Rushing Into The Fifteenth Outerlayer... What?

Chirp chirp~

When Albrecht came to, the sounds of chirping birds filled his ears as his eyes fluttered open. For some odd reason, he felt rejuvenated, as if he just woke up from a deep sleep.

Subconsciously, he stretched his entire body before standing up, realizing that he had fallen asleep right beside Leslie's ice cream stall.

"Eh?" Albrecht let out as he looked around. Slowly, the memories of Leslie pressing both her hands on his temples returned to his mind, and his face reddened with embarrassment. Quite frankly, he had no idea what happened after that, all he knew was he had fallen asleep.

"Are you awake?" Leslie indifferently asked, resuming her cleanup duties as she packed up her entire stall.

"What happened? Did you cast a spell on me?" Albrecht asked. He didn't see Leslie as someone who'd dare do such a thing. Then again, it helped him out in the long run since he didn't have to suffer the entire trip.

"Looks like we've arrived." Adam let out as if he was a non-playable character talking to the protagonist. Offering his hand, Adam helped Albrecht up before addressing Leslie.

"I appreciate your help, young lady, for putting these two to sleep. At least we arrived without an even greater mess here." Adam let out a slight chuckle before slightly bowing his head at Leslie.

Fwooosh~!

Chills ran up and down Albrecht's spine as an intense amount of Zecian Aura suddenly clashed with his own. He felt as if something was lodged in his throat as his breathing became more difficult. It's as if the entire place was bearing down on him, pulling him to the ground.

"What's this?" Albrecht asked as he slowly regulated the Zecian Aura within his body. If he didn't consciously control his energy, he felt like he would explode.

"This is—" Medusa Yukina stared up as she instantly realized what was going on. Of course, as someone who came from one of the outerlayers herself, she knew that they were exactly in the inner outerlayers.

"This is… the twentieth layers or so… why are we here? And what's going on? Why are there people here?" Albrecht exclaimed.

This was the first time he heard about people residing within the higher levels of Groundzero. Moreover, based on the population, it's as if mankind was thriving.

Without further ado, Albrecht leaned in by the edge of the ship, only to see a huge Zecian Portal above the sky. He instantly recognized the Zecian Portal since he knew exactly where it led.

"We should warn everyone." Albrecht nervously swallowed his saliva as he swiveled his head at Adam. "No one should live here. They should move to nearby kingdoms in our continent. Otherwise, death awaits them here."

Upon saying that, Albrecht rushed forward as he utilized the knowledge from the System and his counterparts from other dimensions. He needed to conquer these outerlayers as soon sa possible, otherwise, everyone would die before he could do anything.

Biting his lips, Albrecht knew that casualties were inevitable,, but seeing the people in the docks, as well as the amount of houses all over the place, made him think of the worst-case scenario.

At most, all of these people would die.

'Not if I can help it!' Albrecht gritted his teeth as he rushed forward. The nearest outerlayer was the Fifteenth Outerlayer— The Outerlayer of Mythological Egypt.

"There's a glitch that allows me to spawn in the Chambers of Ra… but can I defeat him right now?" Albrecht knew that he was being too reckless. But this is the only way to alleviate the threats that endanger the population of this continent.

The Fifteenth Outerlayer was just one of them… there were nine more outerlayers within the continent but Albrecht knew that the Fifteenth Outerlayer was by far the most dangerous. That's why he sought to conquer it first before anything else.

Fwip~!

"What are you doing?" Adam was confused as to why Albrecht was acting that way. Just a moment ago, he was struggling with his seasickness, now he's running around as if his life depended on it.

While the two of them were running side by side with each other, Yukina also followed suit, wondering why Albrecht and Adam were rushing through the streets. She could tell that something was bound to happen, but she was uncertain as to what it was.

At the back of her mind, she decided to ignore the overwhelming amount of Zecian Aura in the vicinity. She was fairly aware that focusing on it would just attract unwanted attention, and she didn't want that to happen especially when Albrecht was acting weird at the moment.

"I'll need your help on this, Adam. With your help, we'd be able to conquer the Fifteenth Outerlayer. We have to do it right now." Albrecht said mid-breaths. There was no time to waste. If they're going to conquer the Fifteenth Outerlayer, then they must do so in haste!

"Why? What are you talking about?" Adam asked, still confused as to why Albrecht was so eager to conquer the Fifteenth Outerlayer.

Of course, Adam knew that the Fifteenth Outerlayer was the most threatening outerlayer in this section of Groundzero, but that doesn't mean they'd have to conquer it now.

"We need to conquer the Fifteenth Outerlayer now. As far as I know, it's already open… no, I'm sure it's already open. Judging from the Zecian Aura in this place, the Eleventh Outerlayer has already opened up… and that means the next five outerlayers are open as well." Albrecht commented.

"Yea, everybody knows that… but why do we have to conquer the Fifteenth Outerlayer now?" Adam asked.

At that point, Yukina finally caught up with the two, and she overheard Albrecht talking about conquering the Fifteenth Outerlayer. "What?!" Yukina almost screamed her heart out since Albrecht mentioned something ridiculous.

"Hurry, we have no time." Albrecht said as he rushed straight into the entrance to the Fifteenth Outerlayer, and then mentally prepared himself to solo it.

What he saw on the other side made him stop short. As the scenes unfold in his eyes, he couldn't help but hang his mouth wide open in utter disbelief.
