Lanre and Ify are roommates and students of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu state. While Lanre is a beautiful light skin girl from the city of Ibadan, Ify whose full name is Ifeoma is dark skinned from the coal city, Enugu and both are undergraduates studying Mass communication and are in their final year. 
Unlike Ify, Lanre is the wild type who has her eyes for extremely flashy things, so when a guy approached her and asked her to marry her, she thought he wanted to hinder her from leaving life to the fullest until she realised he was the governor's son and wanted him for herself. But he was already engaged to Ify. What price is Lanre willing to pay to marry the "Governor's Son"?

The Governor's Son Is Mine

“Isn’t she sexy? I mean what a booty?” K said. This annoyed Christian. He knew K was deliberately ignoring him. But he was not going to drop the topic. Lanre is his major focus. And he won’t let K have his way. He asked K where Lanre was. K shrugs. He told Christian he never knew he was now a babysitter to an adult.

“You should stop this shit Kehinde. Tell me where the hell Lanre is. You should not be doing this to her. She is f**king pregnant”. Christian said. He was getting angry and was beginning to let out his anger.

“You don’t want to hurt her, do you? Is that what you plan on doing? I thought you were the one who came to me last night asking me to protect her?” Christian said. He really could not understand K anymore.

“Well, that was until I found out I’m the father of the child she’s carrying in her stomach you bastard”. K said. Christian was taken aback. Did K figure out all by himself or did Lanre tell him herself.

“How the hell did you get her to tell you that? Lanre wouldn’t want you to know that”. Christian said.

“Look Kehinde, even if you are the father, I think it is best you let her go. She would be better with me”. Christian said. K laughed. Christian was confused at the way K laughed in such a way. It was as though he won’t stop laughing. Worst was his laugh sounded more like he was bitter.

“You are right! She would not tell me. You gave me a clue and I asked her. Even when it slipped off her tongue by mistake, she called me impotent. I felt really bad. I was disheartened. But I was not going to let her go either. And now that you just told me that I am going to be a father, I’m just so f**king proud and disappointed. I’m proud that I am going to be a father. But I am disappointed that I ever thought you were my friend. You just want to steal my girl and my baby from me”. K said.

Christian gritted his teeth. Did he just not see that coming? How could he not have known that K was only tricking him.

“Kehinde, it’s not like that. I am not trying to steal anybody away from you. I care about Lanre. And I care about the child in her womb and I am ready to take responsibility for her if she accepts me. I was not trying to steal anyone from you, you never had her in the first place. You were even too blind to see how much your father wanted you to get her for yourself”. Christian said. K punched Christian in the face.

“Seems I’ve been punching some mother f**kers lately for your sake Lanre”. K muttered. He told Christian he did not want to see him close to Lanre again and that he should not try contacting Lanre.
