Chapter 49

"Then you have come here today for our help?"

Wu Jinjing's smile turned shy, she nodded slowly.

The woman chuckled. "Why are you so shy Xiao Jing? Where is our proud daughter above the sun go to I wonder--"

"Yellow Prance!"

"I recalled hearing from the Earth how many times you have put those humans to the ground--"

"Please!"

The woman, Yellow Prance, shook her head in amusement. She had thoroughly enjoyed teasing Wu Jinjing. "Alright, as you wish. Care to share with me why the Earth could not hear you these past days Xiao Jing?"

"The reason why I've returned so soon relates to that."

"Oh?" Yellow Prance raised a brow. "Do explain." With a single hand wave from Yellow Prance a table and chairs appeared.

There was hot tea sitting on the table. The smell of it reminded Wu Jinjing of a flower.

The two sat down. Yellow Prance listened to Wu Jinjing's explanation avidly. Taking few sips of tea in between. When Wu Jinjing finally finished her explanation Yellow Prance finally spoke, "That is certainly a mass endeavor. It is true that we plants produce and circulate spiritual energy around us. Though it will take perhaps thousands of years to fully turn the barren realm into a fully self-sustaining realm."

Wu Jinjing bit her lip, before smacking herself inside for letting her good old bad habit show. "Could you help us?"

Yellow Prance blinked. "Of course I could not do it."

Wu Jinjing's shoulder slumped.

"I alone am incapable of doing tremendous feats. But together…" Yellow Prance glances at their surroundings. "It is perhaps possible."

Realizing what Yellow Prance meant Wu Jinjing could not help but feel surprised. "You don't mean everyone right?"

"That is exactly what I said, no?" Yellow Prance took a sip of her tree.

Wu Jinjing worried, protested, "That's dangerous!"

Yellow Prance dismissively said, "You merely do not want any of us to meet these people you have been proclaiming as your siblings."

The trees, shrubbery, and greenery shook. While the beasts let out a cry. As if the entire living being within the realm was alive and in agreement to what Yellow Prance had said.

"I really am not trying to hide all of you from them. I'm merely worried, the barren realm is not a place that beings with reliance on spiritual energy should live in." Wu Jinjing sighed.

"We will be fine." Unlike Wu Jinjing, Yellow Prance did not seem all too worried for her own life. "The Earth told me that one of your siblings is proficient in the arts of array formation."

"That would be elder brother Feng Delun you are speaking of."

Yellow Prance nodded. "This secret realm we have been living in since I was merely a tiny yellow sapling barely out of the soil was placed by an Immortal in an excellent hiding spot. There had been no outsider that had trespassed our home, until you Wu Jinjing."

Wu Jinjing frowned. "What are you proposing Yellow Prance?"

"I say we move the secret realm to the barren realm." Yellow Prance smiled.

"Excuse me?!"

***

"Excuse me?" Feng Delun asked.

"That's what I said to Yellow Prance." Wu Jinjing looked rather slightly disheveled. Strands of her hair was sticking out everywhere. The woman tried her best to smoothen out the mess, but with her current mental condition she was creating more work for herself.

From where he was lounging, Jiang Xiaotong said, "Sounds like you have one of a kind helicopter parent."

When Jiang Xiaotong said this a certain baby poked her head out of a certain Immortal's robes. She was chewing on her bottle.

Li Jiayi had his note out. Then the bookworm of a man asked Jiang Xiaotong, "What is a 'helicopter parent'?"

Knowing that Li Jiayi was collecting his otherworldly dialect, Jiang Xiaotong briefly explained, "The kind of parents who are overprotective, they'll hover behind their children twenty-four-seven."

Some of them still could not draw a picture in their head of what a helicopter parent was.

The baby spoke, "Mah, ah."

Everyone in the room turned to Kaijun for translation. (Including a certain Devil Venerable. The man was good at hiding it.)

"..." Kaijun who had been demoted into a baby translator was not sure what to say to these people. He was supposed to be their golden investor. Their golden thigh to hug. When did he get demoted? He wondered. "She said a good helicopter parent example is Mo Huijun."

