Against ethics

"Avantika, I don't mean to hurt you. But maybe I'm sorry. Maybe it's not time for our wedding preparation. It's not time for enjoying the ceremony." Anand wanted to be clear with her. Rajiv was really important in his life. Losing someone like him was killing him inside. But he couldn't fall helpless. He needed to find the root of this accident. But problem was he was not the in charge of the case. That happened under another police station abd the case in charge was a tough person.

"I know. I'm not unreasonable to pester you for something like this. Don't worry. Now we need to stay with them." She smiled at him. She couldn't help but think about Ragini. That girl lost her parents so suddenly. Of course it was hard for her. Maybe those people around her would never allow to feel her lack parents. But would she be ever able to forget them?

She was about to say something more but Anand got a call. Maybe it concerned the case. She didn't know what happened, he hurriedly went to meet Raunak.

Raunak was holding the sleeping Ragini in his arms. There were a lot of things going through his mind, Ragini, this accident, Drishti and Dutt publication and bank. The shareholders already made a fuss of it abd they were planning to take over Rajiv's share. Raunak didn't know how to handle them.

When he found Anand was coming towards him in a rush, he asked him to slow down pointing at Ragini. With a nod, Anand guestered Raunak to come with him. Handing Ragini to Drishti, Raunak went with him.

"Did you contact in Pune?" Anand asked curiously.

"Yes, we are waiting for Sanjana di's parents to come. Then we will go for the rituals." Raunak sighed. He didn't know how Dadu reacted with the accident. He didn't get time to meet her in the meantime neither she came to see them. He almost forgot about her.

"Her parents were sick. So they wanted to see them, right? They told you to keep Ragini for two weeks as you told me, right? But it's just one week. Where were they about to back in a rush? The didn't intend to do it before."

Anand pointed some things that were unnoticed by others. Raunak looked at him in understanding, "So something happened that forced him to come back. They didn't mention anything except their return."

"Hmmm...maybe something happened in Rajiv bhai's company. Check it out." Anand was not sure about it. But they needed to find.

"Okay, I will. But his shareholders are creating scenes now. I think I need to go there after fulfilling those rituals. " Raunak sighed.

"But it's hard to handle these. You guys don't even have the same surname. Do you think they will allow you there? Your family background will be brought up there. I'm not having a good feeling." Anand was right. What could Raunak say there? He is Rajiv's brother? Well, if he needed to make it believable he needed to bring the past.

"Then I will buy all of his shares. No matter how much I need to spend, I will do that. What I care is to give Ragini everything that belonged to her parents." Raunak was determined but he knew the path was really hard.

"It's not as easy as you say. Dutt businesses were really influential and not a thing to take down with a phone call. If you buy those shares, police will suspect you most. And police never keeps anyone out of suspicion." Anand was trying to point those facts.

"Let's think about it later." His brain was not working.

"Wait, there's something more, I found the driver who caused this accident. But that's unofficially. I mean I'm not in charge of the case. And I can't hide him for a long time. Tonight, I will interrogate him in my ways and leave him tomorrow. Just make sure one thing, don't let anyone know about it except Dri."

Raunak nodded. But before he could say anything, Sanjana's parents came to him. They already reached the hospital and met Rajiv and Sanjana. It was time for Raunak for set the dead bodies on fire. Raunak noticed, Drishti's parents were there too. He sighed and nodded again at Anand.

Before leaving with them, he just said, "Thank you for going against your ethics for me. I know you never did anything against the law but my circumstances made you do that. I'm sorry yet thanks a lot."

Anand smiled at him. Maybe Raunak was not the reason behind that. The reason was Rajiv himself
