Trying to escape

"Go and put them in the dungeon before they try to kill us." The king suggested, and Apedes started walking outside the castle to tell the soldiers to help him detain Ralph and Lucinda.

Ralph stood in the room looking at Lucinda as she sat on the bed.

"This is your fault, because of you, we are stuck in this castle, I know coming here wasn’t a good idea." He remarked.

"You can’t blame me. I was hungry and couldn’t think straight at that time." She whined.

"Now look where we are? I have a strange feeling that they are up to no good." Ralph added.

"So what do you suggest we do? Look for a way out of here." Lucinda said.

"Yes, we should try to get out of here," he added, and opened the door when he saw Apedes and soldiers heading their way. He shut the door immediately and turned to Lucinda.

"What the matter?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Apedes is coming with soldiers, I think they are up to no good." He added.

"How sure are you?" she asked.

"Very sure." He said and walked to the window of the room. He opened the window and looked down. There was only one building down before they hit the ground.

"Are you thinking we should jump out the window?" Lucinda asked, standing behind him.

"Yes, like we have a choice." He said and dragged her closer to him as Apedes started hitting the door continuously.

Lucinda looked outside the window as Ralph put his two hands on her waist.

"Here goes nothing." He said and lifted her off the ground.  Lucinda close her eyes and open it, she stared at him.

"Ralph, do you think it is a good idea for me to go first?" she asked.

"Yes, I can’t afford them to catch the two of us, we must be one step ahead." He commented, and she smirked.

"Alright." Lucinda whined and he let go of her. She jumped out the window and landed in the body of a centaur.

"Get off me!!" he yelled, and Lucinda landed on the floor and looked up at the window.

Apedes started hitting the door as Ralph looked back. He jumped off the window, just as Apedes and the soldier burst into the room. Apedes stood in the window and looked down as Ralph and Lucinda started running towards the gate.

"Catch them!!" Apedes commanded, running out of the room with the soldiers.

Ralph and Lucinda started running through the kingdom, hitting every centaur that came their way. Heading to the gate, they arrived at the gate and halted, looking at the soldiers who were stationed at the gate.

"Open the gate for us." Ralph said, looking at one of the soldiers. Lucinda turned back and sighted Apedes and the soldiers running towards them. They were very fast because they had a horse leg.  Lucinda was terrified because of the expression Apedes had on his face.

The soldier started opening the gate.
