Chapter 5 - The Hunter is Civilised.

While they are eating, Elizabeth asks Harold, "How's the food?" Harold answers, "It's great, Beth. Like always. I love the way you cook" while Elizabeth responds, "That's great but how did the interview go today, Harold?". Richard and Victoria are surprised to hear that Harry went for an interview today since he never mentioned it to them. Harold informs Elizabeth, "The interview, it went great. Mr. Scott told me that I have the job and that I start tomorrow. I'm working the 5 to 12 shift but Mr. Scott told me that I am to do something which is called an internship for about 2 weeks".

Elizabeth, Richard and Victoria congratulations him while Elizabeth tells Harold, "It doesn't matter if it's an internship. You waited 6 months for this job. You can build on it just like you did as a fighter" Harold responds, "I'll do my best with what I've got like I've been doing my entire life. There were a few things that I wanted to talk to you about because that's why Richard and Victoria are here". Elizabeth asks him, "What would you like to talk to me about?" Harold brings up, "I spoke to Daniel today. He asked me to be his manager and I said that I would be his manager just I have to talk to you about it first and Richard asked me if I could train him as he plans to leave the Heavyweight Division and enter into the Middleweight Division".

Elizabeth hears him out and thinks about what to say. Elizabeth asks Richard, "Is this the real reason why you came here? To get Harold to fight again?" Richard responds, "What? Please calm down, Elizabeth. That's not why I came here" while Harold interrupts, "Richard never came here to get me fighting again. He came here to ask me to help train him in order to shed a few pounds and get him into the Middleweight Division, that's all. I'm retired and I did that to be with you". Elizabeth begins to see Richard and Harold's point of view. She asks Harold, "And what about Daniel?" Harold answers, "With Daniel, he asked me to be his manager. I've been training him for 3 week and I'd like to get back into boxing by being a manager, not a fighter".

Elizabeth understands. She asks, "If I let you do this then what about your job as a mechanic?" Harold tells Elizabeth, "I can still do that job and be a manager for Daniel and be a trainer for Richard". Elizabeth tells Harold, "I'm listening to what you're saying but can we talk about this later tonight?" Harold responds, "Sure, Beth. We can do that" to which Elizabeth and Harold continues to eat their supper while still having a good time with Richard and Victoria. After they're done eating, Victoria informs Richard, Elizabeth and Harold, "It's getting pretty late so we should probably get going soon" while Richard says, "Aye, just before we do, let's help Elizabeth and Harry clean up before we leave".

Once they tidying up is done, Richard and Victoria says thanks to Elizabeth and Harold for hosting them and for a good night and that they should do it again some time. Elizabeth and Harold smiles at them. Elizabeth says, "We should. It's not every day that we get visitors like we had tonight and it was great having you guys here". Richard and Victoria says their goodbyes and leaves the flat while Elizabeth and Harold accompanies them to see them off. After Richard and Victoria drives off to the hotel, Elizabeth and Harold waves them goodbye, heads inside the flat in order for them to have their talk about Harry becoming a manager and trainer. As they get back inside, Harry locks the front door as they head to the bedroom in order to have their talk.

Elizabeth has a seat on the bed while Harry stands in front of her as their talk begins. Elizabeth asks Harold, "Can you tell me what this is all about? With you wanting to be a trainer and manager?" Harold answers, "I just want to do something which I love to do and miss. It's been 6 months since I quit boxing. I know that it's unfair towards you because I quit boxing to be with you. I'm sorry for being this selfish since I promised you. I really am sorry but Daniel and Richard needs my help, so I thought about it and said that I'll only help them out if I spoke to you about this and got your permission". Elizabeth asks him, "Is this something you really want to do?" which Harold answers, "It is something that I'd like and want to do but if I am going to do this, it makes me feel guilty as I feel like I am betraying you. I promised you that I was done with boxing. If you tell me that I can't do this, then I'll drop it and leave it at that".

Elizabeth thinks about this. She tells Harold, "If I let you do this, I'll overlook that promise which you are willing to break but I want you to do this, promise me that if you become a trainer and manager, you won't do any sparring and get back into the ring, please, Harold. Just promise me that". Harold thinks before saying anything but he answers, "I promise, Beth. I'll keep myself out of the ring, like I did before. I appreciate you letting me do this, however if you want me to stop just tell me in advance so that I can inform Daniel and Richard" Elizabeth says, "Sure thing, Harold. It's getting pretty late and we both have work tomorrow so let's get ready for bed since its ready past 11 already". Harold says, "Sure, Beth. Tomorrow I am going to inform Daniel and Richard that I'm available to train them" so now, Elizabeth and Harold gets ready for bed, as they are in their sleepwear, Elizabeth and Harold gets onto the bed, kiss and make out before cuddling up together then goes to bed.

17th October 2011.

