CHAPTER 58 -THE BEGINNING OF THE END.

The atmosphere was melancholy as people bid farewell for a time, perhaps forever, to their beloved. It'd been three months since the siege. Apart from the soldiers Doria had managed to fully equip for the war since the last three months, the commoners had also awoken to the full weight of responsibility and countless men had willingly volunteered to fight in the war.

Though there were some who'd fled, who'd forsaken the city and their fellow brethren, The awakening of the common men lifted the spirit of the soldiers. The allied forces of Persia and Media had gradually advanced over the months and were now encamped in the valley of the fallen kings which was just opposite the city.

Doria would never be more prepared for the war than it was now. The day which everyone dreaded was finally upon them.
