No Turning Back

Ontario, Canada.

Souline's pov:

When I opened the door, I was greeted by two women who were both enthusiastic and oddly energetic. "Hey!" one of them said as she threw herself into my arms, causing my face to flush with surprise. The strong smell of old cigars and expired cologne quickly overwhelmed my senses, making it hard to hide my discomfort. "Um," I said, trying to regain my composure, "are you the clients we spoke to earlier on the phone?"

"Yes, ma'am, I'm Celeste, and this is my sister, Celine," Celeste introduced herself, with Celine following closely behind. I snapped back to reality and shut the door behind them. Alliana came, her face a mask of professionalism, but I could tell she was just as confused. "Are you our clients?" she asked, eyeing them carefully. "Yes, ma'am," Celine said as she sat on the couch. "But didn't we speak to a man?" Alliana asked, looking at me. "I thought the same thing," I said.

"That must've been our brother!" Celeste explained with a laugh. "We didn't know how to ask for help, so we had him make the call. He's more professional than we are!" "Right," Alliana murmured. "We need your help with a case," Celine said. Alliana gave a quick nod. "What's going on?" I asked. Celeste hesitated before speaking again. "Not too long ago, Celine and I were arrested and placed on probation for attempted murder."

"Attempted murder?" I asked, frowning. "Why?" Celeste took a deep breath, her eyes lowering slightly. "This is a difficult subject for both of us, but... we were both sexually assaulted by the same man." My heart sank as I processed what she said. I looked over at Alliana, who had quietly moved to sit beside them.

"I'm deeply sorry for what has happened to both of you, to the depths of my heart and soul," Alliana said softly. "No woman should ever have to go through this," I said. "Thank you so much; it means so much to us," Celine whispered. Alliana nodded and then asked, "Is the man in jail?" Celeste's expression hardened. "No way. The detective and court systems are sexist and broken. The judge didn't even believe us, despite the evidence we presented."

"The man is literally free and is most likely still assaulting women," Celine explained. "Agreed," I said. Alliana nodded. "Well, I believe you'd like us to help you get justice and put the man in prison, correct?" she asked. "Yes, ma'am, and we also want the detective and the judge fired," Celine said firmly. "Of course, I can help with this because it's a sensitive topic, and I've handled similar cases before," Alliana said. "But the hard part will be trying to get a judge and a detective fired for not believing the victims."

"How so?" Celeste asked, brow furrowed. Alliana looked at her seriously. "First and foremost, we need your proof and evidence." "We have them," Celeste assured her. I pulled out my notepad and began a new page. "Do you remember what the detective said to you when you showed him the evidence?" I asked. "He said it could be anyone's fingerprint, and that it didn't match the man's print," Celeste explained. "Did he even advise you to take a SA forensic exam?" Alliana asked. "Yes, we did, and the man's DNA was found on our clothes, bodies, and purses," Celine said. "Do you have a copy?" Alliana asked.

"Shit, we forgot it in our house, but we can bring it in next time," Celeste said. "Please do," I said. "Gotcha!" Celine said, nodding. "We will help you find justice. For the time being, I'm going to ask my friend, Giovanni, to redo your investigation and see if he notices anything new," Alliana said. "Is he a good detective?" Celine asked. "He's well-known and intelligent; he'll get the job done quickly," I explained.

"When can we return?" Celeste asked. "I'll let you know when, and please let me know if there is any other news," Alliana said. "Alright, guys, thank you so much for your help; we really appreciate it," Celeste said as they both stood. "Anytime," Alliana said. I opened the door. "See you guys soon!" Celine called as they walked away.

I shut the door and turned to face Alliana. "Would you like me to call Gio?" I asked. "I'll call him," Alliana said. "Those were probably the last clients for today," I said. "I'm going to put the other clients on hold until we finish them," she explained. "So you're not answering any of the other calls?" I asked. "Yes," Alliana said.

"Well, I'm going home quickly and then shopping. What are you going to do?" I asked while gathering my things. "I'm going to call Gio, then I'm going to take the day off," Alliana said. "Rest well," I said, wrapping my arms around her. "You too," she said, smirking before pulling me into another hug.

Flying to Ontario, Canada.

