Chapter 74

Creamy Pov

Though she told me to stay with Zyair I still couldn’t help but be worried about her, so I left Creamy to see if everything was alright. I just wanted to see her and when he woke up I’ll have something to tell him. How brave she was.

“Is she dead?” I asked the seer when I got there. There was blood all over her clothes and the place she lay. Her eyes were shut, I doubt if she heard me. She would probably be mad at me. Because I came here when she warned me not to.

“At the brink of it.”

“What would happen now?”

“She would’ve to fight against the curse.”

“And if she defeats it.”

“We’ll have to wait for her to wake up.”

“How long would that take.”

“That's if she ever wakes.”

“What do you mean?”

“She’s fighting, life, and death. She might wake with a low probability of that happening. She might get wounded by Dale.”

“Who’s that.”

“The cursed that’s in her, if it wins, Amaia would never be found again. Though it would still be her body.”

“If She gets wounded what happened next?”

“She might not survive it.”

“Can’t we help?”

He shook his head. No way would happen. That was what he meant. This was her fight.

“Where would She be?”

“Somewhere that had always been in her subconscious...”

She was gonna wake, I’d to hope on that. I know she would anyway. He hurried to her since he noticed something had happened to her. His knees went down next to her and touched her.

“..take her away from here.”

I walked closer to him.

“What happened.”

“She’s..”

I didn’t need him to say that word, I didn’t want to hear it either. I had the feeling he didn’t want to use that word too.

“..Resting, just like Zyair is.”

I nodded. It was better to say it that way.

“I’ll take her. But where?”

“Home.”

“I’ve told you everything that happened so now you, how it all had been.”

I was back at the house and Amaia was with her parents. I’d taken her home to her parents. Her parents wanted their daughter back at home, so I couldn’t bring her here. She would probably feel better there anyway. Then being here.

“It’s all had happened so fast. Just then we were having fun and never had any thought of something like this happening. Never pictured it but then it all happened and we all had no choice but hope for the best. And pray too. That everything works out fine.”

I was done cleaning his hands. I dropped them by his sides.

“I never run out of what to say to you, so you know how busy I’ve been with a lot of things happening.” I went to the side where his feet were with the bowl and towel. And continued doing what I’d been doing.

He wasn’t as cold as he’d been before, today he was warm and didn’t get me worried, unlike other days when I got scared something would happen.

“I’m still thinking about how I would face her when she asks me about her father. How can I tell her the old man is no more? And what he did for her. How would she be able to take all that in? I just thought it would be too hard on her. I know she’s strong but not when it comes to someone she cherished so much.”

I’d to explain my worries to him too, that was what I do. And he was the best to understand what I was going through. I tell him everything. He’s the best secret keeper as at now I was certain.

“Got a lot of work on my shoulders. And now I need to get to work. Busy as fuck. But it seems I’m not the only one who’s been busy this day. Seems you’ve been walking around more than I do. Are you here beside me, touching me? I do you listen but I couldn’t get the thought of you being a ghost! Creepy as Fuck.”

There were rumors in the pack, that he was seen at his favorite spot in the pack, the waterfalls. He was seated on the rock and stare at the waters, he was also at his father’s graveyard. And his brothers too.

And when they see him his shoulders were always slumped. His expression was blank and his eyes were droopy.

I didn’t know how real that was, I asked the seer about it and he said it could be true that he was seen around the pack.

Guess he’s been busy too just like I was.

I was done wiping his feet, I wore socks over it after I cleaned and dried. I took the bowl and towel away to the bathroom and came back shortly. Making sure he was okay in bed.

I wanted to leave the room when I saw his finger move. I thought I was seeing stuff. I walked back to the bed. And gawped at the finger and it moved again.

Damn!

“Zyair. You moved a finger didn’t you?.” My eyes crinkled and I was bobbling up and down. I saw it, it wasn’t my imagination. Zyair was waking. He was!

“C’mon move it again.”

I clasped my hands together praying. What if this wasn’t the first time it moved, what if it had moved before and I didn’t see it? And this was the one I saw.

I shut my eyes praying.

“When did you start praying this much?”

“Since the day you died. Wait what?”

“Dickhead.” I didn’t miss the scoff that came after.

“Zyair!”
