Chapter 40

"You Have Hattie, don't you?" Lawson blurted out immediately the glass of wine left his lips. Andrew looked at him, flustered by his discovery

"You didn't think I would find out?" Lawson added.

"How did you know?"

"Well, you did mention that you were gonna take her and plus she was declared missing in the news yesterday night" he stated and Andrew smirked

"Did you kill her yet?"

"Of course not"

"Does she have the pendant?"

"She could, she might not or she might just be proving stubborn"

"Will you hand her over to Lagatha?"

"Of course not. I plan on marrying her"

"What the. Are you crazy. Do you realise, she is a hyran's  offspring"

"I Don't care about that"

"Why do you even want to get married to her. I thought the original plan was to teach her a lesson then kill her afterwards"

"I need to make Javier pay for always turning me down. Marrying Hattie will show Javier that I can always get what I want"

"And you think Javier would care about it, just because you got married to her. I think he loves her"

"That is why I would make it a wedding that would be bonded by mephistopheles. Then there would be no way Javier would be able to get Hattie again"

"I know Javier and he isn't scared of anything, including death. He would still try and take Hattie from you not minding the consequence"

"I don't care about that"

"So you want to marry Hattie just to prove a point to Javier?"

"Exactly"

"You are sick."

"I disconnected their feeling so that Javier won't be able to track Hattie also"

"So Javier is in love with Hattie?"

"Yes he is"

"How is that even possible?"

"You will have to ask Javier your self"

"Does mother still have Fay?"

"Yes she does"

"Poor girl" Lawson let out a mocking chuckle

"I heard mother threatened Javier to terminate the contract with Harry"

"And Javier agreed?" Lawson asked knowing fully well that Javier is not moved by threats

"He did not, despite the fact that she threatened to kill Anne"

"Am not suprised. Javier's heart is made of stone. One can't scare him easily"

"What do you think he might be planning?" Andrew asked

"Well I wouldn't know"

"Javier won't just refuse to help his mother if he didn't have something up his sleeve"

"Javier has always been trickish. Reading him has always been impossible, So forget about knowing what is under his sleeve"

"If you eventually marry Hattie, what do you think would happen next?"

"Nothing, we would be bonded forever"

"You are so crazy"

"As crazy as I need to be"

Anne stood by the kitchen cabinet, stiring her already done sauce. She wiped the heat from her fore head with the back of her hands and proceeded in stiring. The heat  that the kitched omitted was  almost unbearable, causing her skin to tingle.  She was still on about the sauce when she felt something, the heat stopped and she felt a slight wind on her back. It was strange, It was almost as if someone placed a wind mill at her back. The wind was so strong that even her hair, answered to it. When she turned around, she found nothing. She turned back to the cabinet and continued stiring her sauce, in order to get the flavour from the buttom of the pot and circulated through out. She felt the cold sensation again. What baffled her was how strong the sensation was. She left the kitchen because she felt uncomfortable as a result the adjustment of the temperature in the kitchen. How wierd it felt. She sat on the dinning table for a while. She had a norm of eating about few minutes after cooking. She didn't like the idea of eating immediately after cooking. It was wierd but that was how she was and she was a little bit OCD, so she couldn't help it

She sat on the dinning seat and brought out her phone. She was still on her phone when she felt the cold sensation again. She froze on the spot, she sat still waiting for another feeling. She felt it again and she turned around swiftly In order the find the cause of the problem. She couldn't find anything and she began to worry if something was actually wrong with her skin nerves. She continued what she was on about and again, she felt a sensation, but this time, it wasn't a cold sensation, but a feeling of something, rushed passed her. She gulped. She was sure she felt something and she couldn't explain what it was. She felt the rush again and she began to tremble.

"Who's there?" she called out in fear. Was her mind playing tricks on her? Or she was just overthinkng. She sat on her seat, beads of sweat covered her fore head. She wasn't sure of what of what to make out of the situation but she was sure that someone was there, she could feel it. She felt the slight rush again and she almost lost her mind. Was she going crazy or what? There was no way she could not explain what we going on at that moment. It was almost as if an animal rushed passed her in a continuous pattern. She shivered slightly in fear. She was still trying to come up with the possible explanation for what just happened, when she felt a slight tug on her hair and she almost lost it

"Who is there?, show yourself "it was wierd coming out from her mouth as a result of how skeptic she was about the existence of ghost and supernatural being. Now here she was, talking to a supposed ghost that she felt could be the the cause of the whole sensation she kept on having. She stood up from where she sat. Dropping her phone on the desk, she walked over to the light switch. The lightening the room had at that time, made the situation worse. It made the scene more creepy. She was just about to flick on the light switch on when she was drawn back by a force, almost like a strong wind. She landed her back on the floor, making a rough impact with it. She groaned in pain as she tried to get up. She couldn't even explain what was really happening. It just felt like a freak show to her. First she was on her way to the light switch and the next minute, she was the floor. She squinting her eyes as the pain began to settle down but she knew she must have dislocated some bones because of the impact she had with the floor. She wiped the excess hair off her face that stuck to her face as a result of the sweat that was building up in her face.

