“You want to play?” Isaac asked Greatness. Greatness was so thrilled that for some seconds he could not say anything. He just stared at the Ps5 in awe. Isaac wondered why Greatness was so thrilled until Greatness told him he has not gotten a chance to play Ps5 before. And that he has only been hearing about it.
Eno frowned. She asked them what was so important about game that Greatness was so thrilled over a common play station.
“Omo, no call Ps5 common o! If I can get an opportunity to have one, I won’t do anything again”. Greatness said. Eno told him she felt like slapping his head for those last words that came out of his mind.
“Lets play. If you beat me to it, I will give you this one”. Isaac said.
“Why will you give him that thing. He does not need it. Such a thing will only be a distraction to him”. Eno said. Greatness not wanting such charity either told Isaac there was no need to do that.
“Besides, I will not be able to win you on this one”. He said to Isaac.
“The both of you should not tell me you are about to play that game leaving me to myself”. Eno said. Isaac smirked. He took out the pads and handed one to Greatness.
“Eno, who are you betting for?” Isaac asked.
“For my brother! Who else will I be supporting?” Eno said. Isaac told her to enjoy the show.
When the game began, Eno did not know who was who and just cheered randomly. At some point she would just relax into the chair and pretend to be asleep until the mother came to fetch them. Eno felt relieved. She was already bored getting to watch them play while she was left out. She would rather sat with Shakespeare and listen to his poems all her life than watch the boys play what she did not understand.
They got out of the game room. Eno did not fail to notice the disappointment on Isaac’s and Greatness face. They must have been so drawn to the game they were playing that calling them out of it wasike a punishment.
“The guest are here already. We need to get the party started”. The mother said as she walked in front of them.
“Mom!” Isaac exclaimed. The mother halted. She turned and asked him why he called her name like that.
“Your name is not mom for goodness sake. And before you take me off the rail, I thought we agreed there will be no party?” Isaac asked. The mother shrugged.
“At least they are my friends and your father’s friends children. They are all teenagers like you. Some of them arrived here like some minutes ago”. The mother said.
“Lie to me that your friends are not here as well”. Isaac said. His mother flashed him a smile. She told him it was no big deal if some grown ups do stick around.