"Ah!" The baby protested.

Kaijun blinked. "Was I wrong? But that's what you said Xiaobao."

"Ah, ah."

"Oh is that how it is?"

How could a man and a baby have such a vivid conversation, was a question all of them were asking the millionth time.

Kaijun re-explained what the baby had said just now. "Mo Huijun is a reverse helicopter parent."

The rest of the room finally understood. So, a helicopter parent was the opposite of Mo Huijun. This they could imagine.

Mo Huijun smirked. He may not be able to grasp other ways of parenting other than his own technique. But anything that was the reverse of himself should be mediocre and lousy at best. "I'm afraid such a mundane treatment for you, daughter, would be insulting to my standards."

The baby once again secluded herself into her papa's robes.

"So is it possible for us to move a secret realm?" Wu Jinjing finally dared to ask the question that's been boiling for the past hour to Feng Delun.

"It's possible." The array master answered.

"Really?!"

Lai Meihui, Luo Huifang, Jie Qiqiang, and Jiang Xiaotong's gazes zeroed in on Feng Delun. These four felt the explicable feeling of wringing their elder brother's neck.

After discovering that Feng Delun could move a secret realm they all realized something. There was no need for them to go and rob the Da dynasty secret realm. They could have plucked it from the ground and rolled it all the way back to the Barren realm.

They didn't need to work so hard!!!

Then again messing up the Da dynasty was rather too easy for them these days. It did give them a sense of accomplishment. Back when their muscles were smooth like noodles and spiritual energy a mere trickle of what it was, they were smacked and beaten by the Da dynasty secret realm. Going around and smashing the realm that they had feared in their young days was a refreshing achievement.

Just because of the above it does not mean they will not resent Feng Delun.

This time their elder brother sent them out to work "hard". But on the other side Feng Delun knew how to make their work "easy" but decided not to. If this was not backstabbing them then what is this?!

Seeing his sworn siblings resenting him, Feng Delun sighed, and said, "I did not plan that far." It was his fault.

Lai Meihui crossed her arms over her chest and smiled a little mischievous. "Then elder brother must compensate us somehow."

Feng Delun lifted a brow.

Lan Jianhong who was supposed to have no grievances with Feng Delun inserted himself. Leaning forward he said, "That's right elder brother you'll have to compensate us."

Pushing Lan Jianhong back with the back of his hand Jie Qiqiang asked, "Elder brother owe you nothing. You didn't even come to the Da dynasty secret realm."

"But if elder brother had thought of bringing the Da dynasty secret realm back with him, we could have grown a silver tree forest."

That was Lan Jianhong's point of grievance?

Luo Huifang callously said, "A silver tree is a silver tree, we could get them easily Jianhong."

"But it's THE silver tree!"

The four people who entered the Da dynasty collectively said, "We don't care."

Beaten down, Lan Jianhong shrunk down. He went to the corner of the room and squatted there. Drawing circles from dust with his finger.

Standing up Feng Delun said one last thing before he left, "Then, as compensation all of you could watch over while I am preoccupied. Jinjing lead the way."

Wu Jinjing nodded and led Feng Delun away from the Barren realm. Not forgetting to taunt her sworn siblingings with a smile.

Li Jiayi who had been writing non stop on a parchment finally put his brush down and leaned back. "Huifang, I have finished writing up your disciple's contract."

Luo Huifang went to Li Jiayi and carefully took the parchment from the scholar's hand. The ghost cultivator read through the agreements.

On the side Tian Mengshen walked towards Luo Huifang. He was waiting for his Shifu.

Groaning Luo Huifang passed the parchment to Tian Mengshen to see. With her eyes half lidded the ghost cultivator said, "This is so detailed."

Li Jiayi said in a matter of fact way, "It's a contract what would you expect?"

Covering her forehead with a palm, Luo Huifang shook her head. "It's a little too detailed. Take example of a clause that says if 'Mengshen were to venture out of the sect and he would like to cause trouble he'll have to make sure that he wasn't offending someone of high caliber'. My disciple doesn't look like the foolish type to offend some emperor."
