"Close the gate!!" Apedes yelled. As Ralph was waiting for the gate to open, the soldier closed it back immediately. Ralph wanted to attack the soldier when he showed him a knife. Ralph pulled back and held Lucinda. When Apedes and the other soldier approached them,
The soldiers pointed their arrows at their backs, and Ralph and Lucinda shuddered and walked back slowly.
"You think you can run?" Apedes remarked.
"Why are you preventing us from living here? What have we done to you?" Lucinda inquired.
"I can’t just let you go that easily. you guys are rare creatures that we don’t see that often, so our king decided to keep both of you." He said, and Ralph screwed up his face.
"What do you mean by keeping both of us?" Ralph inquired.
"I don’t have time to explain myself, take them to the dungeon." Apedes commanded, and they started leading Ralph and Lucinda into the kingdom with all the centaurs staring at them.
Apedes smile evilly looking at them, and Kiros and her handmaid stood in front of the castle looking at the soldiers as they lead Ralph and Lucinda to the dungeon.
"Your majesty, what do you think Apedes is doing, by not allowing those creatures to leave this kingdom for good?" her handmaid inquired.
"I don’t know, but he has something up his sleeves, I don’t know why he would like to hold those creatures captive. I will get to the bottom of this." Kiros said. Glaring at Apedes.
They took Ralph and Lucinda to the dungeon and threw them inside before locking the door.
Ralph’s POV
A grand fallen tower in a shadowy swamp marks the entrance to this dungeon. Beyond the fallen tower lies a narrow, putrid room. It's covered in bat droppings, large bones, and puddles of water. The light allows me to see rows of statues, tattered and maimed by time itself. Further ahead, there is a single path.
Its twisted trail leads past countless other pathways, and soon I enter a ghostly area. It's packed with boxes full of runes and magical equipment, as well as skeletons. What happened in this place? i carefully continue onward, deeper into the dungeon's shadows. I pass various different rooms and countless passages. They all look so similar. This whole place is a maze. I eventually make it to what is likely the final room. A mysterious wooden door blocks our path. Various odd symbols are all over it, somehow untouched by time and the elements. I stepped closer to inspect it and.. wait.. what was that sound?
I had a feeling we couldn’t trust that faun, now look where we are. Why would they like to keep me and Lucinda here as captives? What is he up to, I thought he was my friend, I can’t believe I thought I had made a friend. Things were just so messed up, Lucinda sat on the floor and hugged herself with her hand.
She is the reason we are here in the first place, but I won’t blame her.
