"Where is the pendant?" Andrew asked Hattie
"I don't have it" Hattie glared at him causing Andrew to slap her across the face causing her lips to tear slightly. She winced in pain, her lips was already bleeding as a result of the force that Andrew used.
"You seem tough, let's see how long it will take for you to crack" he said slowly carresing her hair with a smile on his face
"You can't get anything from me" she said still standing her ground
"We'll see about that" Andrew smirked
"I'll be back" he walked out of the room, leaving Hattie in the ever dark room. Once again, Hattie tried to free herself from where she was tied up but seemed Javier did a good job in tightening the shackels that held her captive. She tried effortlessly, shaking the iron vigorously but it only seemed like she was just hurting herself and it was almost impossible to do. She groaned in fustration.
Andrew returned later with the the the 'eyes blinding flash light' pointing it directly it on her eyes lid, causing her to squint as she tried to make out what he was holding. He removed theflash light from her face and slowly walked behind her with his foot steps echoing round the room. Those footsteps caused shiver run down her spine. She suddenly felt something cold against her skin. She gulped. Andrew slowly caressed her skin with the knife from her neckline down to her her breastline. Beads of sweat gathered on her forehead as she swallowed hard. He used the tip of the knife to slit the fabric that held her chest line cover, exposing a little portion of her bra. A whimp escaped from her lips. She knew that she was done for. He retreated the knife as he slowly walked towards her front. He took the knife up and Hattie's heart sunk again at the sight of the knife. He brought it close to her slightly exposed thigh
"Don't you dare" she spat glaring furiously at Andrew
"Again you can't tell me what to do"
"If you try anything, Javier would have your head" she said but realisation suddenly hit her that they were no longer in the picture now she looked stupid
"I see that you are still in love with Javier, how adorable" he smiled
"Let's get this out of this disturbance out of the way. It is really hot in here" he smirked pointing the knife on her cloth in a circular motion
"Andrew no" she cried but it was too late, he had already ripped part of her dress like it was nothing. She stared at him in disgust. She hated the look in his eyes as he looked at her almost naked body
"So beautiful" he said slowly. He lifted the knife in his hand to her face.
"Are you ready to talk?"
"I don't have anything to say" she shot at him
"Well, allow me to demonstrate. First let's get this heated up" he said, reaching for his pocket, bringing out a lighter from his pocket with a grin on his face. He placed knife over the lighter that had little flame on it. It took a while to get the knife heated up because the flame the lighter emitted was too small compared to the surface area of the knife. About 5 minutes later, the knife came out a lighter shade of red after being heated for that long and Hattie could tell that it was really hot. Beads of sweat gathered on her forehead as she gulped. Her hands where shaky, her lips trembled, she felt hot as though she couldn't breath properly. Andrew finally switched off the lighter and held the red hot knife in his hands, flipping it around, staring at it with amazement written all over his face
"So beautiful" the remark escaped from his lips. He brought the knife to her thigh, hovering around with it as if trying to tease her. She just sat there with her heart on her throat, hoping that a miracle would happen. He brought the knife close to where her scar was and landed it there, twisting the knife, to draw blood. Hattie cried out in pain. She shut her eyes tightly as she tried to fight the excruciating pain that he was inflicting on her. She moved her head backward, gritting her teeth as the pain became almost unbearable.
Andrew slowly withdrew the knife from her skin as he watched her groan in pain. The satisfaction of his victim In pain was one of the greatest feeling ever.
"Now let's start all over. Where is the pendant?"
"You lunatic!" she said and spat on his face in anger. That was the only thing she could do, judging from how she was tightly held captive
Andrew snapped his head to the other side, cleaning off the saliva that was on his face. He looked at her and she knew that she was done for. He had anger written on his face. She gulped. What has she done?. She had only made things worse for herself. She didn't know if her system would be able to take another hot knife session.
He slowly got up from where he was and slap her hard across the face continuously. The slaps slowly graduated into punches. He roared in anger, inflicting pain on her. He finally retreated and she coughed out, trying to catch her breath. She was bleeding all over. Her nose, her mouth, everywhere had blood on it. The ribbon she had earlier used to keep her hair together came lose and her hair was all over Her face, mixed with sweat and blood adding to her problem. She winced in pain as she felt a sudden migraine. The pain she felt all over Her body was excruciating. Ranging from the Injury he inflicted on her leg to the pain she felt on her head as a result of his aggression
"You know you shouldn't test me" he snapped at her, aggressively holding her chin as he talked to her in a inch distance, scrolling at her
"Where is the pendant" he roared angrily on her face
"I told you, I don't have it" Hattie wasn't stupid, she knew that if she handed the pendant, he would kill her and probably kill her sister too. She also knew that the pendant was powerful and if it falls into the wrong hand like that of Lagatha and Andrew, then they are all doomed
Andrew stared at her clearly frustrated at her stubbornness. Javier was already rubbing off on her. But he was going to break her. He would find that pendant at all cost

Daphne stood in front of Hattie's apartment with fustration clearly written on her face. She was going to scold the leaving hell out of Hattie for making her come all the way here to drag her out of the house. They had plans today, to have fun. Daphne had suggested it because Hattie looked too depressed so she thought, going out often would cheer her up and she might most likely forget about Javier
She walked over to the front door. It was opened but she noticed that the door looked bad as though it was forced open. The lock was already damaged and her heart sunk. What the hell happened here?. She rushed inside the house and the scene wasn't promising one bit. There was a bowl of cereal on the dining table. She couldn't make out what cereal because it has already gone bad. Her legs brushed against a spoon that was on the floor. She bent down to pick it along side the chair that was on the floor too.
