since she was desperate to have a conversation with both Naomi and Magdalene. 

She immediately called them and was happy as lark to hear from them. Ruth informed them not to worry about her anymore since she was safe. She immediately deleted the number and gave the phone back to Ryan as soon as she came back to the ward. 

" Thankyou for being good to me Ryan. I really appreciate you and the fact that you are good in my life" said Ruth smiling. 

Faith started suspecting Ruth and Ryan at that instant.
