My Daughter Needs You

"Have you lost your mind with your health? Are you even realizing the condition you are in?" he snarled, trying his best to control his anger.

She looked so fragile like his slightest touch would hurt her and he did want to hurt her for what she had done. She stole his child from him! Even if he forgave her for other things she did, he just could not bring himself to forgive her for taking his daughter away.

"Leave before I strangle you because my daughter still needs you." he growled in a low but dangerous voice as his eyes turned darker. Her eyes widened and her eyes filled with tears. She had always been this emotional.

His hands carved to hold her but at the same time they carved to slap her and tell her it was she who had destroyed everything. Even now when he closes his eyes, he recalls his smiling face when they were so much in love. Or he was in love while she was just cheating on him!

The fragment of love and care he was feeling for her was lost with that thought and his eyes turned colder. He did not want to feel compassion for this woman but she looked so sick, so frail.

"I thought you loved me!" she whispered before sobbing and covering her mouth as she turned to leave when he felt himself bursting. He loved her! Ha! He still loves her and the thought haunts him. He still states her for looking so weak and defenseless as if he was the villain here.

If only she had been living a lavish life, he would have tormented her the way he had always imagined.

"Why is she living this way? I thought she had earned good money by selling us?" his cold eyes victimized Damien who was standing behind Cassey who left with tears in her eyes.

He flinched at the sheer hatred in the voice.

"I…" he paused, failing to understand that himself too. "I want to show you something." he took Tyrone to the luggage he had brought from the house.

He opened the first bag that had clothes of the little girl. They looked so soft with lace and flowers on it. His face softened immediately as he imagined Penny in that lacy frock bouncing around and even kicking Damien.

Then Damien opened another bag that held small toys. It had a small doll made of clothes and a wooden horse and cart but those toys must look so cute in her hands. There were a few Cassey clothes too but they all looked… old and worn out. The colors had faded and he could see too many patches on the dress.

Except the dresses of Princess everything is too old and worn out as if it was never replaced but….

Damien hesitated. He did not understand it himself then how could he explain it to Tyrone.

"Say it!" he sighed as he felt the pressure in the voice of Tyrone.

"We have found one more thing in the small house." he picked up the smallest bag and opened it when the eyes of Tyrone narrowed.

The small bag was full of rare jewels and gold bars. It was enough to buy a large mansion in the capital or a small title and fief.

"She had so much yet she did not use it. I did not understand why?" asked Damien in a low voice as he placed the bag back and looked at Tyrone with a worried face.

"Investigate her more. I want to know what kind of life she has lived in the past three years." he announced before leaving.

"She must have been afraid of being caught. Since she is a commoner, if she would show gold bars or rare jewels people must be suspicious of her." said another knight who was silent all this time when Dami ran a hand in his hair.

He had the same thought but..

"What is the benefit of having wealth then? Since you could not even use it for your treatment when you are sick." logically, the knight was right but when he looked at that stranger whom he treated as his sister in the past, he felt something was amiss.

"You are just being affected by her tears. She is very good at it." said the knight looking at his torn face when Damien shook his head. He was not sure what he was feeling anymore.

When Tyrone entered the room, Cassey was standing at the window with her back facing him. Her shoulders were trembling and he could still hear her muffled voices.

Did she know his biggest weakness was her cries? And he was glad that she was not showing it to him for he did not know what he would do if she would!

He looked away towards the bed where the girl was sleeping in a strange posture. Her stomach was on the pillow and her ass was high in the air with her mouth open and drooling.

A soft smile crept on his hard face as he walked to her. He ran a hand on the crease of her brows and tried to smoothen it when the girl held his hands and pulled them closer to her.

"Momma needs rest and medicine. I will take care of the house with Jack." she mumbled as she held him when he stiffened.

"Jack!" the words dripped poison as it burnt his tongue. When he raised his head, Cassey was looking back at him. She had already wiped all her tears and was facing him with utter coldness.

"Who is this Jack exactly?" he asked without much thought, when he saw her eyes widening and then her face relaxing as she smirked.

"Why" she taunted him, "he is a close friend who helped me in taking care of Penny. He is like a father figure for her. So, do not provoke Penny by talking ill about him."