"Anne" she heard a slight whisper at the right side of her ear. She paused, fear overtaking her mind. She was sure she heard her name but she couldn't explain who and what called her. She tried to get up again but she couldn't. It was almost as if her legs where stuck. She couldn't feel them any longer. She tried to move them but she could not. What was happening to her body. Was she going crazy or somrthing? She started crawling toward her phone. She needed to call felix incase it was her time. She started crawling back to the dinning table where her phone was

"You look so pathetic" she heard the voice again it was much louder this time. She was too devastated to make out the gender of the voice the first time she heard it but now she was sure that it was a woman

"Who are you?"

"Oh dear, let me save you the trouble" she heard the voice again.

"Where are you?" She asked looking around to catch a glimpse of the lady that spoke but It was almost as if her voice echoed round the house so it was kind of difficult to make our  where exactly the voice came from. She sat on the floor, puzzled and unable to walk. Her clothes were already drenched in sweat and her breathing was intense and rapid as a result of the fear that she felt inwards

"Am over here" She heard the voice at her back. She turned around in anticipation but couldn't find anyone. Her heart began to beat very fast and loud that she could even hear it. Words could not explain how scared she was.

"Not fast enough" the voice echoed and a chuckle was heard after. Anne was already shivering and trembling in fear.

"Turn around" She heard the voice again. She turned as fast as she could but still couldn't see who it was

"Over here, darling" she  heard but she couldn't still see who it was

"Just try and be a little bit faster" Anne heard from behind her accompanied with a little touch on her hair. She didn't bother turning around. She knew she wouldn't find anyone. This person was just playing her

"You are not as determined as you son, Javier. Look how fast you gave up" The voice said and adrenaline cussed through Anne at the mention of her son

"What do you know about my son?" she glared. She felt useless because of the fact that she couldn't walk

"I will tell you but you just need to find me first. It's not that hard"

"Show yourself" Anne yelled, she didn't realise when tears rolled down her cheek.

"That won't be fun"

"What do you want from me!"

"A motherly talk"

"For you?" Anne asked thinking about how absurd the statement was.

"No, for your son Javier"

"What do you mean?"

"Look" Anne heard the voice from behind. She was hesitant to look behind her because she felt she would just be wasting her time In Searching for someone that didn't want to be seen. She turned around slowly. With her neck already hurting from snapping it in different position. She turned around and her eyes met with the intruder. A lady, just like her. Very beautiful. Wickedly beautiful. Her beauty felt terrifying and the look on the lady's face was mischievous. She stared at Anne with scorn and disgust. The woman had a really dark shade of red lip gloss given off a witchy look, accompanied with her everly dark silky long hair.

"Now let's get serious" the lady said as she walked quietly. She walked in a circular motion passing through Anne's back at every turn

"You would do as I say or face the consequence"

"What do you want?" Anne said in rapsy voice. She was slightly surprised at her own voice. That was what fear could do to anybody

"Javier you son has always been stubborn. I want you to talk some sense Into him. As his mother, I believe he would do as you say"

"How do you know my son?"

"Don't you dare question me" she glared at her

"What are you?"

"I am many things my dear. Let's just stick with.  I am what your son is"

"My son can never be like you"

"Oh really?" She mocked amidst a thunderous laughter

"You have really been kept in the dark for so long. Javier and Bella did a good job in keeping you in the dark

"You know Bella?"

"I know more than what you would expect me to know. Anne. Now I want you to do as I say"

"Why would I?" Anne said trying to stand her ground, trying to feel less threatened by the being in front of her

"Because I suppose that you wouldn't want your darling felix to come and find you dead In your own pool of blood"

"What do you want me to do" Anne asked in fear of what the lady in front of could do to her if she doesnt comply

"Now tell Javier that this is his final warning. Tell him to terminate the contract with Harry or you would die"

"What?"Anne said, she could barely hear the sound of her voice. It was almost as if her vocal box wasn't her's anymore

"Tell him that Lagatha sends her regard" the lady said, glaring at her before she finally disappeared.
