Spiritual Recovery: Gamification of Reality

Title: 灵气复苏：现实游戏化 Author: 米一克 Status: 154 Chapters, On Hiatus The author has finished several other books but a month ago wrote a note that their grandfather, who raised them, had passed away and since the funeral they were having trouble writing.

The story was good till chapter 93, where mc straight up calls a man a N word and that "n i g r" people is the reason crime is high then goes on a very explicit monolog on why he does not like them including different skin color.

This actually feels pretty good tbh. Characters feel pretty interesting and the disciple is played out nicely. The world and interactions between characters within the world make sense. If someone came in and took credit for your work that you depended on to get promotions and stuff, you would logically not like them aswell. There isn't any stupid stuff what with people being obsessed with their country either. Tbh not much is known about the larger world, but it seems to be another world's inhabitants descending onto theirs and causing chaos with the federal government trying to stop them. Progression seems consistent and gatekept so the MC can't just immediately out level all danger since his level is locked to "Main Quests". All in all, seems like a novel that can get to 1000 chapters without feeling like it outlived it's concept or the system not being built to endure progression that long.

First of all, the whole idea of a "hidden supernatural world" is highly overrated. But aside from that, this novel is actually surprisingly good. I especially like how he's on such good terms with everyone because of all the NPC quests he did as a child.

mc is extremely racist. The story held me till the chapter that was titled the N word and is now called the thief. I unfortunately can not recommend this book and advise that you give it a pass.

I expected a #invincible type novel from the synopsis. But no, mc is weak. Yes, he has accumulated exp, but there progressively arbitrary reasons as to why he cannot use them at any given point in time. And the OP chick with a mysterious background ...ewwwww.

Racist af. Had an okay start but from around chapter 90 went into full racist mode, showing the true colours of communist China, I would recommend reading and experiencing the full-blown racism in this novel.

Be aware that is blatant racism in the book . Even more than the usual .

Bait and switch. summary says no bottlenecks. Inconveniently, he can not continue to level up without completing open ended mainline quests.…every 10 levels or so.

I bit boring and long-winded, so enjoyment is lost. MTL is worse than average and a lot of meaning is lost. There is a problem with fluctuating numbers, can be from bad mtl, but more likely author messed up. Looks like the work is abandoned as author stopped updating this one and started a new one

it was okay at first and at 98 it go full blown racist 😒 and it's a top 50 novel 😮‍💨

New twist on the gold finger though it's inconsistent how it technically delivers powers and abilities. Author is racist as well so I dropped it on chapter 91. I can stomach nationalism but that just crossed the line. Updates are slow.
