Now she was dreaming about him, how powerful could this being be. How was he even able to go into her dream. This person must know alot about dark magic. That most definitely, explains the whole case. She tilted to her side in deep thought. She couldn't fall asleep anymore as a result of fear. She kept asking herself why this person was after her life. There were alot of people living in this city, why did he exempt them and choose to come after her own life. She was going to be dead meat if she did not have adequate protection. She hated the fact that she would have to stay with Javier's sister, she would have to tell him that he was right. She tilted over to other side, restless. She knew that she won't be able to sleep all through the night. She got up from her bed in frustration. She walked over to the bathroom to answer nature's call. She exited the bathroom. She wasn't feeling sleepy, why don't she use this opportunity to explore this huge house. She really liked adventure and this was a perfect way to pass the night. She opened her room door, she didn't want Javier to wake up who would surely tell her to go back to sleep in his bossy nature. She closed the doors behind her. The stairs were dark with just a little light in it. That light was enough for her see. There were alot of rooms she noticed in a hall way when she was at dinner with Javier this afternoon and she was aching to know how they looked on the inside. Javier would most definitely not mind her entering other rooms as long it was not his. She knew she was trespassing but she couldn't help her curious self. She carefully made it through the stairs. Her body was getting much better so walking wasn't as difficult as it was, this morning. The pills were surely doing a great job. She walked gently to the first room, with a wooden white door with golden decoration on it. The room had a number on it. 'ROOM NUMBER 15' it read. The other rooms also had numbers on it, how absurd was it to name a room. She wondered what was so special about the rooms. She opened the room, thankfully, it wasn't locked. She walked into the room. It was really plain with no bed or table in it. She loved the white colour that the room had, it made the room look so much bigger. The room had numerous number of art hung on the wall. He was a fan of art, no wonder he kept looking at the painting on her wall at the hospital. But she noticed something about the paintings, they all hard a dark meaning to it. The first artwork was about a boy walking in a narrow lane with darkness hovering around him. If you looked closely, you would see differnt creatures in the darkness. How creepy was that? The artist really did a good job as she could already sense the boy's fear. She loved arts that she could connect to. Yes, that was how good the painting what. One of the qualities of good painting, is the ability to connect with it. She walked to the other painting. It was just facial painting of a girl. It was just a lady but there was something disturbing about the picture. The lady had this sad look in her eyes. Her hair was messed up and she was bruised on the lips. Just below the painting, there was a read writing on it which read 'Marked' Hattie wondered what it meant, was she marked for something? She asked herself. The painting did not settle well with her, the lady's eyes kept peering into hers, it even felt like the painting was not a painting, It felt and looked so real. She found it too disturbing. She was confused on who the lady was and why she looked so sad. The room suddenly felt too creepy, she couldn't stay there, she had to leave. She walked to the door as she exited the room. She looked at the doors of rooms, arranged in one line. She wondered why he had so many rooms. There were about 10 rooms on a line. A particular room caught her attention. It was at the far edge of the hall way. It was more isolated that the rest and it had no writing on it. She walked to the room door and stood in front of it. The door was made with brown polished wood unlike the others that were just plain white. She stretched her hand towards the door knob in an attempt to open the door, she twisted the door knob but something stopped her. She looked down at her hands on the door knob, another hand was on top hers, She turned around and her eyes met javier's. He looked really angry as he sent death glares to her. She gulped, how was she going to explain herself now, she should have just listened to the voice that told her to stay back in my room. She slowly released her hands off his as she stepped away from the room door.
"What are you doing here?" he asked in a raspy voice with a hint of anger in his voice.
"Nothing, I was just bored" she said, she was waiting for the worst to happen, boredom wasn't an excuse for trespassing.
"You are supposed to be in bed Hattie" he said as though she was really getting on his nerves.
"I.. I..." She stammered which made him become more angry "Am sorry" she said calmly in order to lighten up the ruined atmosphere.
"You don't need to apologise, I won't accept it, just go back to your room" he ordered. Hattie just nodded like a child who was being scolded as she walked back upstairs, she dragged her feet in frustration as she went up the stairs.
Javier ran his hand through his head. Why didn't she just stay in her room. He wondered what would happen if she found out the truth, she would see him as a monster. She probably would never forgive him for how much pain he had caused her. He sighed as he proceeded into locking the door.

