Dexter pulled Lynn's shirt a bit to get his attention. Lynn turned to him and raised an eyebrow and then he leaned closer.
"What's with those stairs?" he whispered into Lynn's ear.
Lynn looked in the direction Dexter was looking and noticed some stairs.
"Upstairs are rooms for... more intimate things." he explained and then took another sip from his drink.
Dexter immediately understood what he meant but didn't say anything else. After some minutes, Paul's phone rang. Lynn and Dexter were looking at him as he talked to his phone, his expression changing constantly.
"What's wrong?" Lynn wondered and got out a cigarette.
"Louis. He wants to give me some papers to complete. I need to leave." he drank the last tear from his drink and then left the bar.
Lynn rolled his eyes and lit up his cigarette. Dexter caught the barman throwing him some glares sometimes, which made him a little uncomfortable.
Later on, some women came and tried to flirt with Lynn, grabbing his arm or neck or trying to unbutton his shirt. Dexter just looked at them while biting his lip out of anger and jealousy.
Lynn seemed to show no attention or attraction to the women, but they were more stubborn than Dexter thought. They started to touch Lynn, but he didn't seem bothered at all by that.
Dexter got mad and got up from the bar. He went outside of the club and leaned against the wall, sighing heavily. He was so tired of being played, and now even Lynn was toying with him.
He looked around the street while he hoped Paul will come soon to ask him to drive him home. He heard the club door open. He didn't bother to look who it was, but a very familiar voice spoke to him.
"Your boyfriend?" the male voice asked Dexter as he approached more.
"No... I mean... I don't know... I'm so confused." he said while he looked at the man who was talking to him. It was the barman.
He leaned against the wall next to Dexter and got out a cigarette. "Want one?" he asked.
"No, thanks. I don't smoke." Dexter answered.
There were some moments of silence when only the sound of the cars was heard in the background.
"Seems like you two are very close, right?" the barman asked.
"I guess so. I've been played twice. I'm tired of this." Dexter said, sighing as he looked at the ground.
The barman got closer to him. He took another smoke from his cigarette and exhaled it right next to Dexter's face.
"I'm sorry to hear that. You seem like a great guy."
"Maybe too great. I was being so kind to everyone since I got my mother's personality, yet everyone treated me like shit." his eyes started to get wet.
The barman grabbed Dexter's chin and raised his head. "You're great exactly like this. You need to learn to appreciate yourself, I see." the barman smirked as his face got closer to Dexter's.
Dexter didn't pull back or neither says anything. He just obeyed in silence, how he was used to.
The barman's face got closer, but then he pulled back and threw the cigarette on the floor, stepping on it. He came in front of Dexter and placed a hand on the wall, next to his head, and the other on his jaw.
"I won't judge you, and neither treats you like shit." the man whispered and then smiled.
He brushed his lips against Dexter's without any remorse. The barman held the kiss for some seconds, getting closer to Dexter as his thumb caressed his cheek. Dexter let out a soft yet almost silent moan and let himself be dragged into the kiss as he closed his eyes.
All of a sudden, Dexter didn't feel anything, like the barman suddenly broke the kiss. He opened his eyes and saw Lynn holding the barman's head against the wall while he looked at both of them with a disgusted look on his face.
He held the barman's head tighter and harder against the wall. He got closer and whispered in his ear.
"Don't you think, with your mind of a dumb man you are, that your business here is to sell drinks to people and not make out with someone else's man? What do you say about that?" Lynn bit his lip as he looked with complete hatred at the barman.
He just nodded with the power he had. "Y-yes..."
"Then carry your butt inside and if I see you getting close to my man again you'll not end well! Go fuck yourself, not my man!" he shouted and let go of the barman.
He immediately ran inside and Lynn turned to Dexter, with a cold and angry look on his face. He grabbed his arm and dragged him back inside. Lynn held Dexter's wrist tight that it hurt. They went up the stairs Dexter asked before and they arrived in a hallway full of doors.
Lynn slammed Dexter against the wall and placed his hands next to his head. He looked with any at him.
"Don't you think is a bit too impolite of you to make out with someone else right outside that damn door, hm?" he asked, their faces inches apart. His jaw was clenched and so was his fists against the wall
Suddenly, anger hit Dexter too. Why always be the one who's dumb?
"And you?! Don't you think is more impolite of letting women touch you like that?! Not one, not two, but three?! Why are you always thinking that I'm so stupid not to see everything, Lynn?!" he shouted, his eyes filling with angry tears.
He sniffled before he continued. "They were flirting with you and you just stood there! If it truly was something between us and you truly liked me, then you wouldn't leave them to do that!"
Lynn stayed speechless for some seconds, but then he asked. "Were you jealous?"
"Not only jealous, Lynn! But hurt, and angry... and sad! Because I'm always the one who gets played over and over! I'm tired of that!" he shouted as he continued to cry.
Lynn didn't expect that from Dexter, but it was the first time he was at fault and he realized that. He sighed and looked away.
Dexter put his hands over his face. Lynn felt a bit bad now, but he was still angry.
"You think you can just go and make out with everyone you see? Just because I let some women flirt with me?" Lynn wondered.
"You don't get it! Just... let it be how it is... You will never understand because you're never the guilty one! Only me! Maybe I'm the problem here! Yes, you're perfect, I admit, but I'm only a human being! I make mistakes too, I get jealous too, I get angry and sad too, I'm exactly like you are!" Dexter screamed uncontrollably as the tears were flowing like a waterfall.
"All right... All right... I'm sorry." he took Dexter and hugged him as he let his tears wet his shirt.
"I'm sorry, Dexter. You're right... I'm sorry." Lynn whispered as Dexter was still crying uncontrollably.
Dexter hugged Lynn back. "I... I know you can't hold back... I know you didn't have anything serious with anyone... But I don't like that, Lynn... I feel jealous... And uncomfortable... And if we truly are something, then let me know."
Lynn nodded. "All right. I promise you I won't let anyone else get close to me other than you. You're mine, Dexter." he kissed his forehead.
"Are we something?" he asked hope and hesitation in his voice.
"Yes... We are... We're together, Dexter. Since today on." Lynn said, hoping it will cheer Dexter up.
Dexter smiled and rested his head on Lynn's wet chest. He hugged him tighter.
"Since we are up here... shall we take a room?" Lynn asked, smirking.
Dexter blushed a bit, but in the end, he just nodded. He took Lynn's hand and looked for an empty room and even found one.
