Chapter 46 – After that Happening

Robert's POV

I got the shock of my life. It was Masanori Kawabata, the one I was searching for, who was talking to me.

"What? Masanori-san?" I thought in my mind.

Then, Blaise asked me, "Are you okay, brother?"

"Oh, you must his older sister, right?" Masanori asked Blaise.

"Yes, I am," Blaise answered back. "By the way, my younger brother here wants to join your weapons class."

"Oh really?" Masanori asked back.

But, I had to be honest, so I responded, "Yes, because I am interested in melee weapons."

"Okay, sure," Masanori replied back. "You can start once this winter break ends."

Delighted by it, I bowed my head for a few seconds. "Thank you so much."

"You're welcome," Masanori responded back. "Anyhow, what's your first name?"

"Oh, it's Robert," I replied back.

"Nice name you have," Masanori replied.

Then, William stepped in. "I'm also interested in melee weapons too. I want to join your class as well."

"Okay, you're in," Masanori accepted his request.

Later, at 11 in the morning, at the Central Investigation Headquarters, Derek was being interrogated by Nate and Augustine while me and the others, including Masanori, are outside watching through a little window on the door. In that interrogation, it is revealed that the motive behind the burglary and smuggling of my father's sword is that Derek is a sympathizer to the Kingdom of Vanworth, and he was a part of the Earthheart clan, which used to be dominant in that kingdom. I was surprised to hear all these things, and I was quite curious about the Earthheart clan as well, thinking about going to that place as well.

Later, at lunch time, Nate and Augustine said to me and the others that Derek was now in custody for his crimes.

"Okay, that's good," I responded without any overreaction at all.

"At least he's the suspect," Blaise added.

After that, me, Blaise, and Colt went back to the Lightningheart estate to report all of these to grandpa, Aaron. Not long after, at the Lightningheart estate, my grandfather was surprised to hear all these things, but he wasn't that shocked and instead he was grateful that my father's, or rather, his son's sword had been returned safe and sound.

"Yes, a person named Masanori Kawabata helped out by beating Derek up," I responded.

"He's also the weapons instructor at Robert's school," Blaise added.

"I see," Aaron replied back as he lets out a single, small cough. "Do what makes you happy."

"Aww, thanks, grandpa," I replied back in happiness.

Blaise and Colt then smiled at this.

The last thing to do to end this is the court trial.