Kai's pov:

Vex, AJ, Denzel, and I were on our way to Ontario. I yawned and settled into my chair, the plush leather comforting against my back. It was extremely relaxing, almost soothing, as I stretched out. The luxury of having my own private jet made everything so much easier, no need for public transportation. The equipment was prepped in the back. I glanced out the window, wondering about Souline and Alliana. It was probably dark for them right now, maybe even noon where they were.

We left Mimi in the care of the maids at the mansion. I could only imagine how traumatized Vex was at the thought of feeding her again, he'd already complained about three tiny cuts that he insisted were "deadly." After slapping on some bandages, he was fine. But still, I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that lingered. How would this plan go? Would it be a success or a disaster? What if we got caught? What if Alliana decided to retaliate? I couldn't ignore the growing doubt in my mind about Carlos' intentions.

"So, when we arrive in Ontario, who will take us to Alliana's place?" AJ asked, breaking my train of thought. "I already have an Uber waiting for us," I said, tapping my phone. "You don't think Souline will be there?" Denzel asked. "I'm not sure," I said, glancing at AJ. I pulled out my phone and checked Souline's location. My brow furrowed when I saw the word 'unknown.' "Her address says unknown. Maybe she's at home," I thought.

"So, who's going to guard?" Vex asked. "Not you. If you can't properly feed a cat, imagine how horrible you'd be while guarding," AJ shot back. "Shut the fuck up!" Vex yelled. "AJ will come with me, and Denzel and Vex will guard," I said. "Ew, I'm stuck with this pussy?" Denzel grumbled. "You'd be dead a long time ago if we weren't companions," Vex retorted. My patience snapped. "Enough! Stop acting like kids!" I said, turning to glare at them. "Whatever," Vex muttered in response.

If they kept this up, I was seriously considering ordering the pilot to shut down the engines and crash the jet.

Alliana's pov:

I sat on my bed and pulled out my phone, dialing Gio's number. After a few rings, he answered. "Hello?" "How are you, Gio?" I asked. "Hey Alliana, I'm fine, how about you?" he said. "All right, I need you to do me a favor," I said, getting straight to the point. "Sure, what's up?" Gio asked. "Today, two SA victims came to Souline and I and asked for our help. They said the detective 'helped' them, claiming that it wasn't the man and refusing to believe them despite the evidence," I explained.

"Seriously? People like them irritate me. How can you not believe someone who has evidence?" Gio asked. "Both Souline and I thought the same thing. The detective's excuse that 'it could be anybody's print' didn't help," I said. "Did he even tell them to take the SA forensics exam?" Gio asked. "They did, and despite the results, he didn't believe them," I said.

"That's suspicious; I'll look into it," Gio said. "I'll have Souline send you their contact information," I said. "Okay, I'll get to work as soon as I get them," Gio said. "All right, Gio, thank you so much," I said. "Not to worry, take care!" Gio said. "Likewise," I said before hanging up the phone. I yawned and leaned back, glancing at the clock. It was already 4:40 p.m., almost five. I decided to head upstairs for a shower before getting some rest. I was ready to sleep early; I could barely keep my eyes open.

AJ's pov:

It took us about two hours to get to Ontario. The flight wasn't bad at all, and it went by quick. We told the pilot to land somewhere discreet, far from any prying eyes, and told him to update us on his whereabouts once we were settled. We climbed into the Uber, and it felt awkward since it had been a while since any of us had been in one, especially with a stranger behind the wheel. We hid our equipment into a bag and placed it in the trunk. Talking about our strategy wasn't an option, so we resorted to texting each other.

Vex: Where will Denzel and I stand at?Kai: The yard.Denzel: That's a dumb spot, what if anybody sees us?Kai: Just hide behind a tree or a bush, I don't fucking know.Me: You guys are dressed in black, just don't make it more noticeable.Kai: AJ and I will break into Alliana's house and do it from there. Then, once we get here, we'll go to the location the pilot sends us.Vex: That could be a long-ass walk, especially while holding someone unconscious.Me: Do we know anyone here who can take us there?Vex: Just bribe Uber with money.Kai: Who's going to ask?Me: I'll ask.

"Sir, what is your name?" I asked. "Michael," he said. "Michael, you'll do anything for money, right?" I asked. "It depends," Michael said cautiously. "What if I gave you $5,000 for your help?" I asked. "$5,000? I can go anywhere with that money!" he said. "All you have to do is wait for us once we arrive at the location and then take us to another one, just don't ask," I explained."Okay," Michael said. "Do we have a deal?" I asked.

"Yes, sir."
