Lanre and Ify are roommates and students of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu state. While Lanre is a beautiful light skin girl from the city of Ibadan, Ify whose full name is Ifeoma is dark skinned from the coal city, Enugu and both are undergraduates studying Mass communication and are in their final year. 
Unlike Ify, Lanre is the wild type who has her eyes for extremely flashy things, so when a guy approached her and asked her to marry her, she thought he wanted to hinder her from leaving life to the fullest until she realised he was the governor's son and wanted him for herself. But he was already engaged to Ify. What price is Lanre willing to pay to marry the "Governor's Son"?

The Governor's Son Is Mine

Anita rushed after the young man asking Lanre and Ify to wait for her inside the shop that she will be back soon. She managed to catch up with him when he was about to get inside his car.

“K!” She called. He looked at her raising a brow at her. “Is there a problem Miss?” He asked her. She almost went mad at him for acting like she was a stranger, but decided to keep her cool. “Thanks for getting her the shoe, but you should have informed me before hand. And to that, you don’t do things like that”. Anita said.

“Like how?” He asked her. “K, you do not approach a lady in that manner. What if she hates your guts and thinks you’ve got too much ego?” Anita asked. He smirked. “Don’t worry Ani, I got her hooked already”. He said winking at her. Then he got into his car and zoomed off. “Anything for you K”. She muttered watching his car disappear into the distance. She noticed a tear about to drop off her eyes. She wiped it off.

Two months ago, she was with her phone viewing status on WhatsApp when she stumbled upon a video her cousin sister had posted. “Babe, come and see my cousin, the one I have been telling you about”. She said. Giving the phone to Michael. “Whoa!” Michael exclaimed. “What is it?” His friend K asked. He happened to be at Michael’s place that day since it was a weekend. “Guy, come see babe!” Michael had said telling K to come see for himself the lady in the video. “Which babe are you both talking about?” Anita asked them when she noticed the way K stared at her phone.

“Your cousin! She is fairer than you are”. K said. Then he asked her if she was coming for the wedding too. Anita stood up to go get her phone. “This is not my cousin. She is a friend of Ify. Ify is my cousin and she is the dark one”. Anita said.

“Is her friend coming?” K asked. “No! I don’t know”. Anita replied. K told her to make sure she comes even if it means changing her maid of honour. Anita asked him why he wanted that. “Shanti is ugly! I won’t dance with an ugly girl, not walk beside her”. K said. “You can as well get a date. You don’t have to dance with my maid of honour. Or you can drop your position as the best man”. Anita said to him.

Michael immediately jumped in. “I agree with K! I mean why use shanti when you have a cousin who have a beautiful friend. Damn! You need someone like that behind you babe! See now, a handsome best man for a handsome groom”. Michael said.

“You better not be eyeing her as well”. Anita said to Michael. Then she told them she will talk to her cousin. And that was how Lanre came to be the chosen maid of honour.
