Does he treat you well?

Alexander Sterling and Logan Johns were childhood friends. The Logan Family was as influential as the Sterling Family and they also had a lot of business ventures.

The Logan Group was headed by Paul Logan, Logan Johns father. He primarily involved in the tourism sector and he had a couple of five-star hotels under his name.

The Logan's Hotel was the name of his hotel chain and it had branches worldwide.

Logan Johns was the primary heir to the Logan Empire and he had a younger sister, Gia Logan who was quite opposite of him.

Logan Johns liked to have fun while Gia Logan was more reserved. If it was not for how alike they looked, they looked like they were not from the same family!

The Logan Group had business deals outside the country while the Sterling dealt with business inside the country.

Logan Johns and Alexander Sterling became friend at a young age and they went to school together and even attended the same college. They were excellent friend despite Alexander's occasional cold shoulder.

This time, Logan Johns had been away for quite some time and he was just coming into the country now. He liked to have fun and he also liked pulling Alexander to have fun with him.

He sighed when he saw how dedicated Alexander was in his work, "With how much you work, I don't think you will ever find someone to grow old with! I know Carmen just left but she would not want you to be tied to work in such a way!"

When Carmen Richards died, Logan Johns had been away and he could not make it to the funeral. He sent his condolences and that was that.

He had net Carmen Richards a few times when she was still alive and he knew how important he was to Alexander even the he never showed it.

Their marriage had been surprising and her death even more surprising but things happened and life had to move on.

Alex looked up when he heard that. His voice was slightly cold, "Watch it."

Logan Johns quickly shut up but only for a second before, "so, are we going out?"

...

Cindy Richards came up with a lot of designs for Benjamin Clarke. She showed them to him, "These are just some drafts of my own. Our team leader, Stanley Park will have to see them first and the team will also have a say in it. You can choose one out of those and we will see what we can work with."

It was getting late and she needed to get home soon.

Benjamin nodded, "I believe anything you come up with will be excellent. I will wait for your reply after you have spoken to your team."

Cindy nodded but she suddenly realized that Benjamin had placed two cups of hot chocolate in front of her. One was for him and the other for her.

She smiled, "I really need to get going. It is getting late."

Benjamin Clarke smiled, "It is just a cup of hot chocolate. We can have a small discussion while we are at it. Aren't you curious about me??

Cindy Richard loomed at him and then at the steaming hot cocoa and decided to pick up the cup. She texted Alexander that she will be home a bit late so that he does not worry and start looking for her like he did the last time.

Benjamin smiled when he saw her pick the drink. He sank in his seat and asked, "Have you been with him for long?"

Cindy Richards' cup stilled before she took a sip, "You knew?"

Benjamin Clarke laughed, "I was there that day at the club when he came to save you."

Cindy laughed, "So you saw everything? Why did you not say a word when we were at the office then?"

Benjamin looked at her, "That is your private matter, blurting it out without your consent is considered bad manners!"

Cindy laughed but deep down she was quite grateful. Her relationship with Alexander could not be known by the people in the office.

The news would cause a stir and that was the last thing she wanted. She was already going crazy by just seeing Joanna Bloom every day at the office and if the others started to gossip behind her back too, it would not be such a good thing.

"He seems to like you very much!"

Cindy Richards was in the middle of her thoughts when she heard Benjamin say that. She thought this was the most absurd thing she had ever heard.

"You think so?"

She asked. She desperately wanted to hear more of this as it made her feel better but deep down she knew that it was just wishful thinking.

Alexander Sterling liked her? She highly doubted that..

If he liked her then he would not suggest for her to work in the same place his mistress was. He knew she and Joanna Bloom would see each other every day yet he still...

She smiled sadly.

Benjamin looked at her and smiled, "I think he might me madly in love with you! I saw his eyes thag day and I can surely tell from a man's perspective that those eyes were full of love for you!"

He was there that day at the club. He saw for himself the reaction Alexander Sterling had when he saw Cindy being bullied by those people.

The deep pain, sorrow and a whole lot of love. He could never be mistaken about what he saw that day!

Cindy almost laughed out loud when she heard that. She drank her hot chocolate quickly and put the cup down.

Benjamin was watching her closely. He watched the sadness that was creeping in her expression and sighed.

He knew she loved Alexander too skinny why were there so many misunderstandings between them?

He suddenly found himself a question he probably wouldn't ask if he was thinking straight,

"That guy...does he treat you well?"
