Chapter 8 You Deserved It

By the time Selena stitched up the wound, she wasted no time rushing to the other operating room.

"Dr. Quartley..." Sandy quickly walked to Selena.

"Have you prepared the equipmet needed for the blood transfusion?"

"Yes Dr. Quartley, they are ready."

Selena laid on the hospital bed immediately. She rolled up her sleeve to expose her arm and ordered, "Sandy, take 300c first..."

"Got it."

Selena could feel her blood draining away and flowing into the patient's body.

As for Eva, she stood fearfully in the corner of the operating theater, as silent as the grave. Her lips were pursed tightly as she watched Selena's every move.

Although Selena knew Eva was looking at her, she refused to spare Eva a glance. Instead, she stared at the monitor, carefully observing the patient's vital signs.

After 300c of blood was transfused, Selena did not even have the time to cover the wound on her arm. She immediately hopped off the bed and started the operation on the patient. In order to speed up the transfusion, the hypodermic needle used for the blood transfusion was larger than usual, and blood was still flowing out from her wound. However, Selena did not pay too much attention to it.

"Hemostat..."

"Luna..."

"Gauze..."

Selena was completely focused on the patient.

After the operation was successfully completed, Selena's face was already pale from blood loss. Her open wound had already stopped bleeding after she left it alone for so long. It was only after the operation and she could finally relax that she noticed a tingling numbness in her entire left arm.

Selena took off her mask, marched up to Eva whose expression was ghastly and ordered, "You, come with me..."

Eva had no choice but to follow Selena out of the operation room.

"I..."

"Slap!"

Even before Eva could come up with a good excuse, Selena raised her right arm and gave her a good slap across her face.

"You... Did you just hit me?" Eva felt a burning pain in her cheeks. She covered her face in disbelief.

"Eva, did you not listen to one word I had said?" Although Selena wasn't as tall as Eva, her current words had managed to shake Eva to the core. She was definitely showing Eva who was boss, which made Eva's heart skip a beat.

Eva was horrified, "How dare you hit me? I am the daughter of the dean of this hospital. You just hate me because your boyfriend chose me over you! Even if I really made a mistake today, how could you hit me like this? You are just trying to take personal revenge."

Selena ignored what she said and warned coldly, "Eva, I don't care if you're the dean's daughter or not. You deserve this, so prepare yourself..."

Right then...

Hamilton had completed both operations successfully and he walked out of the operating theater.

"Hamilton..." Eva's tears fell as soon as she saw Hamilton. She complained pitifully, "My cheek hurts..."

Hamilton immediately saw a light red palm print on Eva's cheek. Looking at Selena's stubborn gaze and Eva's puppy eyes, he immediately understood that Selena had slapped her.

He walked up to Eva and hugged her, his gaze set on Selena as though she was the one who had done something wrong.

"Selena, why did you hit Eva? Even if she did something wrong, you should not have used violence!"
