Lynn drove off to his house and thought of what just happened. Normally, he found everyone like some toys he could play with, but Dexter was different. He didn't even know why he liked him, it was just so sudden.
He sat down and ran his hand through his messy long hair and thought of going back to Dexter tomorrow, but his thoughts were interrupted by a call from someone.
Lynn picked up the phone and on the screen appeared the word 'Boss'. Now, the only thing he needed was a call from his reckless and stupid boss.
"Yes, sir. With what can I help?" Lynn asked and pretended he wasn't disturbed.
"Hello, Lynn. How are you?" his boss asked with a kind voice.
"Something's up? You talk like that only when there's a problem." Lynn surmised.
His boss complained: " Maybe there is... maybe there isn't... I saw that your little bodyguard came and reported something really interesting."
"Yes, I sent him. Did he bother you with anything?" Lynn rolled his eyes.
"No, but I want you to come here. We have to discuss a bit about the boy. He is an easy prey and I want to meet him." his boss chuckled.
Lynn's eyes widened while he was listening to his boss's words. When he wanted to 'meet' someone, the job does not end well. His boss is always looking for people who are generally gullible and naive. He wants to be superior to them and he doesn't like when someone commands him and tells him what to do. He wanted to be in complete control over the person.
"So, Lynn, when we'll set up the meeting?" his boss interrupts his thoughts.
Lynn said, not very happy about it: "Um... I don't exactly know, boss. I'll see when I can bring him and I'll tell you."
"Great then! I'll wait but don't make me wait for too long, or I'll cut your head off. Yours and the boy's." he said and hang up, leaving Lynn staring blankly.
If he brings Dexter to his boss, he's surely going to end up either tortured, either fucked until he couldn't walk at all, or killed. But if he won't bring Dexter to his boss, he's also going to be killed, it doesn't matter if Lynn is killed. His life is anyways a big shit already. Everything that matters, the center of the Earth for him now was Dexter.
He suddenly got a message from his boss. What did he want again? The message said something like: "I'm sorry for not telling you that. Please come here NOW to talk."
Lynn got surprised by this sudden message. He didn't like going to that damn place and facing his boss. It was just... frightening.
He put his hood on his head, his hands in his pockets and with his eyes on the ground he left the house and headed towards his boss.
He didn't realize what situation he was in now, he couldn't decide if he will bring Dexter to his boss or not. He clenched his teeth while walking still with his eyes on the ground. He wanted to pass unnoticeable to the others.
He entered the building and went right to his boss's office. Two bodyguards stood like statues in front of the door. Lynn wanted to open the door, but the bodyguards put their hands in front of him.
One of them said: "No one enters without permission."
Lynn gave them a creepy look while saying: "I'm here on the boss's orders. Let me in."
The bodyguards raised their eyebrows while starting to laugh. "Do you think you're scary? I said no one enters without permission. Are you deaf?" one of them said while laughing his heart out.
Lynn made a step behind and he took off his hood, revealing his unchanged frightening expression and those grey glowing eyes.
"I'm sure you don't want me to cut off your heads. I don't like to repeat myself. Let me in." Lynn said with confidence.
The bodyguards got a bit scared, but they finally let him enter, rather than letting him cut their heads off.
Lynn entered the office and said "Still working at insurance? Don't you get sick of working that much?"
His boss raised his eyes from the papers and said, kind of bored: "Oh, is you. Listen, kid, I work to earn what I deserve, according to my intelligence and skill, and I would not comment on it. At least I work and don't rely on someone else's money, idiot."
Lynn complained, bothered by what he said: "Don't add the fact that I rely on your money, I didn't come here to listen to your modest talk. Tell me what you want to do with the boy."
"Seems you got a bit too interested in it. Why so much effort for a child?" his boss raised his eyebrow.
Lynn answered, amused: "He's not a child. Don't barge into your pedophile mind. He's over 20, I'm sure."
"You didn't answer my question." his boss commented, completely ignoring him. "Why so much interest for a boy?"
Lynn already got mad at his arrogance and wanted to strangle him, but he grabbed him by his hand and stopped Lynn. He approached his face and said: "Do that again, and I'll strangle you instead."
His veins wanted to blow and he wanted to choke his boss with his bare hands, but he was weaker than him, so Lynn ended up sitting on a chair and having a normal conversation with his boss, instead.
"I want to know more about that boy. After your bodyguard's description, he perfectly suits my taste: a prickly little guy I can take control over." his boss said, already dreaming of something more.
Lynn sighed, trying to control his anger. His jaw was clenched and he was about to snap.
"Bring him to me this week." his boss said all of a sudden.
Lynn asked confused: "Huh? This week?"
"Yes, I swear to God, go and take a test. I think you can't hear anymore. I said this week, so this week remains. If you don't bring him to me, I'll do it myself, and it'll be more painful for him." his boss said smiling.
Lynn remained silent. He didn't want to agree, or disagree.
"So? What do you choose?" his boss asked, waiting for Lynn not to agree.
"I will, sir. As soon as I find him, I'll bring him to you." Lynn said.
His boss smiled, surprised that Lynn agreed without hesitation and he specified the place and time to meet when he would find Dexter and when, eventually, he would keep him captive in his house again.
Lynn came out of the office with his hood on his head and his eyes on the ground, the way he came. He will bring Dexter to his boss, no matter what happens. He wouldn't break his boss's orders in a heartbeat, or the dust would be picked on him. He'll end up on the streets if not, so he preferred that way to be, even though he hated that idea to hell and back.