About 3 weeks has passed since Harold spoke to Elizabeth about becoming manager and trainer to Daniel and Richard and getting ready for Elizabeth's birthday today. The birthday party is being held here at the flat, as Harold and Elizabeth prepares for work. Harold is done while Elizabeth is still busy getting done for work and soon there's a knock at the door and it's Daniel. Harry welcomes Daniel inside then has a word with him in the living room. Harry tells Daniel, "In a weeks time, I'm going back to Fairfield for my birthday" while Daniel asks Harry, "What about training?" Harry informs him, "You shouldn't worry about that since it's all covered. You're coming with to Fairfield. I spoke to Mr. Stephen Levi and set up a fight for you, your first professional fight in boxing and I spoke to my brother, Andy, Chris and Richard. They agreed to help us out with training and with the actual fight".

Daniel responds, "Thank you, Harry. For what you've done for me because without your help, sir. I wouldn't have gotten to where I am today. I'll see you later" Harry tells Daniel, "Before you go, why don't you come over tonight since it's Beth's birthday tonight. It would be a good idea for you to come here tonight to meet the team that's gong to help you out in winning your first professional fight". Daniel responds, "Sure, why not, sir. I'll see you later tonight". Harry and Daniel says goodbye to each other to which Daniel leaves the flat.

Elizabeth approaches Harold. She asks him, "Who were you talking to?" Harold informs Elizabeth, "I just had a word with Daniel. I invited him over for your party tonight. I told him that I got him a fight and he'll be working with Chris, Andy, myself and with Richard too, maybe". Elizabeth responds, "That's okay with me just what about Manny?" Harold informs Elizabeth, "Chris informed me that Manny hasn't been doing good this past few weeks. Complaining that he has some pain in his liver, in his abdomen". Elizabeth says, "I hope it's nothing bad" while Harold responds, "I hope not". Elizabeth and Harold gets ready for work and leaves the flat together, they share a kiss then heads off to work.

Harold arrives at work and gets to working on the car which he's been working on for the past week. Harry is nearly done just Mr. Scott comes over to Harry. He informs him, "I've got to let you and everyone else go who are working here. We are forced to close the garage due to finance problems which we have been dealing with for quite some time". Mr. Scott gives his apologies to Harry, "I'm sorry for all of this, Harry. I truly am. I would like to have kept you on board, however I cannot" as he leaves while Harry realises that he is out of the job once again now but there's hope as he can focus more on being Daniel's manager, which makes him smile. Harry finishes off his work and heads to the gym in order to help Daniel train.

Once at the gym, Daniel and everyone else can see that something's bothering Harry but they don't ask him what's the matter as he continues to train Daniel by having him jump rope, doing sparring, working the heavy bag and doing some running with him. After Harry is done training with Daniel, Harry tells him, "Go cool off and take a shower since its nearly 4 o clock. I've got to get going, since it's nearly time for the party since it's the 17th October today and I've got to help prepare things before then since my family is on their way here from Fairfield" Daniel responds, "Say no more, sir. I know what to do and you should get going. I'll see you later as I've got a few things to take care of too". Harry says, "Okay, Danny. I understand" to which Harry and Daniel says farewell. Harry grabs his things, leaves the gym and packs his things into the Jaguar then he drives off towards the flat.

When Harry gets to the flat, he parks the Jaguar, grabs his things and heads inside the flat. Harry enters the flat and sees that Elizabeth is already at home. He approaches Elizabeth and says, "Good day, my love. How are you doing today?" Elizabeth responds, "Hello, Harry. I'm doing fine, thanks for asking". Elizabeth and Harold shares a kiss. She tells him, "Our family and friends are on their way so I need you to help me clean up while I cook" which Harold says, "Of course just let me put my things in the spare and bedroom then I'll help clean up". Elizabeth just states, "Okay, Harold". Harry leaves to put his things away while Elizabeth continues to cook.

Harold continues with packing away and cleaning up where he can. Elizabeth informs him, "It's nearly 6 o clock, our families and friends are going to be here soon, so expect any of them to come any time soon" Harold responds, "Okay, I'll be waiting for them to arrive, Beth". Not too long, there's a knock on the door. Harry goes to see who it is, when Harry opens the door, he sees that it's Elizabeth's parents, Julie and Gared. Both Julie and Gared has dark hair, although Gared has a darker shade of brown hair compared Julie while Julie has green eyes and Gared has brown eyes. Harry says, "Hello, Julie. Hello, Gared. How are my other parents doing?" and invites them in.

Julie and Gared says good day to Harry and states that they are doing well as the enter the flat. Julie and Gared greets Elizabeth as they hug their daughter and wishes her a happy birthday as they haven't seen each other in quite some time. Elizabeth asks Harold, "Let my parents have a seat on the sofa, please while they wait for everyone else to arrive". Elizabeth's parents hands Harry a few things before they sit down and wait for the party to begin and not too long after this, everyone else arrives at the flat.
