I covered my mouth with my hand so that I would not gasp out loud as he pushed it open, he peeped behind the door and I knew that he was still skeptical owing to the tale of blood that I told him.
He turned around and stared at us again before he entered the bathroom and closed the door behind him. I panicked and walked closer to the door, I was about to place my ear on it when he opened them suddenly.
"Now I question the truth about that belief," he said and closed the door behind him after he came out.
" I'll find those fools, they should not think that they have hidden from me! " He shouted and dashed towards the door like he was going to break it apart.
He opened it and before leaving he yelled at a guard who stood there "Inform everyone, find those guards and bring them to me!"
When he left I heaved a sigh of relief, but I wondered how he hadn't seen them. I ran into the bathroom quickly to figure out what had happened, even the princess went with me as there was shock written on our faces.
"Where are they?" I asked myself because I didn't see them when I got to the bathroom, it appeared as if they had vanished into thin air or had probably made themselves invisible with a spell that I did not know.
"Do you think they used a spell?" The princess asked me but I had my doubts about that.
Just as we spoke, two figures jumped down and took us by surprise, I was startled because I never expected it.
"Where were you two?" I asked them.
"Hanging," Allesio replied briskly.
" We need to get out of here and now, while Allesio and I were inside here, and while you were keeping the knights busy with these lies of yours, we discovered something remarkable and it may help us escape."
" What is that? " I asked and hoped that it was something so remarkable until he showed me a rope.
"A rope, what are we going to do with that?" I asked him.
"Let's get out of the bathroom first and I'll explain to you what we would do with it."
We left the bathroom and I wondered what they planned to do with the rope, I had so many questions on my mind like how they hanged, and how they found the rope inside the same bathroom I washed and saw nothing.
"Now listen to me, that window leads to the rooftop," he pointed at the same window that I needed a mop and broom to open.
"I'll throw this rope out the window and Allesio and I will go up to the rooftop. You'll use this to climb up and get to us, " he explained and I was confused.
I had no idea what he intended but I felt it was dangerous, for starters I was scared of heights so being on the rooftop was not something I ever imagined doing, and I did not know how to use a rope to climb.
As he knew what I was thinking, Adriel took the rope and tried a knot at intervals.
"Use this as a ladder, it'll help you climb easily, don't start climbing until I throw a stone in here, and leave the rest to us, trust me when you get to the window and look out of it, you would see us waiting for you," he assured us but I wasn't convinced.
I turned to the princess and she looked frightened, and I knew I wasn't the only one because I found his plan unexplainable.
Adriel had made a lot of failed plans so it was almost impossible to trust him on another one.
"Alright," I finally replied and he turned around to leave.
"Wait!" I called them back.
"Can you look into my eyes please Allesio?" My request was rather weird but I believed in the power of his eyes already that I couldn't resist, I felt it would give me the confidence to climb up and get over my fear of heights.
"You want me to do that?" He asked me and I nodded. I noticed that everyone in the room was surprised but I knew what I wanted.
He stepped closer to me and held my arm, he used his other arm to raise my chin so that our eyes Interlocked as always and then I felt that grip as usual and I knew that I already had the power I wanted.
"Thank you!" I said to him, it was the first time I felt a bit of myself when he looked at me like that.
He didn't respond or react but walked away with Adriel. I was scared because they were haunted, if they got caught then that was going to be the end of them.
They unlocked the door carefully and peeped out before leaving. I realized that they didn't lock the door after they left because I went close to the door as they left and held the doorknob to wish them good luck but the door opened up a bit.
I stared at the Princess and she also looked at me I'm surprised,
"Should we try it?" She asked me but both of us knew we were not fit for that job.
" If we do then Adriel's plan will be disorganized, we should wait and do as he instructed," I replied and as usual I maintained my respect.
Before he left, he tied a knot at the end of the rope and carefully threw it at the window bars in such a way that the other end came back to him after crossing the bar.
It amazed me how he did that. He took the other end and inserted it into the circle shape he tied first and then drew it backward.
He tied the rope on the bar without touching it and couldn't wrap my head around it. So I stared at the knots and I had the urge to start the climb but I had to wait since he had instructed us to wait till he threw a stone into the building. I hoped that Allesio's magic wasn't going to wear off by then.