What in the heaven's name happened in here?. Daphne thought
"hattie!" She called and prayed to get a response.
"Hattie?" She called out again when her first call didn't get a response. She made her way to Hattie room and it was empty too
"Hattie" She called out again, opening the bathroom door to check if she was in there.
Where could she have gone. Or was she taken? Daphne immediately brushed the thought off, maybe she just stepped out to grab something. Daphne reached for her phone in her hand bag and dialed her number. She held the phone to her ears but lo and behold, Hattie's phone was just on her mirror stand. She did not take it to whatever she went to. Daphne groaned in fustration. How could she reach Hattie now when she wasn't with her phone. She feared the worse. She picked up the phone from the stand and in this process, her eye caught Hattie's necklace lying carelessly on the table. Now Daphne knew that something was definetrly something wrong. Her assumptions could be right. What if Hattie was really taken. Hattie really valued this necklace and she wore it almost every where she went. It was a gift from her mother and she loved her mother too dearly. She cherished the necklace to the extent that whenever Daphne asked of it, she would decline without giving it a second thought. Her leaving the necklace behind was really confusing. There was no way Daphne could let this slide. She had to inform the police because she didn't like how the situation was going. She didn't want to make any assumption but prevention was always better than cure. She thought of waiting but she thought against it immediately. What if something happens to Hattie while she is still waiting, She needed to do something at least and Informing the police wouldn't be a bad idea

"And when last did you speak with her" the man in front of her asked with his eyes boring holes into her. His blonde hair appeared messy, his beard was unkempt. To be honest Daphne felt a little disgusted by the man but that was not what she needed to worry about, She just needed to make sure that her friend was safe
"yesterday, we were supposed to hang out today but she didn't show up so I went over to her house and couldn't find her"
"You didn't see her at her house and you assumed that she is missing?" he squinted his eyes as be stared at her in confusion
"I just have a bad feeling about this whole thing so I decided to tell the police"
"Is there something that you are not telling me?"
"I have told you every detail that I dont know of?"
"Did you try calling g her?"
"Well" Daphne rummaged thorough her bad and brought out Hattie's phone
"Technically she left her phone at her house" Daphne said wiggling the phone around
"May I look at that for a second" the police officer demanded for the phone
"Sure" she handed the phone to him
Hattie didn't have a password so going through her phone was not hard. She was still leaving in Westin's shell. While they were dating, he gave her a strict order of not putting any locks in her phone so that he would know if she was cheating or not. Daphne found this rather absurd beacuse his phone was tightly locked and she had a feeling that he was cheating. Hattie told her everything that she needed to know about Westin even without her meeting him, she knew a lot
"It says here that you were the last person she called".
"Yes we were supposed to hang out today so we talked on phone yesterday"
"Hmmm interesting" the police officer said sounding less convinced
"We would have to wait for 48 hours before we begin to search. She might not even be missing. It could be that she just wanted to spend sometime away from home. We have had cases like that"
"Then why didn't she bloody take her phone" She groaned in fustration
"I don't know about that. It could be that she didn't want to be disturbed"
"I just pray she turns up" Daphne said in fustration
"She might. But if she doesn't than we would begin our search for her"
"Thank you so much"
"Here" the police officer handed Hattie phone over to her. She took it and left the building
She was greeted by the fresh air outside as it hit her soft skin. The reason she was scared was because Hattie was always on about Javier and how he protected her so Daphne thought that since they were no longer together, the thing he protected her from had finally caught up with her. She needed to inform Javier, hopefully he could do something. She searched her bag and brought out Hattie' s phone again. She hadn't met Javier so there was she would have Javier number. She dialed his number using Hattie's phone and he answered on the 2nd ring
"Hattie?" The voice from the other end sounded unsure
"No it daphne" she blurted out
"Oh" he sounded too disappointed
"Am I speaking with Javier?"
"Yes you are. What are you doing with Hattie's phone?"
"Hattie is missing"
"What do you mean" he snapped in a worried filled voice
"She wasn't at her house when I went there this evening"
"Have you tried calling her. Oh her phone is with you so she probably left" Javier said on realisation
"How are you sure she was kidnapped?" Javier asked because there was no way he wouldn't sense her in danger so he wondered if she was really kidnapped in the first place
"The scene of the house was too disturbing and I kept on having a bad feeling. My instincts never lies to me"
" Where are you right now?"
"Am at heel police station"
"You told the police?"
"Yea I have to. Do you have a problem with the police to? I guess Hattie is rubbing off on you"
" You know what, I'll be there in 10 minutes" he said and hung up
Daphne wondered why Hattie would break up with such a caring personality like Javier's but she was willing to stay with Westin who abused her continuously. Javier sounded really worried on the phone and Daphne could tell that he cared so much about her. Poor guy. Hattie left him for 'God knows why'
Daphne walked to her car and sat inside. Her face looked calm but her mind was all over the place in worry. Why would Hattie pull up a stunt like this?. Disappearing without at least taking her phone. How absurd. She thought of telling Peter but she immediately thought against it. She wasn't really sure of what happened together so raising an alarm would be a wrong move. She just prayed that Hattie would show up before the police even tried to look for her
