Chapter 12 Take It Out On Me

If he was a soldier, it would explain all the bullet wounds and scars on his body.

She did not know how high a Lieutenant Colonel was ranked in the army, but judging from the respect the young soldier showed to him, he had to be pretty influential!

"Soldiers..." Sandy grabbed Selena's hands and exclaimed, "Are soldiers that handsome?"

Just when Selena was planning to reply to her, she felt a wave of dizziness wash over her. Her head grew heavier and her vision darkened. Suddenly, her legs gave way and she fainted.

"Selena, are you..."

Sandy wanted to try grabbing onto Selena, but a pair of strong arms supported Selena right before she could.

"You..." Sandy covered her mouth in shock while gazing at Jefferson, who was embracing Selena in his arms.

"Why are you still standing there?"

His eyebrows were tightly knitted together as he reprimanded sharply, "You are a nurse. I don't think I have to tell you what to do next, right?"

His voice was unusually cold and annoyed. It seemed that he was very anxious about Selena's condition.

Sandy pulled herself together and said, "Follow me..."

Jefferson bent down and picked up Selena, quickly advancing towards the ward.

This Bunny had obviously overestimated herself.

300cc of blood as well as two consecutive operations had long worn out her physical and mental state.

It was only a matter of time before she passed out.

However, she had tried so hard to pretend everything was fine that he could not even see through her.

......

Selena was extremely exhausted. When she woke up, she could see the white ceiling above her and the smell of the ever familiar scent of alcohol disinfectant.

She moved, only to find that she had an intravenous line attached to her arm.

When she tried to sit up, Sandy placed a pillow behind her.

"Selena, you're awake!"

"Yeah." Selena rubbed her temples tiredly, asking, "Why am I here? I remembered that I ..."

"You passed out and Jefferson carried you here. Don't you know! You almost scared me to death!"

Sandy looked at her IV drip that was almost empty. She quickly pulled out the needle and pressed down on the wound with some cotton.

"Selena, you are a doctor. Shouldn't you at least know that you have low blood sugar? You lost so much blood but you didn't rest and replenish your health in time. I'm so speechless with you."

Selena muttered, "Jeff... Jefferson?"

"Yep! He's that Commander Fenoli!"

Sandy continued casually, "Mr. Jefferson Fenoli is the leader of the special forces. The soldiers who are recuperating in Advancist Hospital are all his subordinates."

"Apparently, he's ranked quite highly. Just now, I saw Dean Scott attending to him personally with so much respect! However, Dean Scott is really unfair. There was not a single mention of Eva's mistakes..."

"Forget it!" Selena leaned against the pillow and sighed, "At least that soldier has been saved. If not, I'd never let go of this!"

"Thump, thump..."

There was a knock on the door.

"Come in!"

The doorknob turned open and Jefferson walked in.

Selena hand tightened around Sandy's hand unconsciously. Upon facing Jefferson, she felt somewhat uneasy.

However, Sandy withdrew her hand.

"Dr. Quartley, you probably wouldn't know, but Mr. Fenoli here was much more worried than me about you."

"What?"

Sandy winked at her and chimed, "Well, it felt as if he was about to take out his anger on me if anything happened to you. I still have the stuff to do, so I'll leave now. Take a good rest ..."
