Gifts again!

Raunak groaned with the sudden knock on his door. He looked at the clock abd it was still seven in the morning. He was an early riser but for Deep, he slept last night.

The door was knocked again when he was about to ignore it. He thought it was hotel service but when he unwillingly opened the door, he found Drishti was standing in front of him, as usual in a saree.

He blinked his eyes even rubbed it with his hands. Maybe it was his dreams. But after looking at her carefully, he found it was true.

"Are you going to let me stay at the door all the time?" She asked amused with his behaviour.

"You are really here?" He wanted to confirm.

"Do I look like a ghost?" She asked curiously.

"Nah, I mean, in saree....You are not in India." He smiled bitterly and let her in.

"That doesn't mean I can't wear it here. I wear saree because I like it. You know i even wore a saree in a German ballet. Ain't I amazing?" She grinned.

Raunak was loss for words. Even in ballet? It was kind of too much.

"Why are you here?" He was mad at her. She didn't call him all the time, neither received his. Thanks to Shalini, she informed him about her whereabouts.

"Why? Can't I come? I was invited for the business event though I'm hardly in businesses. People think too highly of me." She made herself comfortable on the bed.

"Did you go to Germany to meet Blake and his new family member?" Raunak wanted to meet them too. But maybe he had a bad luck that this event came up.

"Hmm...they were expecting you. By the way, I became a Godmother now."

Before Raunak could even react, another knock interrupted him. He clenched his jaw hard guessing something. Of course it happen to him daily. Though he complained to the manager, nothing changed.

He knew a room service person must be waiting for him with a gift. As usual, he saw the same annoying face and the disgusting gift.

"Why today? Is it anything special?" He asked through his teeth.

"Sir, our manager was pressurised to do that. I told you before. It was an order from our boss. I'm sorry." The person apologised. He knew Raunak didn't like it, but he didn't have any way too.

"Is your boss a male or female?" Suddenly Drishti heard from behind. She was looking both of them amusingly.

"A female, ma'am." He replied with a bitter smile.

"Better. You would have been in problem if it's a male. " She smirked at Raunak. After receiving the gift, she gave the person a polite smile, "Please inform your boss, we are really happy to accept it. Thanks to her."

When she closed the door behind, Raunak looked at her questioningly, "What was that? You didn't contact with me all those days, even you didn't bother to recieve my call or leave me a smile text. Then you suddenly showed up in one piece and now a female person is giving me gifts and you gladly accepted..What the hell is wrong with you, Drishti?" He was frustrated. She was a hopeless romantic, okay...but this was too much.

"Why are you freaking out? You have good lucks in gifts. No one that mysterious even gave me a gift. I am jealous how expensive gifts you get." She blinked her eyes.

"You are the one who hate expensive gifts." He reminded her.

"After all I don't have such a luck you know." She pouted, "From how many days you are achieving gifts?"

"Since the day I checked in. I wonder why I'm the only one to get that." He felt he needed to complain the headquarters.

"Hmmm...Maybe you are too handsome to grab everyone's attraction. By the way why didn't you accept Mayank's resignation?" She asked.

"Why would I? He didn't give any damn reason." He would be in problem. Who would suffer for his works then?

"Please do it. It's urgent. He needs the resignation badly. For me, please." She pleaded.

"First tell me, where were you all these days?" He found she had no luggage with her, neither she seemed tired.

"Shalini already told you, then why bothered to ask?" She rolled her eyes.

"You didn't even care to tell me, damn you! You are getting on my nerves."

"Good to know. I can do that."

Kolkata

Mitali reached her office in a hurry as she needed to take care of Mohit's works. He just left in a hurry leaving all important files behind. His father was fuming with anger because of his carelessness. He didn't even bother to give any explanation.

Much to her surprise, she found his room was open and maybe there was someone inside the room. When she knocked the door, a deep voice echoed, "Come in."

She found the voice strangely familiar. But she was sure it was not Mohit's voice. His voice was much thicker than that.

When she pushed the door, she froze. She couldn't even move her eyes from the person.

"Doctor?" She was confused. It was the doctor, she met with Deep few days before. Why the hell was in Mohit's office? Even sitting on his chair?

"Err...hush....don't call me doctor now. Now I am Mohit's replacement. That brat left a lot of works behind and I am here to help him with those."

"You know Mohit and even how business works in designing sector?" She thought he had gone mad. He was a medical student for God's sake.

"I don't understand business. I will just attend the meeting on behalf of him. He sent me papers on what to do. Just need to give attendance, nothing more." He assured her. He knew it was not his work. But he couldn't hold back the interest to meet his father in law. It's been so long.

"Wait, do you know Mohit?"

"He is my brother in law. Heard about Maya? I'm her husband." He smiled.
