Chapter 128- Fifth Floor: Relief

The Council of Divine Beings looked down at the surface where Haru was about to lose control over his powers and obliterate the Earth of this world. Their hopes of sealing his powers have long been lost. He was just too powerful to be contained anymore.

What was worse apart from his immortality was his constant growth. He could battle with stronger foes and on the verge of death he would obtain every single technique, skill, or blessing that the other party was utilizing to beat him. His body and core were made just like that.

If not for the sudden decision of his transmigration, then Haru would have lived through an eternity of rebirth again and again. But now, his powers were too unstable to fight against.

In his current state, it was impossible to converse or convince him. It was pointless to think Haru would ever listen to any of those reasons that could stop him. The only thing the council could do was to send him to the Eternal Sea where billions of souls reside and lock him up there until another warrior could arise and face off against Haru.

However, it would be challenging to keep Haru in that realm for long, and the hopes of the arrival of someone with the same potential as Haru was nigh impossible.

[But what can we do other than hope?]

One of the seven deities in the council room muttered in a hoarse voice while looking down at the surface.

[We can all put our strength into work and force him to the Sea.]

Another cluster of lights responded to the previous one; suggesting a forceful capture of the Demon into which Haru has transformed.

[But will that work? It isn't like we haven't tried it before?]

A heavy silence descended on the great hall where the seven gathered, as they remembered the past.

Amidst the growing silence, the one who was closest to Haru and cared about him the most voiced her thoughts,

[Why are you all assuming that Haru is a lost cause already? I request everyone to trust that girl and patiently watch, what is about to unfold.]

No one has hopes in Jinah nor in the fact that Haru could regain his memories and sanity. However, being urged by one of the fellow Seven, the others didn't voice their actual thoughts.

However, soon every single one of the Deities found their expectations getting betrayed and their eyes widening in utter shock.

That girl....what is she?!

Jinah appeared before Haru and her eyes widened for a moment.

He looked different. His body had grown and he was wholly covered in a black smog-like substance. Her instincts, which developed after she awakened, told her to run away. And considering the ominous aura he was radiating it would have been the best choice as well.

However, despite all things considered she didn't waver from her stance and looked at Haru with a smile lifting the edges of her lips.

"Long time."

He hadn't attacked her and only watched Jinah with an empty gaze.

Jinah thought she would need a lot of persuading and she might get hurt in the process of making him remember her—however, the moment her voice reached his ears Haru disappeared from his spot and suddenly, Jinah felt warmth engulfing him.

"Ah...." Her cute yelp was not intentional. Being hugged by Haru so suddenly was the last thing she expected.

The dark clouds around his body began to fade away as Jinah embraced him back and rested her head against his chest.

This was nothing different from all those times when she embraced him. Every time she hugged him her heart felt calm and all her concerns just burned away. However, this time, she felt more relieved than she ever had in the past

Although she knew her Haru would recognize her and get back to her sooner or later, she still was a lot nervous. After all, after knowing his origin she felt quite small in comparison to what kind of entity Haru is. But now, in his arms, all her worries and the build-up anxiety just washed away.

She was finally at peace.

The black smog finally faded away completely and his handsome face was in her vision.

"Welcome back." Kissing the side of his lips she greeted him. The smile on her face was so natural and beautiful that the other party nearly got lost in it.

"Jinah....I missed you...." Like a lost child, Haru snuggled his face in the crook of her neck and let out a long breath.

Jinah softly ran her fingers through his hair as she held him dearly in her arms.

"I missed you too..." Closing her eyes she felt a single drop of tear rolling down her cheek. However, that tear was not out of grief or any other emotion around it.

She was just too happy in this moment.

Those lonely nights. Those long days. Every single moment she couldn't hear his voice or feel his warmth—Jinah felt her life was incomplete with him. And now, like spring has finally arrived for her, all the colors of her life returned to Jinah.

Soon Haru detached himself from her, despite how both of them wanted to remain connected before he asked,

"How did you get here-well forget it. I know who brought you here."

Hearing his sullen tone, Jinah panicked a little as she asked, "Haru...you don't plan on making an enemy out of those beings right?"

From what Jinah had heard, those seven higher deities created Haru for their purpose and after they were done, they erased his memories and sent him through several reincarnations until he didn't land in the world where she resided.

Haru looked perplexed as he asked, "Why would I? I mean, aren't they partly the reason why we are together? How can I hate someone who helped me meet you?"

Haru softly brushed her thumb on her cheek as he muttered in a whispering tone. The fondness his eyes carried made her heart flutter.

However, before she could have tiptoed and kiss him, someone appeared on the left,

"If you have no plans of continuing your rampage then I beg you to please erase that orb of annihilation. The time barrier is about to break."

It was a woman with silver blond hair and blue eyes, wearing a nun like clothes and had a pair of white wings on her back

She was so beautiful and captivating that Jinah wanted to shut Haru's eyes right away.

However, seeing his indifference towards her beauty, she calmed down.

"Can't you do that?" Haru asked in frustration. He really didn't want to be disturbed right now

The angel shivered to hear his tone but held her composure and said, "Oh the Mighty One, the spell you chanted cannot be suppressed by someone as lowly-"

"Yeah, yeah; got it." Haru snapped his finger and in an instant, the small black orb that was inches away from the surface; disappeared.

The time barrier finally broke and the world regained its movement.

The angel bowed deeply before she said, "If you may, The Blessed One, then please visit the heavens for once."

"Mm...I will think about it." Haru nonchalantly responded before the Angel bowed again and disappeared soon after.

"Oh, so where we-" Haru was about to continue flirting with Jinah when suddenly someone again interrupted him,

"Haru, look out!"
