"but why so soon though?" Javier asked running his hands through his hair in frustration.
"I don't really know why but I think there is something triggering it"
"This is bad, this is bad, this is bad" Javier said repeatedly as he paced around the house.
"You need to really come down" She paused as she turned to look at Hattie "and where did you say you found this girl again?"
"She is a psychologist, any problem? Javier asked her, he looked at his sister who was staring intently at Hattie.
"I just feel there is something off about this girl and I can't seem to put my finger on it"
"How do you mean?"
The moment I looked at her I could feel a strange energy around her and I only felt that same energy for one person. It's really strange though"
"Can you for once Stop overthinking things and help me get answers of why my season has come so soon?"
"Well I can't help you. Its strange to me also. A lashedta's season is always a bad thing. it's good that you thought about bringing her here as soon as you noticed the signs"
"But why is it coming so soon, now that I need to protect Hattie?"
"Well I actually think it's a good idea that It came now, that way, you would be able to face Andrew and Andrew is no match for a lashedta in season so I think he would back away if he finds out about this"
"But what if he doesn't?"
"Oh come on, Andrew isn't that stupid. Trust me, he won't dare"
Javier turned to look at hattie who was sitting nervously in the living room. She looked too fragile. He didn't like her that way. He knew it would be very easy for Andrew to get a hold off her. She really needed to toughen up and be able to protect herself even without him or Bella being around. A human like her is no match for a lashedta but there were some tricks he could teach her that could be very helpful. That would be later though, staying close to her was dangerous.
"Bella I need to go now" he said shakily as he felt the little migraine in his head.
"Yeah, you really need to go. Don't worry, it would be over before you know it. It could take probably a week or so" Bella said.
Javier breathed in sharply as he exited.
Hattie sat there nervous as she looked at Javier walking towards the door, he didn't even spare her a glance. She had been sitted there for over 5minutes staring at the siblings who were talking about 'God knows what'. Javier looked really worried while Bella on the other hand looked rather calm. She couldn't make out what they were saying but she had a feeling that they were talking about her, as Javier kept looking at her worriedly. With the way Javier left without even looking at her, she knew something was definitely wrong. She signed deeply as she looked at Bella who was standing in front of her, hands akimbo.
" is anything the problem? She asked, she couldn't help but ask, the atmosphere was so tensed.
"No everything is fine You must be very tired, I'm sure Javier didn't let you sleep long. Come let me show you to your room"
"What about my stuff?"
"I will get them for you, you just need to get some rest, you look really tired"
"Yeah you're right, I slept only for a few hours and I really do need to sleep right now"
Bella beckoned, signalling her to follow her. Hattie trailed Bella from behind. She wondered whether Bella knew of the guy that was trying to kill her. Javier must have definitely told her.
"Did Javier perhaps tell you about the person that was trying to kill me" she couldn't help but ask.
"Yes he did but you don't have anything to worry about I can keep you safe just as much as Javier could, so just take your mind off that" Bella replied
Hattie loved the way Bella talked Without Fear. The way she walked, the way she kept her head up high and the way she Squared her shoulder in an elegant way. Bella looked really intimidating as though no one could harm her. She looked strong too. Hattie wished she portrayed one of those characteristics. You couldn't blame her for the fear she felt inside though. She had seen a lot of things and watched people she loved, die in her arms. She remembered how she used to be this Fearless girl that cared less about anybody, but life changed her. Life changed her by taking the people she loved most. She had lived in fear ever since and she became enclosed in her own space. She remembered how depressed she was after her mother's death. That was the worst feeling ever. Her mother was long gone but she still felt that constant ache in her heart.
She trailed behind Bella as she anticipated seeing her new room. Bella's brown hair cascaded down her shoulders. Hattie couldn't help but feel astonished by the striking resemblance between the two siblings. They look so much alike ranging from their hair to the shape of their face. Bella looked much older than Javier but she was definetly the female version of Javier. Hattie awed at her beauty, Looks definitely ran through their family's blood.
They stopped in front of a door as Bella proceeded in opening the door, They both entered the room as Hattie looked around the room. It was quite big for just one person. She wondered how she was going to stay in this big room all alone. Hattie in her nature liked small and moderate things. Well she had to admit that the room looked lovely. She loved the pink colours used on the room walls. Pink wasn't one of her favourite colours but it sure did look well in this room. The room had a huge mirror stand by the side. The furnitures in the room looked quite polished and cleaned, it was almost as if they had been cleaned not too long ago. The room also had a closet made with Brown polished wood with silver accessories on it. The room looked quite exclusive and she loved it. It felt like it was a little world on it's own.
"well this is your new room, this is where you'll be staying for now until all this is been sorted out. This isn't much but I hope you love it"
"Wow I really love this it's actually nice. But I feel like I'm giving the both of you a hard time. I don't enjoy being a burden to anybody" Hattie sighed
"Oh come on, you are most definitely welcome here. Javier really wants to keep you safe and I can't say no to him"
"Ok thanks a lot, I really hope Javier is doing ok, he really looked 'not himself' and I can't help but worry"
"You don't have to worry, he is just going through a phase and he will come over it very soon, just try and make yourself comfortable and try getting some sleep also. It's late" Bella said and Hattie nodded.
Hattie's watched Bella walking to the door. Bella suddenly stopped as she turned to look Hattie. The confused look she had on earlier when she first saw Hattie came back. She squinted her eyes in confusion as she walked back to where Hattie was standing. She placed her hands on her hips as she continued staring at Hattie.
