The Battle of Black Prison Territory (2)

~~The Front Lines~~

The sounds of explosions, collision's, war cry's and death cry's could be heard throughout the area. Now matter where you were, these sounds could be heard. With each side suffering casualties it was an absolutely brutal bloodbath of a battle. However, the Human Race's casualties were far below expectations for such a large battle.

~~On the Azure Void's Flagship~~

"Reporting, Sector 1's command reports!" A Messenger said, holding a jade scroll. They were relatively weak scrolls, but more than enough to deal with the transmission of reports safely.

Azure Heart took it out of the messenger's hands and inspected it. "No Royal Lords. Good. The casualties though… A shame they have passed. Jin'er will not like this news." She said handing it off to a Supreme Elder.

"Old Ancestor is right. It is a shame and a great loss with every name we must add to that list. But… without it how do we honor their sacrifice? And these deaths are lower than what we expected." He added, with a tone conveying that he was attempting to convince himself.

"We should be thankful it wasn't more. This is true. But it is also true that we should mourn the ones lost to us. They will not be forgotten. They must not!" Azure Heart said, the loss of life is fundamentally against her Dao. It was why she was so forceful on Lei Jin to form such a large family. The Ink Clan however, they are the exception. The Ink Force is just too unsightly and dangerous to the living that even she could not only kill the Ink Clan. But even gained a slight enjoyment from doing so.

"Yes," The Supreme Elder said, finishing up the reply. "Take this back to sector 1's command. Go for the Human Race!" The Supreme Elder said, handing a different colored jade scroll over to the messenger.

"For the Human Race!" The Messenger said, receiving the scroll and cupping their hands. Then departed with great speed.

"It was a genius idea to use the fastest people to do the deliveries of these messages. It makes communication much easier. An essential thing for such a large-scale battle." A Supreme Elder praised. "Looks like there are more messages." She sighed, knowing there would be more dead to transcribe. Her heart sank slightly since she was one of the ones in charge of transcribing the names of the fallen so they may be remembered properly.

~~Lei Jin's Battle~~

"That display earlier took a bit more effort than I thought. It's a good thing I managed to refine… Humph, I'd still win either way. It's too important for me to win. Like all things supported by pillars…" Lei Jin thought, as he evaporated another Royal Lord, with a look of pure disgust on his face.

"Keep attacking! Wear him down!" The leader of the Royal Lords ordered. Creating numerous angles upon which Lei Jin was attacked with Ink force blasts, beams and even hidden weapon type attacks.

"With so many attacks it would be rude for them to go to waste… Let's see just how much stronger I am then shall we…" Lei Jin said, creating a Rainbow Light color attack to match and meet the attacks head on. "Let's make it an even trade for now. Give them the false sense of security. If all goes well… I might…" Lei Jin thought as the attacks from both sides fizzled out into nothing.

"We can do this! Together we are equal in power! Push and we can win!" A Royal Lord called out with a new sense of confidence. A false… confidence. But he was too stupid to realize this.

The Royal Lords cheered and repositioned themselves together. "Take this you damn Livestock… AND DIE!" They all roared out with a furious and ferocious roar. Launching a mighty beam attack that rivaled the might of an Ink Giant Spirit God.

"Humph!" Lei Jin smirked smugly. Launching a simple attack to combat it. "I'll make it look like I'm trying. That way I can put even more fear into their hearts. Besides… It might buy me just a little more time. Precious breaths I shouldn't take for granted. Those who fall in battle today… I swear I'll end the Black Ink Clan and continue to be a beacon for the future." Lei Jin said, doing his best to accept the number of deaths his people have suffered during the course of this battle.

It was perfect timing since to the Ink Clan's Royal Lords, it looked like Lei Jin was struggling to deal with their attack. This emboldened and galvanized their efforts. Even burning away a part of their cultivations to increase the pressure on Lei Jin.

"This is it! Come on and push harder! We can kill the obstacle to uniting the Heavens! KILL THIS BRAT! FOR THE LORD MASTER! THE ONE TRUE GOD! INK!" The Royal Lord's Leader spoke out, increasing the morale of his fellow Royal Lords.

The attack grew in size and covered Lei Jin. Reshaping into a sphere around him to seemingly engulf his entire being. The Ink Clan's Army grew excited and began fighting more rashly. The Human Race expected this. And had prepared… counter measures, in advance.

"Raise the Banners! Activate the Arrays!" The Supreme Elder's ordered, without the slightest hesitation.

The Banners were lifted high and a super massive array filled the void. Each and every ship being a point in the Array. A point to direct power and control what was about to happen…

"I can't wait to see the look on the Ink Clan's faces when they see this amazing piece of work! AHAHAHA!" A Supreme Elder laughed.

"A shame those who fell can not bear witness to this." Another Supreme Elder mused.

"Ink Annihilation Pulse Array! Strike!" The Commanders throughout the void at each and every ship said in complete perfect unison.

~~Ink Clan Army's Side~~

"What are they doing?" A command Territory Lord wondered, as they saw the Human Race retreat into their ships.

"They could be healing sir." A Feudal Lord answered idiotically.

Then the brilliant light of the array began to form, causing an eerie chill down the commanding Territory Lord's spine. Then he heard the words of the closest Human Race Master. "Ink… Annihilation… Array? RETREAT!" He ordered…
