I'm Going Crazy

Christian clicked his tongue. It seems K must have gone to master the art of interrupting his business. He turned to face K with a smirk on his lips. K shrugged. He made a gesture towards Lanre. Then he said he would be taking her with him. Christian blocked K when he attempted a move towards Lanre.

“She’s not a toy! She’s a human with a heart and a right to choice. You can’t just take her and drop her tossing her about however you want”. Christian said to K. K tried to push him aside. But Christian puts in a good resistance. They both ended up in a tussle.

“Stop you too!” Lanre yelled, but they didn’t listen. Lanre was scared because this was happening just right at the corner of the road, what if something bad happens.

She walked into their middle to separate them. Christian pulled her behind him so she doesn’t get hit. Lanre refused to stay put. She tried to get in between them again but ended up receiving the blow from K on Christian’s behalf. This must have been enough to stop the fight because the two immediately stopped fighting.

“Lanre, I’m sorry! Are you hurt? Let me see”. K said but Lanre pushed his hand away.

“Chris, let’s go”. Lanre said to Christian walking in front of him. K stood watching dejectedly. It seems she has made her choice. But then, since she accepted his ring, has she not accepted him already? She never accepted his but accepted Christian’s ring.

K face palms himself. He asked himself what he was thinking when he came after them? Was he thinking he and Lanre was in any relationship or what? They never got to work out. They only for to work out in bed a few times, but not in a relationship. He sighed heavily as he watched Christian drive away with Lanre in his car. He stood there even when the car was out of sight. A warm breeze hits his face.

“Even the night is not cool with me”. He muttered. He walked to his car. He got in and drove off. He had no direction. No clue where he was headed. He just drove around. The last time he drove like this without a direction, it was a day after his engagement party. He was searching for Lanre after he got the information that Lanre was missing.

“I’m going crazy Lanre. Should I say I’ve fallen head over heels for you even being apart from you. But you choose Christian over me! What am I even saying? Kehinde what is wrong with you?” He said to himself. After driving for long, K decided to lodge in a hotel. He needed it to stay away from his family especially Ify. Thinking about her spewing all those nonsense from her mouth at the family dinner only provoked him to laugh. A kind of laugh that made him feel like strangling her for contemplating their relationship even more. It’s as though using the video to blackmail him was not enough.
