For the first time in years, two days in this room seemed faster than two hours. Mirabel's lively company and ability to arrange for my transfer from the hospital to the estate were both key factors in making this happen. She even reprimanded Liam for sending me to the hospital and not staying with me the entire time I was there, which was only a little over 24 hours.
I'm grateful that someone as nice as Mirabel is watching out for me, and I'm even grateful that she got me out of that hospital, which was quite uncomfortable despite its exquisiteness. Even though the room didn't look like a hospital room, the prospect of being there made me uneasy.
However, it's funny how now she's overly protective, and won't let me step out of the room, or even do as much as get up from the plush bed. A sick person's life of spending all of my time in bed isn't my thing, even with the comfort of maids providing me with everything I need.
