Chapter 136- Post-war plans

"Can you go into details please?" Jinah raised the question; clearly worried.

The subtle frown Jin-Woo showed also signified that the Ruler's words were taken not as fluently as the speakers said them.

The Ruler sweated profusely at that. He thought he wouldn't need to explain himself and after warning the Absolute One he would be told to leave immediately.

Haru, who read the thoughts of the winged creature, was feeling quite amused. A part of him wanted to tease the Ruler a bit but he soon shook his head and decided to have mercy,

"You can go now. Just keep your promise and do not interfere. Otherwise, the existence of Rulers would become history." Hearing Haru's words, the Ruler hurriedly nodded before sharp illumination covered the man and in the next instance, he disappeared.

"Haru?" Jinah didn't bother asking what this 'no interference' thing was and focused on the matter that concerned Haru.

What did that Ruler mean when he said that Haru can't remain in this realm or the humans will suffer?

Under her unwavering gaze, Haru yielded and disclosed what the Ruler failed to explain, "This world soon reverted to how it should have been. That is, without the existence of dungeons and mana. Every single person who awakened at some point would be retrogressed to a normal person after a certain period."

That made Cha Hae-In shocked, "That means, we will lose our skills and magic?"

"Yup. But without dungeons, will there be any necessity of mana in the first place?"

Hearing Haru's reasoning, Cha Hae-In blinked in surprise and was forced to think about what he just said.

Indeed, without any otherworldly dangers, there won't be any need for hunters or guilds. Normal crime and terrorist attacks would be handled by police and forces.

However, a part of Cha Hae-In was sad. But, she decided to keep it to herself.

"That still doesn't answer why your existence is a threat?" Jin-Woo asked since last he remembered, Ashborn never warned him about his presence in a mana-less world. That means this rule only applies to Haru.

"Sunbae....unlike you who can conceal his powers to the fullest, I cannot do that. Not because I don't have the capability but because I simply cannot hide the vast resources I possess."

Taking a pause, he let go of his restraint on his magic up to only 1.75% and Jin-Woo's eyes instantly glowed. Meanwhile, Cha Hae-In and Jinah's complexion grew pale feeling such a tremendous amount of magic from this close. It was a sensation akin to standing under an ocean of water which is weighing over their whole person; continuously trying to break the barrier and engulf them.

It was excessively suffocating.

If not for the fact that both ladies were clinging to their respective lovers, then they might have fallen on the ground.

Jin-Woo was feeling a bit helpless before asking, "....can't you lock this power away?"

"I tried but no. It would create ripples in the fabric of reality and—well, let it be." Haru's power is stored in several different dimensions and any more than this would affect the multiverse.

The motive of his existence was to create a being who grows without limits, and since Haru's existence dates back several eons, one could understand why he is so packed up.

Now the only way to live peacefully for Haru was to create a universe and find a way to distribute his power somehow.

"I understand what are you trying to say...but what are you going to do?" Jin-Woo, more or less was known about his junior's condition. But then again, everything comes down to a solution.

Despite being an immortal entity and possibly having the potential to become the strongest existence in this world, Jin-Woo was feeling quite helpless here.

Haru shrugged at that and replied, "I will do something about it when the time comes."

Jin-Woo could tell that there was something on Haru's mind but he was purposely hiding it. Well, not like Jin-Woo was going to force an answer from him.

"I guess this should be enough for a walk? Let's go back." Jin-Woo opened a portal and invited others. However, Haru, with a very sweet smile, told his senior,

"You guys go ahead. I wanna have some alone time with Jinah."

Jin-Woo's eyes sharpened a bit, but his sleeve was pulled by Cha Hae-In who was glaring at him already—knowing how her lover was going to react to Haru's response.

"We will be going, Hunter Nanase." With that, Hae-In pulled the Shadow Monarch through the portal and the two disappeared.

Jinah remained silent after she initially asked him for an answer.

Haru heaved a sigh before he teleported away.

The place where they appeared was in the middle of a forest and the weather was quite cold. Currently, they were standing above a pine tree from where the huge forest was visible.

Haru chose somewhere in Canada and currently, they were in the national park. The serene snowfall and the snow-covered tree made it look like a scenery out of a painting.

Haru has created a platform under their feet so they can stand comfortably.

Haru held her from behind and snuggled close. Jinah allowed her whole self to depend on him as she held his warm hands and closed her eyes.

A bit of serene silence remained between the two before Jinah uttered in a whispering tone, "Haru...can you promise me one thing?"

Without receiving any response from him she knows he agreed, that's why she didn't hesitate to continue,

"Whatever happens and whatever step you might need to take once our world reverts to normal...promise me, you won't abandon me."

Haru remained silent a bit. He didn't have the right to ask her 'Why would you even think that I will ever abandon you'. He has already nearly abandoned her once.

He held her tightly in his arms, before disclosing what he had planned,

"I am thinking of creating a world which can withstand my presence. And undoubtedly I will take you there with me."

Jinah jerked before she turned to look at him, "You can create a world?"

Haru chuckled and softly brushed away the snowflakes from her hair.

"Yeah, I can. Given the vast amount of energy I possess, it's quite easy."

Jinah's eyes sparkled as she immediately asked, "Then, can it be a supernatural world? Like what I have read in fiction?"

Haru 'hmm-ed' a bit before he asked, "Are you intending to study as a witch in a particular castle?"

Jinah's face turned crimson a bit, but she couldn't hide her excitement, "Umm...is it not possible?"

Haru didn't reply to that and decided to make it a surprise for her.

The thing that made his shoulders slump in relief, was that Jinah wasn't unwilling to separate from her family and readily agreed to follow him.

His wife is the best.
