The encounter

She was wearing a tiara while the king was big and huge. He was wearing a crown.

His gaze was drawn to Lucinda and Ralph, and he wrinkled his brow.

Ralph was gaiting as he was scared to talk to the king because he was huge and unique compared to the other centaurs.

Apedes stood in front of him and bowed his head.

"Your highness, this is the strange creature I was telling you about." He said, and the king turned to Lucinda and Ralph. Lucinda gulped as she saw him. She was scared he would want to kill them or something because he was looking serious.

"What is your name? What kind of creature are you?" he asked, staring at Ralph.

"We are humans." Ralph said

"Humans, what is human?" he asked bluntly.

"That is what we are known as." Ralph replied.

"Never heard of that." The king stated.

Ralph held Lucinda’s hand.

"We will take our leave now." Ralph said he was trying to go with Lucinda and two soldiers blocked them.

"You can’t go until our king says so." One of them said. Ralph gulped.

"But he had already seen us, and he had nothing to tell us." Ralph replied.

"Take them to the room." The king gave the order, and they escorted Lucinda and Ralph away.

The king and Apedes stand together looking at each other.

"My princess, I think you should excuse us." Apedes said, looking at the princess.

"What do you guys have to say that I can’t be here." She said, and the king turned to look at her.

" Kiros, darling, I think you should leave us alone." He stated unequivocally

She wanted to say something, so she sighed and walked away.

"And you too." Apedes said, looking at the soldiers, that they quickly ran out of the palace and locked the door.

Apedes turned to the king and began to look around.

Kiros is leaning against the wall, eavesdropping on them.

"So what do you think we should do to those people? Humans are what do they call themselves." Apedes said.

"I think we should kill them or something, they are strange creatures. they are nothing like us, they don’t belong here." He said coldly.

"I also think they are a threat to our people, they might be here for our gold." Apedes suggested

"So what do you think we should do? Keep them in our prison until we decide what to do with them." The king remarked.

"I think so, and we have stopped getting attacked by those beasts. Maybe they are here for something." Apedes said.

"Throw them in the dungeon; just looking at them, their legs and all, creeps me out."The king remarked, and Kiros gasped.

"Who is there?" Apedes asked and drew out a pocket knife, walking close to the wall where Kiros was standing.

She quickly ran away from the wall, and he walked there and saw no one.

"That was strange." He whispered.

"Go and put them in the dungeon before they try to kill us."
