Chapter 10 A Hope

"Good morning, Mrs. Jiang," greeted a woman who happened to work at the front desk. Inevitably, the woman seemed very interested in the handsome man next to Mrs. Jiang.

The older woman smiled and looked at the woman who had been working for her. Then she turned to the handsome man next to her. It was as if Mrs. Jiang had something to say to Aaron Liu.

"Call the production manager to the meeting room! I want to talk to him," Mrs. Jiang ordered the receptionist.

"Yes, Mr. Jiang." Wasting no time, the woman went to the manager's room to inform him of Mrs. Jiang's arrival at the factory.

Mrs. Jiang then invited Aaron to enter a room. If you looked around, the room looked like a meeting room. With glass walls surrounding it, it seemed luxurious and classy for a factory's size.

Not long after they sat down, a woman dressed neatly and looking fashionable entered the room.

"Good afternoon, Mrs Jiang. How is he? Has it been a while since you visited the factory?" she greeted after entering the room where Mrs. Jiang and Aaron Liu were.

"Please have a seat, Ms Lee. I'll introduce Aaron as my new assistant. If my granddaughter hasn't returned, he'll do all my work here." Mrs. Jiang formally introduced Aaron Liu to the operations manager at the factory. He was the one responsible for taking care of all the work there. Of course, he was still under Mrs. Jiang's or her granddaughter's supervision.

Lee Hana, called Miss Lee, was the production manager. She's the one who holds the highest position there. It was still under the supervision of the JL Fashion company.

That woman was excellent. Even her body shape was like a professional model, reasonably competent in all her work.

Lee Hana was also reliable enough to manage several production staff. She could do the job by herself without an assistant.

"Is Mr. Aaron your relative? Isn't it strange that you suddenly have a new assistant who looks so young? Is it if Mr. Aaron can work in your stead, Mrs. Jiang?" Lee Hana asked several questions simultaneously as if she didn't trust the company owner's choice.

"My relationship with Aaron is none of your business, Ms Lee. You only need to work with him to manage the company. There's no need to comment on his performance." Mrs. Jiang snapped at a beautiful woman who suddenly turned pale at her expression of annoyance.

Aaron Liu understood Lee Hana was worried. He realized that he needed to gain experience in managing a company. Let alone going directly to the field.

It was a burden for Aaron Liu. He was afraid that he would disappoint a woman who had been kind enough to accept him and make him a personal assistant.

"Can I talk to you for a moment, Grandma?" Aaron asked an older woman who happened to be sitting next to him.

"Of course. Come to my room." Mrs. Jiang immediately rushed out of the room to her room. She wanted to talk privately to a man who had helped her several times.

Before Aaron said anything, Mrs. Jiang could already guess what the young man might say. She was sure Aaron was slightly uncomfortable with Lee Hana's offensive remark.

On the other hand, Aaron Liu was confused about saying something so disturbing and felt stuck inside. The man didn't want to have a unique position in the company at all. If it weren't for Mrs. Jiang, he wouldn't have bothered to take care of the company. Even though his family still owned a few companies, Aaron Liu wasn't interested.

"What do you want to say?" asked Mrs. Jiang without preamble. She wanted to hear what was bothering Aaron Liu so much.

"What if I just became an assistant without having to take care of the company, Grandma? I don't feel like I deserve to be in that position." Aaron Liu said of something bothering him since their conversation with Lee Hana.

That woman had managed to sway Aaron's heart. He felt he belonged somewhere other than Mrs. Jiang's assistant in the company. Therefore, he tried to persuade Mrs. Jiang to reverse the decision to make him her assistant. Moreover, to be given full power over the Jiang Family Company

"Why do you care more about Ms Lee's judgment than mine, Aaron? Do you doubt my ability to choose you as my assistant?" Mrs. Jiang began to burn with anger that she had been holding back. Aaron shouldn't have said that so clearly to her, even though it was clear that the older woman entrusted everything to Aaron Liu.

But unfortunately, that trust seemed to have been thrown away by Aaron Liu. It was enough to hurt the pride of Mrs. Jiang, who had expected too much from the young man.

"I'm sorry, Grandma. I didn't mean to say that. I don't feel like I deserve to be in this position. If Grandma believes in me, I'll fight hard to realize all of Grandma's wishes for me," Aaron Liu regretted to Mrs. Jiang, who was still looking at him.
