"Have you found her?" Lagatha asked
"Not yet"
"I knew it, always as incompetent as ever" Lagatha glared at him with scorn
"Your son has her" he blurted out
"Andrew?" Lagatha didn't need to ask which of her son it was. She knew that there was only one of her son that could be capable of pulling that stunt and it was Andrew. Lawson would bring Hattie to her but Andrew would want to punish her himself.
"He has had her all this while"
"He probably wants to have his revenge"
"Should I leave her with him?"
"Of course not, I want that pendant and she could be with it. If Andrew lays his hands on that pendant he is not going to release it and he could do the unspeakable with the pendant"
"So I should get her?"
"If you can. The most important thing is finding the pendant. If you find the pendant, I have no use for her. Andrew can do whatever he wants with her"
"Ok ma'am"
"Have you found out where Andrew could have probably kept her?"
"Not at all"
"What about Javier, has he found out where they could be?"
"No but he is really furious about the whole situation"
"Anyway that is none of my business just get me the pendant."
Fay gasped, as the first shackle came loose. She winced in pain, retreating her hair pin back into her hair as she wrapped her hands over her wrist that was already sore, dabbing it slightly. She was already too weak to even lift a finger, her legs were trembling. She haven't been given food and even if she was given, it was always a little amount of it. It was as if they were making her weak for a purpose of her not running away. She breathed in, steadying herself. She brought out the hair pin from my hair again and started the process on the other shackles. Her aim was to get out of here immediately the shackles came loose. She placed the hairpin on the mouth of the padlock, twisting vigorously in every angle she could turn it to. She desperately wanted to get out of there and she wasn't going to stop until she gets herself totally free. About 10 minutes later the shackles on her right hand came loose. The bruises on her right hand was much more greater than that of her left. The shackles brushed against her skin as it tried to fall off and she groaned in pain.
She hadn't realised all this while that there was a hair pin on my hair. It was during a process when she was being beaten up that the hair pin fell off. Luckily for her, Hudson did not notice when it fell off. If not, he would have taken it from her. She resumed her work on the Left Foot twisting and shaking the hair pin vigorously inside. She was still about to get the shackles off when she heard footsteps. Her heart sunk. She was in big trouble if the lady or the guard comes in and see how she had managed to remove the shackles, she will get beaten up and probably they will ensure more measures in keeping her captive. Tears came running down her cheeks as she's continued shaking the hair pin inside the padlock, vigorously. She couldn't go back to square one, she needed to get out of here and she wasn't going to stop until the padlock falls off. The foot steps started getting nearer and she wasn't making any progress in making the padlock come loose. A wimp escaped from her lips as fear overwhelmed her. The door finally opened and a flashlight was shunned to her, almost blinding her. She was doomed, the shackles were already on the floor and there was no way she could explain how they got there. Tears came pouring down mightily from my eyes, she couldn't help it. She felt hopeless, helpless and useless she was back to square one. They will probably even kill her because she tried to escape. What she couldn't tell was why her life was like this. When she felt that her life was actually getting better after meeting Hattie but here she was, being accused of a pendant that she knows nothing about. What was so special about a goddamn pendant that they felt they should inflict pains on her. She kept on hearing the name, Agatha. And with the way things were going, she believed that Agatha was her mum. She must have done something terrible to them so they were taking the anger and her. But why would they do that when she didn't even meet her mum. Her mother left her in the hands of her uncle and Aunt who eventually left her and now two strangers were holding her hostage, inflicting constant torture and pain on her because of her mother. How crazy life was to her. If she could turn back the hands of the clock, she would not even be born in the first place. That way, she wouldn't have to face all this problems that were coming.
She was able to make out who it was and it was the annoying bodyguard. He rushed towards her as soon as he found out that the shackles were on the floor. He looked at her in amazement, probably thinking of how she was able to undo them. Fay braced herself because she knew she was going to get it hot. The guard glared at her with scorn. He smacked her hard across the face causing her to wince in pain as a result of how sensitive her skin was at that time. She was already too weak, she would have fought him till her last breath as long as it would guarantee her escaping. He held her by the neck squeezing tightly with anger written all over his face. She choked, gasped as she tried to undo his hands that were tightly locked on her neck. She was already seeing in light when he finally let go of her. He continually threw punches on her face, groaning and roaring in Anger. He finally stopped and Fay found it very hard to breathe. She started gasping for breath, it was almost as if her nostril was blocked. The guard noticed how she was gasping for breath and splashed a little amount of water on her face, that came from the watercan he was holding. She finally regained herself spitting out water, fluid and blood from her mouth.
