Chapter 12 - Overprotective Big Sister

Robert's POV

Once I arrived at my house, I opened the door and greeted, "I'm home."

But, almost immediately, Blaise went to me and checked on me for any injuries.

"Uh, what are you doing, big sis?" I asked her in semi-confusion.

"I'm just checking for any injuries you might have." Blaise kept on checking.

While I take off my shoes, Blaise looked at me. "Did you got injured at school?"

  "No?" I responded back.

  "Did you got cursed?"

  "No?"

"Did you get into a fight?"

"Not really, but I was force into a duel."

  "A duel?"

"Yes, with one of the princes of Saverfort."

This response from me causes Blaise to be cold, as if she had some kind of hatred or grudge against the royal family.

"You mean William Verde Demonheart?" she asked me, with her aura being dark around her.

"Uh, yes?" I answered back in semi-nervousness. "But, me and William-kun are now friends, and he apologized to me."

This calms her down, and she responded back in semi-seriousness, "I see. At least he became a friend to you, right?"

I nodded. "Yes."

With that, she went back to her alchemy work, while I went upstairs to change my clothes and study a bit.

As I study at my desk, I thought to my myself, "Man, she is so overprotective of me, or was she? But, I better put that question in the back of my mind for a while."

Later at the forest outside of town, while I was training with Blaise, I thought to myself, "Did big sis have some kind of hatred or grudge against the royal family? I'm not sure."

I then interrupted my training and asked Blaise, "Big sis, do you have some kind of hatred or grudge against the royal family?"

To that, Blaise thinks for a while, and she answered back, "Well, not really though. I just don't like them."

  "Why is that?"

"It's because they enlisted our parents' help during the war with Vanworth because of their elemental magic."

"I see. Does mom and dad only have Lightning powers as well?"

"Well, the truth is, they had more than one elemental magic."

This response from her really surprises me. "What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, mom is originally from the Windheart clan, one of the elemental clans from the Kingdom of Saheda."

"Oh really? The Kingdom of Saheda? Where is that?"

Blaise then shrugged, as if she doesn't know where it was yet. "I don't know. I only heard about that, but never learn about that."

"I see. Well, I didn't know that. I can't believe mom is from another clan and kingdom. But, I truly understand your feelings for the royal family."

"Thanks. I accepted your decision of being a friend with William."

  "Aww, thanks, big sis."

I then gave Blaise a quick hug.

  "You're welcome, Robert-kun."

Later at 5 in the afternoon, we went back home to rest up until 7 in the evening.
