CHAPTER 133

That was how Olam town was declared a town. Knowing this, Martin and Akeshia felt that the leader of town one was really going to help them convince Ryan and Ruth to allow them attend the burial since he had good relations with Mambo town. 

As soon as they arrived they were taken into one house as the house was commonly named where they found Mr. One seated on a swinging chair which was written his name. They were ushered two stools next to where Mr. One was seated.

" What brings my sister-in-law and my son here?" Asked Mr. One who without looking at them on the face.

" We really need your help" said Martin in a pellucid voice.

" Whst kind of help do you need from me? Is it business kind of help?" Asked Mr. One.

" We need you to help us get something that the people of Mambo town are denying from us. They are denying us the right to mourn my mother. Would you please help us in this?" Asked Akeshia.

" No! I don't want my community to be involved in the war between your community and people of that community. We cannot help you at this time because we have a lot of problems to deal with right now. I have a counsel meeting at the counsel square within the next two minutes. I hope both of your won't mind if I leave. Ask my ladies if you need anything" Said Mr. One who left.

Akeshis and Martin were astonished by his sudden reply. They never thought that Mr. One would refuse to help them based on the relationship that the two of them had before.

" Let's go Mama. We have no business here" said Martin who held Akeshia's arm and tried to help her stand as he stood but Akeshia removed Martin's arm from her and refused to leave.

" I am not going to allow Mr. One to just leave without helping us. I know what he wants and that what he wants is his weakness" said Akeshia which made Martin to be filled with lots of worries.

" What does he want? I am not going to leave you here till you tell me what Mr. One wants. I am very worried about you mama. I don't want you to be in danger because of grandma Magdalene. After all, she never cared about us. She always chose her nuclear family over us who never meant anything to her" said Martin.

" That is why we must not let them enjoy their last minutes with mama. That is the revenge we are going to take on them for taking your grandma away from you. Just go home and I will come back home with mama" said Akeshia who signalled to Martin to leave.

Martin immediately left filled with lots of worries. He kept wondering what it was that Akeshia meant since she had never hidden any secrets from him before. 

As soon as Martin left and there was no trace of him, Akeshia sneaked into Mr. One's room and was astonished to find out that he had not yet gone to the counselor meeting like he had claimed he was supposed to.

" What are you doing here?" Asked Mr. One who wanted to put his coat on. 

" I want you to accept my request and help me seek my bereaved mama and burry her myself. Can you imagine that Ruth her granddaughter is denying us that right?" Said Akeshia as tears welled down her eyes.

Akeshia immediately took the coat and assisted Mr. One to dress it then pecked him on his cheeks as she tried to smell his perfume. This act of seduction failed as Mr. One pushed Akeshia away from him.

" This is not the past where you used to seduce me and get away with what you wanted. I am not going to help you and my decision is final. Please leave before I embarass you" said Mr. One who signalled to Akeshia to leave. 

Akeshia instead went towards him and tried to kiss him as Mr. One kissed back till he was about to undress Akeshia but Akeshia stopped him by holding his arm. She used the chance to make him sit on top of the bed and therefore sat on top of him.

" I really want my mama" said Akeshia. 

" I want my daughter too. Will you give that to me? It has to be a deal for a deal and a life for a life" said Mr. One. 

This made Akeshia to stand and wanted to leave but Mr. One stopped her by holding her arm. 

" I want my family to be complete. I want you to come back to me and forget about the closer gates. Would you do that for me?" Asked Mr. One smiling. 

" I have worked so hard to maintain my relationship with my son Martin. I will not allow you to destroy the mother-son relationship we have built. You seemed to be so much concerned about Faith but I do not really think she might ever want to be concerned about you. What Faith wants is to stay with the family which accepted her for who she is. She will never leave Ruth for the sake of ' THIS' family" said Akeshia.

Mr. One stood from the bed and pushed Akeshia towards him. He stroke her hair and made them in good order in order to see Akeshia's face clearly. 

" What make you think that Faith would not want this family? She will come once we forcefully take mama Magdalene away from them" said Mr. One.

" No! I am not going to do anything that involves my daughter's hapiness. I would never want to destroy her hapiness since her hapiness is with the people that she has right now" said Akeshia. 

Mr. One looked at Akeshia angrily. He was angered by the fact that Akeshia did not want to give in to his request. This made him to signal to Akeshia to leave but Akeshia did not bother to leave.

" I won't leave till you help but it saddens me for the fact that I cannot withstand all of your conditions. Everything seems difficult to me. Faith is happy where she is and I think I am not in a position to ruin her hapiness. Her hapiness really matters to me. Besides, she will never accept you as her father" said Akeshia.

" Let's take it as a challenge and try it out. Let's go" said Mr. One.

" No! I have told you that I am not going to ruin my daughter's hapiness. She is happy where she is and it's what's best for her" said Akeshia.

Mr. One immediately left the room and locked it from the outside leaving Akeshia inside who started knocking on the door while screaming. This caught the attention of everyone at One mansion who tried to find out what was happening but Mr .One opened the door once more and signalled to Akeshia to be silent. 

" I am going to use you as a bait to get my daughter back to me. I know Faith is my daughter and Tupfer knew about it in the past. That was the main reason why he made my daughter to live a difficult life and chased her away from the closer gates. That is why Faith chose to live with Ruth abd detest your family" said Mr . One laughing annoyingly.

" She had no idea that I was her mother since I lived most part of my life as a servant when Tupfer found out the truth immediately Faith was born. I don't regret living that kind of life since I was still near my children. Mr. One I ......." Said Akeshia but Mr. One suddenly interrupted.

" I know all those. I also know that your son married a young child at the age of sixteen. What a shame! He should have just stayed with his wife Tere. Ruth is the root cause of all the problems that closer gates has always experienced the past few years. It's time for vengeance to take place. It's time for my family to come back to me and I know that Faith will come back to me once I manage to create a rift between her and Ruth. That bond must be severely broken" said Mr. One.

" When did you become so evil?" Asked Akeshia.

" When my friendship with Mr. Tupfer came to an end. When he chased my own daughter Faith Tupfer out of the closer gates. I am locking this room and you have no choice than to remain silent" said Mr. One who immediately locked the room and left.

Mr. One therefore decided to go to Mambo town to have a conversation with Faith. Unluckily, he was astonished to find out that Faith had already left Mambo town and everyone in Ryan's family including Vivian and Lawrence who were forced to go. 

Mr. One felt dissapointed by the whole situation. He was too late to accomplish his plans.
