In love

Eric's POV

I blinked my eyes and groaned in irritation as I felt the light from the cameras on me, I hated this and regretted coming over here.  

I left the red carpet entrance and step into the hall, but just then a familiar and fascinating scent caught my attention. 

"Mate". I muttered out, while staring around  

How could she be here, who invited her here and what was she doing here.  

All these thoughts rang in my head as I searched for her around the hall while walking to the direction of the scent.  

I followed the direction of her scent until I saw her with Kelvin and prince Liam discussing, but that wasn't my problem.  

I got angry when I noticed Liam moved closer to her and tucked her hair behind her ear with so much desires for her in his eyes.  

I felt anger rush down my blood and I knew I was losing it when she smiled at him and looked my way.  

We lock eyes with each other and I could see the shock and fear in her eyes when she saw me staring back at her  

"Oh Eric you are here ". Kelvin's voice caught my attention,  

I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath to change the color of my eyes before opening them.  

I walked to their direction and stood before Liam,  

"We are finally complete, this is my best birthday ever ". Liam muttered those words while smiling at me,  

"Happy birthday Liam ". I muttered out nonchalantly while taking a glimpse of Victoria,  

"You still haven't changed ". Liam muttered those words and smiled at me,  

"I hope to see you before you leave ".he moved closer to Victoria and took her two hands and placed kisses on them with so much care and love that I couldn't stand it but look away.  

"I have to go greet some guests". Liam smiled widely at us before leaving,  

We all stood there in silence until Victoria spoke up  

"Kelvin I think we should go back to our table".she spoke calmly like I wasn't standing there  

"Yeah, sure , Eric you should join us ". Kelvin flashed me a big smile before walking away with Victoria  

I groaned in anger and squeezed my both hands in anger as I watch them leave  

I turned around and watch then take their table.  

I took a better look at Victoria and noticed she was indeed looking different today, her color was shining from the dress she was putting on and her long black curly hair on her shoulders were outstandingly beautiful 

We met eyes with each other and I noticed her gulped and looked away.  

I moved my gaze to Kelvin and lock eyes with him  

"What is she doing here with you ". I asked through telepath,  

He chuckled softly to her hearing but did not say a word, getting me more angry.  

"Kelvin". I called out his name through telepath  

He stared at me an annoying smile on his face, the one he knows I hate so much.  

"Enjoy the party Eric ".he said those words to me through telepath and removed his gaze from me,  

I groaned out in frustration and picked up a drink from the tray and drank all at once in anger, I moved away and took a seat on an empty table with my gaze still at them.  

"Hello Eric".a voice caught my attention  

I moved my gaze from them and stared at the person standing before me  

"Can I seat".he asked  

"You can, you don't need to ask for permission". I murmured angrily while I kept on staring at Victoria and Kelvin who were so lost in their conversation that I wish I could hear what they were saying.  

"Long time no see, we've been in the same country and town, but we hardly see each other".he stated those words while looking around  

I ignored him and took a sip of my drink  

"Is that kelvin's girlfriend?".he asked while staring at both of them with jealousy  

"You are his mate, why don't you go and ask him ". I muttered out angrily while getting up from the chair,  

"I need to see someone". I did not let those words finish from my mouth before I left the table.  

I stood in a corner in the hall and kept on staring at both of them with anger and jealousy.  

I tried getting kelvin's attention, but it seems like he knew my plans and never looked my way, not even her.  

"Hello Ladies and gentlemen, the dance floor is opened for everyone, please join us ". Liam muttered those words after he finished dancing with his younger sister.  

I groaned in frustration as I watch people getting up from their chair with their partners in their hands  

I moved my gaze to Kelvin and Victoria and noticed Liam was standing in front of them with his hand to Victoria, asking her for a dance.  

I stared at them in anger and tried looking away, but I couldn't. I was so drowned to her that I couldn't get my eyes off her since I walked in.  

I watch her took Liam's hand and stood up from the chair while she followed him to the center of the hall where other guests were dancing.  

He made her place her hand on his shoulder while he gently placed his hand on her waist and they both started dancing to the slow music while the light in the hall became dim, but I could still see them because I wasn't able to remove my eyes from her.  

I watch him dance slowly with her, while his eyes were fixed on her, and I did not need to be told that he has desires for her.  

"Mate ".my wolf cried out in anger and jealousy  

I controlled my wolf with my gaze still on them as I noticed him whispering words to her ear, words that made her giggled happily like a kid.  

She was so free and happy with him despite meeting him just few minutes ago, it pains me, it pains me that she was never this free and happy with me despite the fact that I was her mate.  

I roughly ran my fingers through my hair in frustration as I watch them dance romantically.  

I shouldn't be acting the ways towards her, I was the one who hated her, I was the one who told her to stay away from me then why do I feel this much pain in my heart.  

I moved my attention to them, and noticed Liam pulling Victoria to himself while he gently kissed her on the lips with so much love and care.  

I felt anger, jealousy, and possession run down my blood that I couldn't hold it anymore.  

I angrily walked up to them and pulled Victoria away from him  

"What is the meaning of this ?". Liam asked,  

"She is my mate, and I will appreciate it if you stay away from her ". I declared those words to him through telepath and pulled her along with me  

"What are you doing".she asked while trying to remove my grip from her  

"Relax and behave yourself unless you want me to create a scene here ". I declared those words as a threat  

She stared at me with wild eyes while I pulled her along with me and left the hall.  

