"So where is he?" Ralph asked.
"He is in his room putting on his clothes, he will come and see you in no time." He assured.
"Alright, in the main time, can you give us a place to rest?" Ralph inquired.
"Sure." Apedes said and waved his hand, and two Centaurides came and led them to a room in the palace, where they both settled down in the bed. Lucinda fell on the bed, looking at the ceiling.
"I am so sleepy." She muttered, closing her eyes. And Ralph sat on the bed and stared at her. He removed a strand of her hair from her face and smiled at her.
"We are in a strange land, a strange palace and a strange room, and you want to sleep?" he asked softly.
"It's not like I have a choice, I can’t fight with nature." She replied.
"I will have to sleep beside you then." He remarks.
"Eww gross, go and sleep on the couch." She says she pushed him off the bed.
"So I am gross, a handsome man like me." He said.
"Continue flattering yourself, go and sleep on the couch." She said and he frowned and walked to the couch, where he lay on the couch and turned to the other side. and drifted to sleep.
Hours later.
It was night.
Lucinda was sleeping peacefully on the bed when she started hearing a knock on the door.
"Who could that be?" She said and stood up from the bed. Immediately, she put on her heels and walked to the door to see who was knocking. She put her eyes on the spy hole and found out that it was Apedes on the door.
She sighed and opened the door.
"You are awake, you need to come with me, the king wants to see you." He informed.
And Lucinda looked back into the room at Ralph, who was still sleeping.
"Give me a sec," she said, and walked into the room.
"Look at who was saying I wanted to sleep in a strange room, is sleeping like a baby." She remarked and started tapping him on the shoulder. His eyebrows rose and fell and he opened his eyes and stared at her.
"What is your problem?" he asked rudely.
"Apedes is here, he said the king wants to see us." She said and he stood up from the couch immediately and cleaned his eyes with the back of his palm.
"Let’s go." he said, putting his legs in his shoes, and Lucinda bent him to her level and arranged his hair with her hand.
He smiled widely at her.
"Thanks." He beamed, and Apedes stared weirdly at them.
"Didn’t you say he isn’t your boyfriend?" he asked, staring at Lucinda and her face flushed.
"He is my boss." she replied.
"Anyway, come with me." He said, and they both followed him to the living room.
They saw a centaur standing in the middle of the living room with a beautiful centaurides by his side.
