ARE YOU STALKING ME?

She got home earlier in the evening. Ethan was in the living room smiling on the phone with Axel. They didn't seem to notice her when she entered the living room, she had a lot of paper bags in her hands, containing different foodstuffs, frozen foods, fresh foods and the rest. Soon, she won't have time to go to the kitchen to cook. She would be so busy writing a manuscript and counselling people that she won't even notice that she had not eaten.

She started towards the kitchen, totally ignoring them. From the corners of her eyes, she could see them look up as she stepped into the middle of the room. She went into the kitchen and placed the paper bags on the counter.

"Someone didn't break the rule today."

She jumped at the deep male voice that took her unawares. She turned and saw Ethan standing behind her, she turned back to continue what she was doing.

"What do you want?" she asked without looking at him, but his scent was crawling into her nostrils.

"Are you stalking me?" he asked.

She stopped what she was doing and turned to look him in the face. She had a lot of answers to give him, but she knew that he was just looking for a reaction from her. "You know what? I can't do this right now." She started leaving the kitchen.

He reached out and grabbed her by her wrist, drawing her back. She missed her step and started falling backwards, he immediately grabbed her waist again, holding her firmly to himself. Her eyes were fixed on his and she was very aware of his strong arms around her waist. He held her eyes and her stupid breath started coming out in pants again, her lips slightly parted.

"I can't seem to stay away from you," he said, his voice raspy, his eyes searching hers.

She didn't seem to hear what he said. "What?" Her heart was racing now.

"There is no way that we would avoid each other as long as we're under the same roof. So, maybe we should just start learning to live with each other."

It took her a while to process what he had said. His scent was clouding her senses and his pale green eyes were distracting her thoughts.

"What, you can't talk now?" she heard him say.

She used all the strength in her and shoved him away from her. "Thank you for catching me. I still don't have your time." She walked away and hurried to the kitchen door, opened it and practically ran out.

Axel saw her running to her room, clutching her chest. She closed the door to her room and leaned on it. Her heart was hammering now. What was wrong with her? Why was she always having this hyper feelings each time she was with him? She was not even a hormonal teenager.

Ethan walked to the living room, where Axel was still on the phone, sat down and was still smiling. Axel stared at him in confusion, then he leaned in and whispered.

"Did you kiss her or something?"

Ethan turned to face him, he wanted to scowl at him, but her parted soft lips came to his mind. "What do you think?" he asked with a smirk.

Axel's eyes grew wider and he clasped his mouth with his palm.