"You wouldn't think of escaping next time" Hudson said as he tried to keep her head still which was already swaying at different positions as a result of the impact he used in hitting her.
"If I die, I would hunt you down and I will never rest until i get what I want" Fau said weakly, still coughing slightly.
"What do you think I am. Do you think I am as weak as you? I have done terrible things. I am a being that you can never comprehend for crying out loud so threats like that don't work on me"
"For goodness sake, what do you want from me? I already told you, I don't have the pendant but you guys insist on making my life miserable I don't even know who the fuck Agatha is"
"I don't like the tone in your voice. Do you perhaps want me to correct it for you?"
"Just kill me already, rather than making me go through different kinds of pain"
"Of course I will kill you, as long as Lagatha gives the command and trust me it wouldn't be anytime from now because she wants you to suffer and she's also after your sister"
"What do you mean, my sister?"
"You didn't know? of course you did not know but I will give you the privilege of knowing now because you might never get the chance to see her"
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about Hattie being your sister. You were staying at her house. I should have investigated more when I adopted you from that same house"
"What do you mean?"
"She is your half-sister. Agatha was known to be very notorious when it comes to men"
"Why should I believe you?"
"Because you don't have a choice. It's not like you're getting out of here anyway. You might never get the chance to see her so you just have to believe me. I actually did you a huge favour of letting you know that you have a family who cares about you because I can see you are as good as dead"
Fay was really short of words when she heard this. She knew that she had always felt connected to Hattie. She had always seen her as a big sister even before all this. It could be the reason why Hattie had helped her, she must have felt connected to her too. This was really huge. All her life, she had always believed that she had no family but here she was, hearing for the first time that a stranger that she had just met, that took her in, was her sister. It was really a shocking discovery and she didn't even know how to react. She felt like crying but she had already exhausted all the tears. She felt like crying because there was a probability that she might never get the chance to see her sister again and there is a probability that she could end up dying in this cell. She felt empty. The pain she felt physically was not compared to the one pain in her chest. Why did she just find out about it now?. If she has found out before this, she would have spent a lot of time with her, the time she had never spent with a sister before. They would relive all their lost years of loneliness but here she was being trapped against her own will and there was no chance of her getting away. She had already screwed up her chances. She looked at the hairpin already in the guards hand. That was her only way of escaping, now she had to kiss it goodbye
"Well you don't need to be so emotional about it, you might get to see her few minutes before you die, or not. Just have it in mind that you living is just a probability"
"What the hell did my mother do to the both of you?" She shot at him. Staring at him with disdain
"You know what, I think you have every right to know so that you won't go to the after world in confusion. That would be so much for your little head to carry. You see, your mother Agatha killed Lagatha's daughter, Mabel in the most brutal way ever. Your mother was a hyran and she felt she wanted to show lagata who is more superior to the other so she killed Mabel. Lagatha was so Furious so she killed Agatha but she didn't feel satisfied. She learnt that Agatha gave birth to a girl. She found out after she had already killed Agatha but you were just nowhere to be found. She tried tracking you for years but it was almost as if you were never born. Well you couldn't hide forever. She found you and here you are. We never knew that Agatha had a daughter long ago before she had you I just found out about that recently and we are on to her too. When we get her, we stop all this and put an end to Agatha's generation
Fay on hearing this story, gulped. They have been after her all these years, no one that Rebecca never allowed her go out. She didn't know what to believe. It was so absurd to have never met her mother and here she was being told that her mother literally killed someone. And who the hell is a hyran. She felt to ask but she thought against it. He might get angry and beat her up again for asking too many questions. he had beaten her up before for that same reason so she was trying to be careful. Her mother really murdered lagatha's daughter, that was why they were making her life miserable. But for goodness sake this was the first time she was hearing about the story so why were they on to her.