Andrew took another sip from his almost finished tequila. The noise from the club was piercing through his ear. This was the least he needed right now. He really needed a place where he could think. He sighed as he poured fresh drink into his cup. He smirked as the memories of that night that came flooding back.
"Hattie" he said slowly as he let out a smile. He had not accomplished what he set out to do that night. He wasn't going to kill her, at least not yet. He liked to inflict fear and torture on his victim first before he finally struck. Javier really hard feeling for the lady, the way his eyes filled with wrath when Andrew tried to come close to her. Andrew had never seen Javier so fierce before. Andrew heard the chair beside him dragging on the floor as someone pulled it from behind. Andrew looked up and turned to his side.
Lawson sat on the seat as he looked Andrew who was already a little bit tipsy. He beckoned on the bar man, who was attending to a customer by the other side of the counter.
"What can I get you?" the bar man who was now standing in front of him said.
"Just Chap man" Lawson said which made Andrew chuckle.
"Chap man, For a tough guy like You?" Andrew asked
"I sure have have different tastes, And today I choose to go with something soft"
"Ok"
"So why did you send for me?"
"I finally found Hattie"
"Which Hattie?" Lawson asked unsure if he heard the first statement correctly.
"The Hattie we have been looking for all this while"
"Wow, how were you able to find her?"
"Trust me and my tracking skills, nothing can get past me especially not a weakling like her" Andrew smirked
"Do you think she could be normal?"
"Yes one hundred percent, I already had and encounter with her twice and you should have seen how scared she was. Trust me, she is as fragile as glass"
"What if she doesn't know about it, those kinds of thing actually wait for a trigger before it is unleashed"
"I don't care. We have to kill her before any of that happens"
"There is fifty percent chance she would take after her mother"
"Yes, and that is the more reason I want to end her" Andrew paused as he took a sip from his drink "And Javier is in love with her"
"Oh wow, how do you know all this"
"Come on, I know Javier more than he even knows himself. He is in love with Hattie and that only triggers me to want to end her badly"
"You are still in this fantasy world of you and Javier?" Lawson couldn't help but chuckle Which made Andrew angry. How dare Lawson laugh at what he said. The last time he checked, he was really bad at cracking jokes. Lawson was really getting on his nerves, which was a very wrong move. Lawson no longer had value for his tongue and he was going to make him loose it. The demon in him smiled at the though of it.
"Whichever way we have to kill Hattie" Andrew said
"You can easily do that, why do you need my help" he paused as he took his drink from the bar man who set it on the table
"Well I can't easily kill her when Bella and Javier both her back" Andrew said. The mention of Bella's name made Lawson stomach twist in disgust. How much he hated that corn artist. One of the most trickish lashedta he had ever seen.
"Yes it would be really difficult but what makes you think I can take down both?"
"Because I know what you can do. With two of us together, Javier and Bella won't stand a chance"
"You have a point though, any plans on when to kill her"
"No plan is needed, let's just sit and wait for the mouse to come to us"
"I like the sound of that"
"She would pay for her mother's sins" Andrew said with a smirk

"What do you think could be the reason?" Javier asked Bella who was sitting by a couch handle
"Well I don't know, javier. I have not experienced this kind of thing before. Has this ever happened with anyone other than hattie before?"
"No it hasn't, do you think I might be loosing my powers?"
"Don't be silly, a lashedta's power can not be lost. It is what we are know for. We can't loose it. There have to be another explanation for all of this"
"I did a thorough thinking about this last night and could not come up with anything"
"Lets try this, try manipulating me into forgetting what I said now"
"Ok got it" Javier noted
"Lets try this, try manipulating me into forgetting what I said now"
"Already done" Javier said
"Oh, you did?" she said as realisation hit her "then am guessing your powers are just as good as new"
"So why didn't it work on her?"
"I don't know. Did you sense any strange energy from her?"
"No I did not"
"Then am afraid, I don't have the answer you are looking for"
"There is another issue"
"Urgggh it ever ends" she groaned in frustration
"I thing Andrew knew Hattie long before I met her"
"I thought you said that Andrew was after her because you were in love with her?"
"That's what I initially thought, but Hattie said he was the same person that stalked her when she was arriving from the office and that was before she met me"
"Hmm strange, there is something he is hiding"
"I think so too but I can't seem to put my fingers on it"
"He is after Hattie for another reason and I think the reason has to be a very strong one"
"That sly demon" Javier cursed
"If you want to protect Hattie, You need to think faster than him. Has she agreed to come here?"
"No but it's only a matter of time" he smirked
"And what did you do this time"
"I planted a dream in her memory, the fear of the dream would make her agree"
"I thought your powers don't work on her?"
"It doesn't, physically, but I was able to create that image of fear. It took me numerous attempt though"
"Wow ok, let's just wait"
"I was thinking of moving mum down here, staying in California alone would be too dangerous"
"Well get ready to do alot of convincing because she hardly listens to anybody when it comes to leaving California. It's almost like she was tied to that place"
"I don't even know why I am surrounded by stubborn people" Javier groaned In frustration
"Excuse me, What do you mean by that? You will have to exempt me from that list because I am the most sweetest and loving being you can ever come across" she said plainly, blowing a bubble from her chewing gum
"You are the worse of all"
"Whatever" Bella said rolling her eyes at Javier.
"Harry finally sighed the contract" Javier announced
"Wow he did? I am so surprised" she said sarcastically
"Don't act so surprise, you know what really well, what I am capable of?"
"Of course I do" she smirked
"I met him person, it didn't even take me more than 5minutes to convince him. I should have done that, instead of sending that secretary of mine"
"I wouldn't blame her though, that Harry can be scary at times"
"He couldn't pull that tough guy act on me, I had him just were I wanted"
"And there you were, scaring the poor girl out of her skin"
"You wouldn't blame me, I was really tensed up"
"Hattie really has a lot of effect on you"
"Whatever you say" his mind drifted to yesterday's night when he found Hattie lurking around in the night. He was sure that she saw the painting, judging from the way the painting was placed different from the way he kept it. He knew she wasn't going to read meaning to it but keeping that painting in a place where she could see it was a really bad idea.

'Are you still at your friends place?' the message read. It was from Daphne. Hattie originally thought she would have been home yesterday but judging from what was going on, she couldn't.
'Yes, something came up 'she texted back' she knew, Daphne might be inquisitive and ask to come over. Hattie didn't know if Javier would be bossy about it and decline it.