" where are you from?"
"I'm from San Francisco, any problem"
"No no no no problem I was just asking"
Hattie knew that Bella obviously asked this question for a reason but she didn't bother asking why. Bella walked out of the room still having that confused look on her face. Hattie yawned tiredly as she ran her hands Across the smooth fabric on the bed. She carefully tugged on the duvet as she slipped into the bed. She was finally on the bed as she was slowly closing her eyes to sleep. She groaned in frustration, she had forgotten to Flick off the light. She removed the duvet from her body as she came down from the bed. She walked to where the light switch was and was about to turn it off when her eyes caught something in the toilet. She walked to toilet whose door was wide open. Her mind wasn't playing trick on her. This were definitely bloodstains her heart skipped a Beat as she looked at the small splash of blood on the wall.
'Whose blood was it and why was it in her the bathroom of all places' she asked herself inwardly.

Javier held his right arm as he groaned in pain. His clothes were drenched in sweat, his hair was wet from it also. He let out a shaky breath as he felt pain in his right arm. He screamed at the top of his voice as he felt his bones pain twisting. It wouldn't take long before his beast comes out. The Pains of Being a lashedta. The voices in his head was bearable, the pain that coursed through his body was excruciating. He closed his eyes, tightly shut as he tried to bear the pain he was feeling inwards. His legs became shaky as he fell to the ground. He couldn't fight it any longer he had to accept it, it was stronger than him anyways.
This was called the season of the lashedta. The lashedta originated long ago, Ancient demons who were looking for human bodies to dwell on. This demons took possession of man as their host. They became part of man and man became part of them. As those humans who were possessed by them began to procreate, they began to pass this demons over to their children creating a strong line of Lashedta. In the 18th century, the lashedtas became uncontrollable and Evil as they kept on killing people and committing various evil deeds. A decree was passed that any lashedta that was born should be killed.
The witches in those times, took it upon themselves to end it, as they were also victim of the atrocities that the lashedta had commited. They finally succeeded in wiping out the entire generation of lashedta and they were believed to be extinct. But the Demons in their nature, couldn't be killed so they were sent back to where they came from. This demons came back again and devised a new means of possessing humans as soon as they were born or even while in the womb. Javier and Bella where the likes of them.
It takes a while before some people starts noticing the difference, probably after 10 years or more while some people noticed it from a very tender age. This people were known as lashedta and sadly, Javier was one of them.
A lashedta season was when the demon in the host surfaces after being surpressed for a long time. This only happened once in a while. This can cause the lashedta to be very deadly and loose control of their original self as the demon takes full control. The lashedta tends to kill more during season.
Every single lashedta experienced this but Javier's case was always different. He was always more violent and the voices in his head made things worse. Once he sense his season approaching he always requested to be chained because of how violent he became. He didn't have the time to do that, as he was trying to get Hattie to his sister's house.
"Arggggggh" he let out a loud groaned as he finally lost control of himself, falling to the floor as result of the strong force that came upon him.
The lashedta lifted up his head as a smile printed on his face. He got up slowly with a little smirk on his face. He felt strong as the energy was now fully in him. He let out a small chuckle as he walked towards the door
"Who would be my prey" the lashedta spoke

Fay tilted to the other side as her body hurted as a result of laying down on the hard table. She hated the way her body brushed against the rough table. She had no choice, at least it was better than staying on the street, not having where to stay. She was really glad when her boss told her that she could sleep at the restaurant when he found out that she had no place to go. She groaned as she tilted to her side hoping to find a comfortable spot. Hardly. She sat up as she couldn't get any sleep, she stretched her hands out, in attempt to sooth the ache she felt in her back. She was still sitted on her supposed bed when she heard the resturant door being opened, that was strange, she had made sure to shut it before she fell asleep. She panicked in the darkness as she wondered who it could be.
"Hello?" She whispered, she was frozen on the spot, she was too scared to even turn on the light. She waited there, sitting on the table for a response. She prayed inwardly that it was her boss, but what could he be doing here by this time of the night. She knew it wasn't her boss, it had to be an intruder or probably even a thief. She felt something cold make contact with her back, she turned around and couldn't find anybody. She stood up from where she was sitted as she tried making her way out of the kitchen door to the resturant, it was so dark in there that she tripped on another table. She fell over as she held her legs in pain. It had forcefully hit against the table she had fallen over. She felt something rush past her along with that cool air she felt before. Her body quivered, her mouth trembled as she looked around the thick darkness in fear.
"You have no idea how much I have been looking for you, fay" A voice said within the darkness, the voice wasn't familiar but how did this person know her name.
"Who are you and what do you want from me" her lips trembled as she spoke.
"I've always hated your smile, that happy look you had in your eyes, it disgusted me so much."
"Please who are you?" A whimp escaped from her mouth. She was already crying as a result of fear.
"You don't need to know, my darling Fay"
"Please don't hurt me" she begged but she was replied with total silence. She sat on the floor using her hands to cover her mouth trying not to make a sound. It was barely working because her breathing was too loud. After about 5 minutes of total silence, she got up from where was seated and started heading for the door. She was about to reach for the door knob when a strong force pulled her and she landed roughly with her back hitting against the edge of the table. She groaned in pain as she couldn't supress it. She felt a slight touch on her hair, she knew this intruder was close to her as she could inhale his manly scent. She gulped as she awaited for the worse to happen.
