CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR: AS TIME PASSES BY..

YURI'S POV

" What's with the meeting?" Hyuna asked as she sat by the table," Yah and why at 12am in the morning?" Mina asked as she glared at me angrily," I thought of my dream and you guys clearly told me that I could tell you once it came to me." I said as they both cooled down, " Wow...what's it then?" Hyuna asked," A police officer." I said as I waited eagerly for their reply," Woah...how did that come to you?" Mina asked," It's a long a story but I just feel like it's what I should do." I added as they both nodded in approval," You can study to become anything you want...but remember what I said it should be something that gives you joy while doing it and not something that will make you regret you should have done something else." Hyuna said," Well other than that if you really sure...about becoming a police officer then I fully support you." she added," I do too." Mina said as well, I was happy because frankly speaking they also mattered alot in every decision that I made...so seeing them fully support me was all I wanted.

" Okay now that we all sharing news...I'd love to share mine." Mina said as we both turned out attention to her," Well I was invited over to the music school for an interview...I had applied a while ago and now I was invited for the interview, I did want to wait to tell untill I fully made it but it couldn't wait." she said as we both cheered for her," That's awesome...iam glad you back to following your dream." Hyuna said," I had never given up on it ..I was still a bit hesitant and was looking for courage to chase it." Mina explained," Iam happy to see each one of you happy..." Hyuna said as she pulled both of us in for a hug," If there isn't anything left then we should all get to bed." she added as we all agreed," Next time call for the meeting in the right hours Kang Yuri." Mina said as they both walked away..." Good night." I said as I happily went to my room.

« 14 DAYS LEFT » is what was written on the class room black board, I always got nervous whenever a day decreased from those we were left with to do the college entrance exams, it increased the pressure and made me extremely nervous,This was the period of awakening no one was risking their future to think of anything but standing at this time...we studied literally every where,in classes in the toilet and made other unthinkable places.

" Iam really nervous..." Nana said as we had our lunch," Like I've studied but I haven't studied enough." she added," Iam feeling the same too..I usually don't care about exams and I try not to force things but this time iam nervous." Ye Jun said as well," We all are nervous...but we also need to trust our efforts...we shall pass." I said as we all raised our glasses," To success." I said as we all cheered.

Weeks passed by, days passed by and it was finally the long awaited day for the college entrance exams...most of the times students are escorted by their parents and it's their parents that watch them enter these exams as they eagerly pray and wait for them to come back, Hyuna had to see Min young off since he was leaving for the city to work at his new job so it's Mina that escorted me to school.." Don't panic, read the question twice before answering and make sure you read through the answers before you hand it...if you feel uncomfortable raise your hand to the invigilator..all that being said I wish you all the best." she said as I nodded," Fighting...I and Hyuna will treat you and Nana and Ye Jun to a warm meal when all the exams are over." she added as she kissed my forehead and led me inside.

HYUNA'S POV

" You should go first.." I said as we hugged and kissed one more time," Just remember to always give me a call or a text...I'll come via the weekend to check your place out." I said to Min Young as he smiled and waved," Take care of your self, don't over work and make sure you tell me in case you are going through something." he said as I smiled with teary eyes and watched him get in the bus..," Good bye, I love you." I said as I waited for the bus to completely disappear..and then there I was feeling all this sadness..we were going to make it work regardless of distance..he waited for me for 10 years...so I can wait for him to fullfill his dreams and then we can be together.

" Here!" Mina said as she passed me a can of beer," we shall be in the same boat soon." she said as I opened the can and took a sip," Is Aaman leaving soon too?" I asked," Well yes..he was delayed because of his injury but it's healed and he'll be gone immediately since he has already wasted two weeks of the new semester." she said sadly as we both drunk our beer," I've never imagined being in a long distance relationship...but I'll try to make this one work." I said as Mina nodded in approval," Fighting!!" she said as he bought our cans together.." Fighting." I said as we continued taking sips of our beer.

MINA'S POV

" Are you really not seeing me off?" Aaman asked," I'll only feel bad if I see you leave...in any case I'll be coming to the big city for my audition next week...I'll see you then." I said as I smiled and hunged up," Where are these tears coming from?" I said as I threw my head on the pillow and groaned.

A long distance relationship is accompanied by trust issues and overthinking and constant missing, on top of that are never ending phone calls and test messages and again over thinking if neither of those are reciprocated, Hyuna and I were going through a really similar situation so we had to become such a big help to one another.

In just a few days, Yuri's exams had been concluded and so as agreed we had to treat then to a warm and delicious dinner," Why are we cooking instead of going to a restaurant?" Hyuna asked," it's more heart warming this way...plus don't we both need to get our minds off of Aaman and Min Young so there you have it." I said as we both continued preparing the meals.

YURI'S POV

" I want to scream..." I said as Nana cheered me on," We are finally done with exams.." she added," Let's go and have ice cream also plan our holiday before our results come back." Nana added as we looked back at Ye Jun who kept moving slowly," What's wrong?" I asked him," Did you mess up in exams." I asked as he glared at me," I wouldn't know if I messed up or not any way.." he said," So what's wrong?" I asked," What's wrong is that we done with highschool...I know iam supposed to be happy but I can already feel adulthood approaching...and whats fun about realising that life wasn't always as simple as you thought it was." he replied as we all stopped to think," Iam gonna miss highschool." he added as we both pulled him in for a hug," Now that you say that...I can't help think that it's true but what's the point of living in the future...let's enjoy the present." Nana said as we both cheered," So stop thinking about all those depressing things and let's go have some ice-cream, we also need to make it in time for the dinner my sister's are preparing." I said as we all moved hand in hand, Ye Jun was right..we are soon growing up am not saying we aren't grown up already but we soon experiencing some thing more complicated...and that can be terrifying but we just have to have hope that everything can go as smoothly as it has been going... hopefully.

" Dinner was wonderful...thank you so much." Nana and Ye Jun said as we cleared the table," It's okay, you guys actually don't have to do anything else..we were supposed to treat you to a nice restaurant instead of home." Mina said as we all interrupted," I doubt any restaurant would have food as amazing as what you and Hyuna prepared for us." Nana said as we all agreed," I don't think your granny would be happy to hear that, she owns a restaurant too." I said as we all laughed," Granny is planning to close the restaurant any way Soo it's all good." Nana replied as we all turned to her in shock," Why would she do that?" Mina asked," It's taking up more expenses and she only put it up for Min young, now that he's got a good job in the city...it can be turned into something granny can manage." she explained as we both agreed," Okay then...desert is waiting so you guys can finish up and come have it." Hyuna said as they went back to watch tv with Mina...

" Since when do you watch this show?" I asked Hyuna as I sat next to her in the sofa," Have you seen your friends off?" she asked as I nodded," I only see it when I miss granny..I even picture her sitted over there laughing and talking us into watching it." she said," I miss granny too...infact if she was here she would have been really happy to see us." I said as we both walked down memory lane.." Where's Mina? I asked," She was tired so she went to bed." Hyuna said as we both continued watching the show.

HYUNA'S POV

" How was your day?" I asked Min Young over our video call," It was tiring but I've taken a shower and now iam sober enough to talk with you till morning if you may please." he said as I smiled," If you tired then you should get some rest instead we can always speak some other time." i said," Is that okay?" he asked," It's more than okay.." I replied as I kissed my screen," Good night." I concluded as he replied and hung up.

YURI'S POV

The next days were about having fun together, visiting amusement parks beaches and waiting for our results and me helping out at the bakery since Mina had to practice for her interview at the Music school.
