CHAPTER 143
Both Tere and Mr. One left the closer gates since they needed to discuss more about the issue. They accidentally went to the pub that usually belonged to Faith. This was also the pub that Faith heard Tere telling one of her killer warriors to ensure that she goes ahead and kills Ruth's family.
Fsith immediately informed Ruth about the idea that her family was being killed as per an order. Unluckily, Ruth left the closer gates to go and try to save her family found out that they had been. Ruth's Father and siblings were lying lifeless on the floor in a pool of blood.
She cried tears of pain but was convinced to forget about the issue. That was how she devised the idea that they should leave town and never come.
Magdalene and Naomi agreed to Ruth's terms and therefore left town. Unluckily, Akeshia and Purist were able to locate Ruth and tried to seek Ruth's help when Tere insisted that Purist should get married at the age of sixteen. Yet that was all in the past. Only the pain in the heart were the only desire left which led to a certain strong urge to revenge.
Mr. One and Tere therefore looked for a possible private and darker area inorder to have their conversation. They wanted to be careful in order for no one to earsdrop their conversation.
They immediately ordered for two bottles of tusker and thefore began to drink.
" Have you been here before It's almost as if everybody in this pub knows you" Asked Mr. One once he found out that Tere was familiar with the pub and almost everybody at the pub kept waving at her .
" I have been in this pub several times and the main theme was to ensure that Ruth's family decreased in number. What I don't understand was the fact that Ruth always remained strong and alive no matter the many times that I asked for her to be killed" Tere said as she was in deep state of confusion.
" This time there will be no mistakes. The warriors that I am going to hire are very qualified warriors. They never fail on their targets easily. How do you want them to be killed?" Asked Mr. One smiling.
" I want a war between Mambo community and our two other communities. I want it in a way that no one would suspect that the two of us are the ones who initiated that war. I want a great war that will leave most people of Mambo community shedding blood of tears instead of tears of tears" said Tere laughing annoyingly.
Mr. One looked at Tere astonished. He was astonished at the kind of murderer that she was who do not fear to see people dying in a pool of blood.
" Do you think I will get the love that I deserve through violence? How will I be able to rest easily knowing truly well that I have killed a lot of innocent people because of the love that I have for my family? Please explain to me" said Mr. One who was worried about the whole plan.
" When you are too selfish because of love therefore you won't have to care about what other people feel? Did you know them before? Now listen to me Mr. One. Tere is a dangerous woman and of you need to work with her then you should be a dangerous person like her. I don't think that I will ever stop being dangerous no matter what happens. Being dangerous is and will always be part of my life" said Tere which astonished Mr. One because her eyes suddenly turned to red.
" I ...I think that I cannot do this anymore. I thought that it was going to be easy but it will never be easy anymore to kill people because of my selfish gains" said Mr. One in a pellucid voice.
Tere took a glass from the broken pieces of glass and the broke the glass into pieces at that instant. She immediately went towards Mr. One and pointed one of the broken glasses at him.
" Tere never likes people who back out of her game. Why do you want to give up so suddenly? What's the matter with you? I never work with people who are weak. You better go and start preparing the people of your own town about the huge war that is coming up in a week's time" said Tere who threw the broken glass on the floor and then left.
Mr. One widened his eyes in disbelief. He never thought that he would be threatened by a woman at any time of his life. He wondered how Tere was daring. She pointed the broken glass at Mr. One and did not care about the fact that people around her were looking at her.
Mr .One immediately left the pub out of shame. Till then, no one had an idea that the pub belonged to Faith.
Ruth and Nelly finished cooking their food and decided to serve food on the dining table . Faith , Ryan and Naomi arrived at that instant.
They joined both Nelly and Ruth at the dining table. As soon as they served them food, Faith was astonished to find out that Ruth had not prepared for her her favourite dish like Ruth had promised.
" Lady! Where are my beans and rice that you promised to prepare for me?" Asked Faith angrily.
" Please forgive me Faith. I had meant to cook your favourite dish as I had promised but the dish got burnt and spoiled. I will make your favourite dish tomorrow. After all, the people of this town and mansion never used to cook before we came to this town. They only bought food from hotels and snacks from vendors" said Ruth who wanted to tease both Nelly and Ryan bit felt as if she would offend them.
" Yes! We never cooked before because it was the culture of this community. I am so happy that when you came you changed everything. You were able to make us understand that people can be able to cook in their own homes. I pray that you will never make such a mistake ever again as teasing us and our cultures which we have been following for so many years" said Nelly angrily who left to her room.
Ruth followed her at that instant. She had treasured Nelly very much in such a way that she never wanted for Nelly not be in bad terms with her. She found Nelly seated on top of her bed crying. Ruth immediately went towards Nelly and hugged her but Nelly pushed her away.
" Nelly! I know that by what I said I meant that your culture is uncultured but I did not mean to offend you .I beg you to please...." said Ruth but Ryan suddenly interrupted her who entered Nelly's room.
" Shut up! You had no right to comment about our culture. Leave me alone because I want to speak with my sister" said Ryan angrily who signalled to Ruth to leave.
Ruth immediately left because she felt sad that Ryan had thrown her out of Nelly's room. She immediately went towards her room as she began to cry. Faith and Naomi who heard Ryan shout at Ruth at the dining table decided go there but were astonished to see Ruth crying in her room since her room door was open.
Both Faith and Naomi immediately went towards her and embraced her. They had never seen Ruth sad like that before. This truly meant that she had began to love Ryan and his family.
" Mama! Faith! I was not trying to insult them because of the culture that they follow in their own town. Now Ryan and Nelly are angry with me and I am sure that they do not want me anymore" said Ruth as tears welled down her eyes.
" That is where you are mistaken Ruth. I might had been angry because of what you had said but I am not angry anymore. It's not really good to tease somebody's else's culture. We just love you too much and that is the main reason why we can't be angry at you for too much. How can we leave such kind of a lady whom everybody praises in Olam town? How can we leave such a prestigious family? We are family and family as much as they get angry at each other, they usually know how to forgive . Isn't that right Ryan?" Asked Nelly as she held Ryan's arms.
" That is absolutely right Nelly" said Ryan smiling.
Ruth immediately wiped her tears and went towards Ryan and Nelly.
" If that is the case, then I suggest that we should do everything in order to bring Vivian back into this house from Mambo cell. Is she not part of our family? She might had participated in the death of my grandma which I will never forgive her but since you both have forgiven me even after making a mockery at about your culture, why then can't I forgive her ten percent for having participated in the death of my grandma?" Asked Ruth smiling.
" No! We are not going to help Vivian to get out of Mambo cell. Your mockery of our culture and her participation in grandma's death are two different things. She will have to pay for it" said Ryan.
" But a sin is a sin Ryan" said Ruth in a pellucid.
" A sin is a sin but not when it involves murder" said Ryan who left.
Ruth wanted to follow Ryan but Nelly stopped her by holding her harm and shooking her head warning Ruth not to leave.
