Chapter 73

...

I never expected her to come for me that way, with so much force. That swept me off my feet.

My back hits the ground with a hard pressure that I almost thought I cracked a bone in there.

Her left leg was on my neck and she was strangling me.

“I told you. You’re just a weak hybrid nothing special.” My face had gone all red up and my breath was heavy. She twist her feet on my neck, and my hands were wrapped against my leg but there was nothing much I could do to stop her from hurting me.

“It won’t be fun if you die this way. Let’s have fun..”

she removed her legs from my neck.

I coughed immediately after I was free from her grip.

“Run!”

My hands were on the ground and I pulled myself up from there.

“If I get you, it’s all over. Amaia.”

“You shouldn’t be in me, I don’t want to be cursed or lived that way.”

“Cursed? You silly, you’re just privileged to have such powers. Ungrateful brat you’re.”

“I don’t want to be cursed. No!”

Veins bulged in her forehead, and she shrieked.

I won’t be able to run because of how tight my dress was so I’d have slit them with my hands. And ran. Even after I fell, I know I had to run because I was scared. I was just What she called me, a little weak wolf.

“..I didn’t train a coward, I’d a fighter, who never backs down from a fight and must win. That’s the daughter I trained...”

I halted immediately, it was his voice again, it was a father again but he was nowhere.

“I’m scared.” I broke down.

“I’m here. You don’t have to be scared. It won’t harm you.”

“Father!.” I cried.

“Why can’t I see you? Why?”

“Don’t bother searching for me, dearest. I’m always with you. Now go back and FIGHT! It’s your body. You’ve to win this. They’re waiting for you back home. You need to go back home. So don’t run, don’t give it a chance to get at you.”

“I won't.”

I wipe my eyes.

“Stay with me father. Fight with me.”

“Just like we practice. Hit. Hit and hit.” I smiled. Just like we practice.

I turned, and instead of running away, I was marched towards her.

“..Never backs down from a fight,” I muttered as I ran back to her.

Argh!

We clashed.

“Just like that Amaia, like that..”

We fought, I was gonna back down. Never would I do a thing like that. My dagger wasn’t with me, so I took something else. I bone I saw on the ground. A bone of a wolf it could be. I held the bone in my hands. Ready to deal with her.

Argh!

We both yelled when we were at each other, her grips were tight on me because at the first encounter I’d projected a weapon at her side ribs and I gave her a wound there at that spot. She hits me on the face with her elbow, my face spun and blood spills out of my mouth. I retaliated immediately, whacking her head with my weapon.

She staggered backward, I didn’t give her a single space, I kept attacking every second. So when she staggered and I height kicked her. She fell and I kept on hitting her with the weapon. But then I saw the dagger on her dress, she pulled it out and hurls it at me it thrust my arm and threw me backward. I moaned in pain and pulled out the dagger. She didn’t aim rightly. Now it was my turn.

“Don’t..” she groaned.

I wasn’t gonna hear that.

With everything I’ve got, I fling it at her and I know I won’t miss it. And I didn’t miss it.

It went into her heart. Slamming her where she was laying.

“..why did you want to end the curse? They’re heartless.”

“Not all of them are that way, you saw Zyair, Creamy too. My father and a lot of others are innocent and don’t deserve to die for the sins their fathers made. Let’s make this right. I beg of you. Save me from the curse. I don’t want to be a monster. I want to live like every other wolf. Please.”

I fell to my knees beside her. There she was fading off with the dagger in her chest.

“I couldn’t beat you because you’d so much love in you. So much love.”

“Cleanse me of the curse I beg of you. They’ve suffered enough. Let moonlight pack see light in our reign. Let it become a story there was once a Cursed Luna who saved them. That’s all I ask.”

“Why? Because you found love. You were the least to care about wolves.”

“I do now. A lot. I’ve gotten a lot of love from them. Love that I’ve never experienced before.”

“What can I say.”

Her body was perishing.

“Forgive us..”

“They don’t deserve it. For what they did.”

“You could tell it’s a new beginning for them all now. For us.”

Her lower body had all fades off. Remaining the upper body. I was bleeding so badly because of the wound I got from the dagger. The dagger wasn’t just ordinary. I’d know that and a slight cut at a vital spot could kill a weak wolf. I was well aware of that, that’s how I’d used it all along. But why I didn’t find it with me was what I hadn’t understood.

“In-depth of it all, it all comes back to one thing.” I stare at her like I was staring at her but not me.

“It’s all different now. Love rules overall.”

I smiled out of tears. My dress that was once stained with black was white again and not just did my dress change. Everything else did change back to the beautiful place it was. All the wolves that were dead came back and they felt the warmth of the sun. It was as if non of it had happened.

Everything was restored just the way it is.

“The daughter I’m proud of.”

“Father!” I wished I could see him. When I stood up from my knees. Her body had already evaporated. My arm was still bleeding. I tire from the dress and tied it.

“Father.”

“I’m here.”

“Where are you? Why can’t I see you.”

“It’s time you come home Ama. Never forget I love you so much and would keep protecting you. You did well.”

“Father...”

“Don’t leave me..” but there was no reply from him. I’d to go home but I didn’t know how.

I ran. But was still going in circles.

was I stuck here?
