Chapter 57

I was going through Josh's stuff when I was still a human. I found a plant in his bag. It looked weird to me to see a plant in a bag. "Hey Josh," I said, calling for his attention. "What are you using this plant for?" I asked.

"Don’t touch that," he said, getting off of his bed and walking up to me. He then pulled out another plant, "This is called a wolf bane. I'm always with it because it's a weakness to the vampires," he said, then pulled out another plant, "This is called a wolf bane."’s used to chase off the werewolves and can also kill them, "he explained.

I don’t really know what to do. I just have to cook up a lie and serve it to them. I’m only safe if they consume it. "Mr. Fred is a pervert," I revealed, "You must be kidding," Josh exclaimed.

I guess with that comment, he’s already buying it. "When I was under the bed, I discovered a lot of used tissue papers that smelled like sperm," I revealed."Holy shit," Jack said, laughing his ass out.

Since they were enjoying it, I kept on adding, not thinking Josh would be curious about why I had stayed so long in the house. "I was only hearing her moan," I said, "She’s can be a dirty slut," Josh chuckled, "Yeah, she moaned so hard," I added.

Josh suddenly pulled out the photos of evidence Jack had taken and showed us something we hadn't noticed: a horn."Are you serious, so it was a cow bone?" I yelled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't notice that," Jack said, "Josh, you noticed that and you didn't say anything," he added, "I wanted to know why he's used to bringing ladies to his house," he replied, "what a smart Mr. Fred." I smiled.

I was in Miss Lora's secret library going through some books to find out about Nicholas. Before I go back there, if I find out he’s a bad vampire, I have to make sure he doesn’t come out of the prison where Raphael had kept him.

I had gone through a lot of books, but none of them contained anything related to what I was looking for, so I rested my head on the table, contemplating another way to find out about him. Daniel had not appeared in ages.

I am always curious about what he has been up to. I can’t even trust him anymore. I remember the werewolf Josh was threatening, saying he saw him kill the wolf that attacked me. I guess he must have compelled me to forget what happened that day. Before he brought me home, I asked Lydia if she could break the compulsion. I wonder what he’s hiding from me.

I took my head off the table when I remembered that Connor might know or have heard about Nikolas. I stood up from the chair and ran outside the house, stood beside my motorcycle and reached out for my keys in my breast pocket.

I hopped on it, using my legs to hold the motorcycle from falling, then I put my helmet on my head and dropped down the shield. I inserted the key into the motorcycle and started the engine. I took my legs off the floor and zoomed off to go and get Ellie.
