Different houses 2

"You just went on a business trip, and I went to your working place, the employees didn’t tell me that, they just told me that they hadn’t seen you." She stated.

"I didn’t tell them, only me and my assistant know." Lucinda replied.

"Anyway, I am glad you are back, I went to the police to report a missing person case and they told me they didn’t have a chance to take on a case because they were busy working on another one." She said.

"Don’t mind the police; they are so heartless."  Lucinda said, drinking water.

"I don’t blame them, I heard one of their employees died." She stated.

"I heard that do, so mum, which day of the week is it?" Lucinda asked, standing by the chair.

"It’s Sunday, why do you ask?" she asked.

"I don’t know, I just came back from China and I thought things would be different here." Lucinda stated.

"No it’s not, you can’t go and have your bubble bath I made for you." She said.

"Did you know I was coming?" Lucinda asked.

"No, I just made it, when i finish cooking." She replied.

"No wonder you took a lot of time in the kitchen." Lucinda said and started walking up the stairs. She didn’t know which room was Ralph’s. She remembered she was in Ralph’s house the other time. She retraced her steps and opened the door. The room was tidy and the bed was well arranged. Lucinda quickly shot the door and jumped on the bed.

"So comfortable and so soft." She beamed, waving her hand on the bed.

Mrs Sliver knocked on the door.

"Don’t forget to take your bath." She stated.

"Alright mum, I will." Lucinda replied.

"How can I take my bath, when I am not Ralph? Just thinking of it freaks me out, I will have to see his body and everything." She said, using her hand to cover her face. And she remembered that Ralph would also see her body.

"Ahhh!!" she yelled, at the top of her lungs.

"What is it, honey?" Mrs Sliver asked from outside the room.

"His house is not soundproof." She whined and screwed up her face.

"Nothing, I just nearly fall, that’s all." Lucinda replied.

"Okay, be careful." She said and walked away.

"Wow, Lucinda, you have become a good liar." Lucinda whined and tucked herself in bed.

Ralph walked into the house and saw Medusa on the bed. Medusa was pressing her phone when her eyes drifted to Ralph.

She quickly got up from the bed and ran to him.

"Where are you coming from?" she asked and grabbed and twisted his ear, leading him to the bed.

"Arrgh, let me go." Ralph grunted in pain and Medusa tosses him to the bed.

"Where did you go for three days straight?" she asked, standing akimbo. Ralph didn’t know what was happening. He just looked down and held his ear.

"So this is what Lucinda is going through." He muttered to himself.