I got to my car, opened the door while staring at her with anger  

"Get in ". I muttered out firmly  

"No".she replied angrily 

I took in a deep breath and calm myself before speaking up  

"Get inside if you to want me to create a scene here in front of all these cameras". I threatened coldly  

She stared around before staring at me with anger and hatred  

"Fuck you ".she muttered out angrily and went inside the car.  

I closed the car and walked over to the driver's seat 

"What the hell is your problem?".she asked in anger  

I ignored her and put on the car before driving off  

"What is your problem, what do you want from me ".she yelled in anger  

"Why did you kiss him?". I asked in anger with my eyes still focused on the road  

"Are you for real ?"she asked in anger  

"You have no fucking right to ask me such stupid question, you are nothing to me, and I am nothing to you. I hate you Eric, I despise you and wish never to see you in my life".she stated firmly  

Hearing those words from her, I felt a sharp pain in my heart, and a different type of anger in me.  

"Drive slowly ".she muttered out in anger  

I totally ignored her and kept on driving in full speed as what she said kept ringing in my head  

"Slow down Eric".she yelled in anger with her gaze focused on the road  

"Eric stop this car ".she shouted in panic, but I totally ignored her and increased the speed of the car.

"Stop ".she yelled at the top of her voice while she placed her two hands on her ear with her eyes closed

"Stop it, stop it ".she yelled in tears as I watch her shivers in fear 

Quickly I slowed down and stopped the car, while I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath to calm myself.

With my eyes closed I was surprised she wasn't shouting or yelling at me but rather she was quiet.

I opened my eyes and stared at her only to noticed she has fainted 

"Victoria". I tap her roughly in the arms but got no response from her, 

I felt fear and panic rush down my vein as I kept on tapping her but still no response from me.

Quickly I start the car and drove off to the hospital with shaking hands, I was scared, really scared.

I parked in front of the hospital, came out of the car, went to her side of the car and carried her in my arms while I rushed inside the hospital

"Emergency". I called out 

Two nurses rushed to me with a bed and I placed her on the bed 

"What happened ".they asked while moving her to the emergency room 

"I don't know, she just fainted". I spoke in panic

"It's okay sir, please wait outside " .the doctor gave me an assuring smile before closing the door behind her.

I remove my jacket and pull off my tie, so I could be able to breathe because I was finding it hard to breathe.

I walked aimlessly while waiting for the door to open, I wailed in pain as the thought of loosing her came to my mind 

I sat on the chair and constantly check the time while staring at the door.

I sat there for almost an hour before I noticed the door opened, and the doctor came walking out.

I rushed to her and stood before her 

"How is she ". I asked while seizing my breath 

"She is fine "

I felt my bones and everything in me relaxed at the mention of that 

"Whatever that happened, should never happen again".she warned seriously

"Patients with panic disorder have high risk of fainting and losing consciousness, and it's really risky to them".she stated firmly

"Panic disorder". I asked, shocked and confused

"You don't know ?".the doctor asked in disbelief

"No wonder".she shakes her head 

"She has panic disorder, and it will be best if you keep her away from anything that will make her get scared or panicked".she stated firmly

"Panic disorder". I muttered out to myself

"You can go in and see her ".the doctor gave me an assuring smile before walking away 

"Panic disorder". I muttered out again 

How come I didn't notice this when she fainted in my room on dad's birthday, why didn't I notice it when she was screaming and yelling for me to stop.

I shake my head in regret as I slowly open the door of the room she was transferred to.

I opened the door and saw Victoria sleeping peacefully on the bed with her two eyes closed.

I moved closer to her and stood beside her while staring at her with so much pain in my heart

"She has panic disorder and I didn't even know about it".

I stared at her and noticed my heart pounding in pain as I watch her lay on the bed 

I brought forth my hand and gently strokes her hair with so much care and love.

Something was definitely wrong with me, I knew I was acting strange, I was becoming too possessive of her, I was becoming jealous and overbearing towards her.

My heart pound in excitement whenever she smiles, and I want to spend much time with her and only her.

All these feelings were strange to me, but I knew what it was, I am in love with her, I'm in love with my weak mate.

I'm in love with a woman I was supposed to hate, I'm in love with a woman I was supposed to thrown out of my life, I thought I loved Sophie, but I was wrong.

What I felt for Sophie was lust and nothing else, but what I feel for Victoria was love, and I can't deny it even if I want to.

I gently stoked her hair and watch her sleep peacefully.

I was still stroking her hair when suddenly she opens her eyes and stared at me with so much anger and hatred in her.

She stood up and sat on the bed while she stared around the room with curiosity

"Are you okay?". I asked while staring at her

"You brought me here ?".she asked in anger while staring around 

"Yes ". I whispered, disappointed at myself 

"Get out".she muttered those words in a serious tune 

"Listen ".she cut me off 

"Leave this room Eric ".she yelled at the top of her voice 

"What do you want from me, tell me ".she demanded in anger 

"You've made it clear that you hate me, and you have asked me to stay away from you ,and that is what I have been doing, then why are you still here ".she asked in anger.

I met eyes with her and could see the anger and hatred she has for me in her eyes, she hates me so much, and I don't blame her for that 

"Leave this room this minute".she demanded in anger while pointing at the door

"Leave, before I do something stupid".she muttered those words as a threat 

Seeing how angry she was, I moved away and walked up to the door.

I turned around and stared at her, it was obvious she hated me, she despises me and will never want anything to do with me, and it wasn't her fault it was all my fault, I pushed her away and told her how much I hated her.

I stared at her while she stared back at me with anger and hatred 

It was obvious I have lost her, but only has Eric because I know I still have her as DOM Tim.
