Chapter 137- No other option

It was around eleven in the night when Jin-Woo and Hae-In returned to Seoul after bidding farewell to the two families. Although there were enough rooms in Nanase's residence, Jin-Woo had to return as Cha Hae-In had a meeting tomorrow early in the morning.

Naturally, no one insisted since both of them were young couples who would want to spend time alone. Also, despite how Hae-In has become friendly with Jin-Woo's family, there still was some distance that would be shortened with time.

Unlike Haru, who got closer to Jin-Woo and his family because of his easygoing nature, Cha Hae-In had a more shy personality—which explains the reason. However, Cha Hae-In does her best to get accepted by her future in-laws.

"Jin-Woo....do you think Jinah and Hunter Nanase would just....disappear?" While standing near the floor-to-roof window, Cha Hae-In asked in a daze.

Jin-Woo snatched his eyes away from his phone and looked at her.

Standing up, he walked towards her and stood behind the girl, before replying, "Most likely."

Wrapping his arms around her waist, Jin-Woo sighed and added, "Although I would try to find a route to keep them here...I know if Haru has said it's not possible, most likely I won't be able to do anything."

"And what about you? Would you be fine letting them go...., especially Jinah?" Hae-In asked with a slight tilt of her head and a concern written over her face.

Jin-Woo kept his gaze toward the illuminated city out of the window as he said, "I don't have any other option, Hae-In. If I don't let him take Jinah with him...then we might have to clash. "

Taking a pause, Jin-Woo added, "And if that happens then unimaginable collateral damage both sides have to face."

"....please don't think of fighting against him. Not only is Hunter Nanase a family to us, but he has saved my and Jinah's lives on several occasions."

Jin-Woo chuckled at that, " Don't worry, I won't. Haru is like a brother to me."

They both remained silent for a moment before Cha Hae-In asked in a hesitant tone, "...would you still like me, if I become just an ordinary woman?"

Jin-Woo was slightly baffled by that question, "I never started dating you because of your strength. Why do you ask?"

Cha Hae-In sighed, " I am sorry for asking something so stupid...it's just without these skills and my job as a hunter I don't know what I would do?"

Jin-Woo tilted his head as he asked, " You can chase your dream to become an athlete? Don't you like to run, a lot?"

Cha Hae-In's eyes sparkled at that. Indeed, without her powers, she would be allowed to pursue her dream.

Turning around, she held his shirt and closed the gap between their faces until their breaths weren't colliding

With a sweet smile that dared to melt his heart, Hae-In spoke, "How do you always make all my worries disappear in an instant?"

Jin-Woo held her waist intimately and replied in a hushed tone, "It's just you whom I understand so perfectly."

"...that so....then can you tell me, what do I need right now?"

Jin-Woo gave a soft nod before he cleared the gap between their lips and complied with her unsaid demand.

On one side, where the two young adults were embracing each other and making their night passionate, Haru and Jinah currently could be seen sitting on top of a water tank from where the small village looked quite beautiful.

Haru knew he was somewhere in England but didn't bother finding the exact location.

Jinah sat on his lap and leaned her body against him. She had a very relaxed expression, but a little tension was evident in her slightly swollen lips.

Haru sometimes becomes too intense. Well, not like she doesn't.

"Hey, Haru...when you were in that state...how did it feel?"

Without asking her for details, Haru somehow knew what she was asking.

He took an audible breath and shifted her slightly in his arms as he responded, "I had forgotten my origin and the powers I carry. Since I was slowly breaking my chains, the addition of strength made me greedy and conceited. I thought everyone was beneath me and those who defy to bow, shall perish."

With a chuckle, he added, " Like some certain Chinese novel villain or some sort."

Jinah turned to look at him, and asked innocently, "Then...how did you know it was me so easily? I saw a glimpse of your berserk state and to be honest, I thought it would take me some time to bring you back."

Haru hummed at that and thought a little before answering, "It's strange for me as well, that I was able to shred those clouds of arrogance and look past it to gaze at you. "

Taking a pause, he added, "Maybe because I love you so much, that I couldn't bear to show my ugly side?"

"I never thought you were ugly even in your demon state. You were kinda hot~" She grinned along with that comment.

"Heh~Does Jinah prefer that demonic side of mine?"

Jinah shook her head, and while rubbing her face against his neck she said, "I like what's inside. However you look or whatever you become, won't matter. I just know that I will love all your sides."

His heart skipped several beats hearing that. And the adorable cat-like gesture just melted his heart.

Seriously, how can someone be so adorable?

They both fell silent after that when suddenly Haru's phone rang.

He took it out and found it was a text from Riko;

[Come home! Kuroi is waiting to see you!]

Reading the text, Haru chuckled.

He was about to suggest that they should head back when he heard Jinah asking,

"....Haru...can...we t-tonight...?"

His heartbeat began to race as under the moonlight her charm seemed to have reached its peak. Suddenly the slight cleavage which her shirt was offering began to make him feel hot and her plump lips seemed to be inviting him again.

Holding her in his arms, Haru snapped his finger and stopped the world at that particular moment.

Making his family wait would not be fair given he woke up from such a long slumber. And not complying with such an insanely beautiful girl's demand felt criminal.

That's why he dug out a middle path.
