Elder Na Ren having received such a gift was noticeably and rightfully thankful. However the idea of the rainbow disappearing in contact with the ink force was disappointing. Though such a good gift would naturally have its limits. It made sense though since rainbows come and go.

"I'll thank my future son-in-law for this gift. I do wonder, why not give this to everyone in the cave heavens?" Elder Na Ren asked. Surely it was something Lei Jin could just rest a little and recover the strength required to do it over and over again.

"Aside from the vastly large number of open heavens that would get one. I have circumstances that limit such power. Such abilities come at a cost. Unlike Qi and World Force, My Rainbow comes from my own strength. It is mildly more difficult to recover." Lei Jin said.

"I see, so you must have your reasons." Elder Na Ren said, almost hoping to get the answer.

"My master himself didn't ask this disciple for such a thing. And where I was… Such a thing would have been a great boon." Lei Jin said, standing up to go check on something. "Any other questions can be answered by my wives. Though I would prefer you don't ask. Do what you will with that Elder Na Ren. But I must go take care of something at once." He added before vanishing as if he was never there.

"I see, the answer to my next question must hit a deep scar. Where was he? And who was his master?" Elder Na Ren asked.

There was a sort of awkward silence in the air. While the four of them looked at each other and pulled in a deep breath. The idea of telling her now was not unheard of but they each knew that Lei Jin would feel and sense this conversation. So no matter what it was Lei Jin would still feel it. All four of them knew that he went to the shrine. It was something he wanted to make time to do. This conversation only expedited his desire to go there.

"Elder Na Ren, can you take a guess as to how old my husband is?" Qing Ning asked the Elder.

Before Elder Na Ren even got a chance to speak all four wives opened up new jugs of wine. And drank right from the jug. It was clear even they didn't like speaking of it. However it was far more bearable to them. The alcohol wasn't for them though, it was so Lei Jin wouldn't be as tense and emotional while his wives regalied the tale of his so far relatively short life.

"I would have to say Lei Jin seems to be about 200 years old and some change. How strength is clearly unrivaled. So perhaps even 3… no… 400 years old." Elder Na Ren said, giving a serious estimate.

"Ahahaha, maybe we should let the Elder keep thinking that! Oh that's funny." Zi Rong and Ling Shi said in unison then laughed at each other for saying the same thing.

*sigh* "Elder Na Ren, Lei Jin, turned 41 years old, two months ago. He simply had an incredible growth rate and his master… Sir Azure Void Old Ancestor." QIng Ning said, then downing the rest of the jug.

"Oh he is that strong at 41 years old! Such talent! But how… Oh! I see… that shrine of his parents. He actually got to spend time with them. And this was on the battlefield right. So how old was he when his parents…" The Elder stopped speaking when she saw the tears coming down all of their faces.

"Xin Xia, you should go and be with him first." Qing Ning said.

"Right, husband is in the shrine now. I'll go and see him now. I'd also like to pay my respects to my master. Also to hold husband in my chest so the tears go away." Xin Xia said before she also disappeared.

"Elder Na Ren, my husband was 7 when his parents didn't make it back. Them along with their team bravely shielded one of the 8th ranks from falling on the battlefield. The only things left behind were the Artifacts they used to fight. Which are displayed in the shrine to honor their memory." Qing Ning said, simplifying the story. She could feel the wealth of emotion coming from Lei Jin.

"So Lei Jin has had it this hard. That must have been rough for him to go through. Without any other children to play or train with." Elder Na Ren said.

The night went on without much more incident. At least over there. In the shrine it was a vastly different scenario. Lei Jin and Xin Xia huddled together the whole night, each leaning on each other. Lei Jin was on his fathers side of the shrine and Xin Xia on the right side. It was a sight that could only be said to be both heartbreaking and heartwarming.

"Husband, we will find their reincarnations. I know we will." Xin Xia said.

She turned her head to look at the crying and smiling face Lei Jin was putting on. She had never been a pillar disciple, let alone know what it meant. However, even the connection through the rainbow aura wasn't enough to convey the pressure that Lei Jin was feeling. This face he made was more than enough to truly convey it.

He had to bear such a ludicrously heavy burden as the Pillar. Yet inside he was still just replaying the events of feeling utterly helpless as the last thing to remind him of parents and the family he had was nothing more than a pair of rings dropped into his hands. As a young boy who had only known the battlefield he knew this was a likely result. That didn't make it any easier to bear such a burden. Now it just seems like everyone wants to put more pressure so fast. It was at that moment she realized that Lei Jin had never got a good cry. After all, where would he? Such devastating things can only be righted by a mothers hug. He needed that place to cry but it was impossible. He lost such a place too early. Thus he was unable to just let it all out.

Xin Xia kissed him gently and then pulled his face into her bossome. "It's not the same. I know, but I can't help but want to do this for you right now." She said, holding him gently and lightly.

"Thank you, and I swear I… We will find them. Not only this. But I will get my vengeance on the ink clan for taking my family from me." Lei Jin said, wrapping his arms around her.

"I know… I know…" Xin Xia said. She already knew what his vengeance was going to be and it certainly wasn't just a simple matter of getting even. No! Nothing so simple, far from it.
